1 The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron—four in all.
Porro filii Issachar: Thola, et Phua, Iasub, et Simeron, quattuor.
2 The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, the heads of their families. In the days of David, 22,600 descendants of Tola were numbered in their genealogies as mighty men of valor.
Filii Thola: Ozi et Raphaia, et Ieriel, et Iemai, et Iebsem, et Samuel, principes per domos cognationum suarum. De stirpe Thola viri fortissimi numerati sunt in diebus David, viginti duo millia sexcenti.
3 The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah. All five of them were chiefs.
Filii Ozi: Izrahia, de quo nati sunt Michael, et Obadia, et Ioel, et Iesia, quinque omnes principes.
4 In addition to them, according to their genealogy, they had 36,000 troops for battle, for they had many wives and children.
Cumque eis per familias, et populos suos, accincti ad prælium, viri fortissimi, triginta sex millia: multas enim habuerunt uxores, et filios.
5 Their kinsmen belonging to all the families of Issachar who were mighty men of valor totaled 87,000, as listed in their genealogies.
Fratres quoque eorum per omnem cognationem Issachar robustissimi ad pugnandum, octoginta septem millia numerati sunt.
6 The three sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, and Jediael.
Filii Beniamin: Bela, et Bechor, et Iadihel, tres.
7 The sons of Bela: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri, heads of their families—five in all. There were 22,034 mighty men of valor listed in their genealogies.
Filii Bela: Esbon, et Ozi, et Oziel, et Ierimoth, et Urai, quinque principes familiarum, et ad pugnandum robustissimi: numerus autem eorum, viginti duo millia et triginta quattuor.
8 The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth; all these were Becher’s sons.
Porro filii Bechor: Zamira, et Ioas, et Eliezer, et Elioenai, et Amri, et Ierimoth, et Abia, et Anathoth, et Almath: omnes hi, filii Bechor.
9 Their genealogies were recorded according to the heads of their families—20,200 mighty men of valor.
Numerati sunt autem per familias suas principes cognationum suarum ad bella fortissimi, viginti millia et ducenti.
10 The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar.
Porro filii Iadihel: Balan. Filii autem Balan: Iehus, et Beniamin, et Aod, et Chanana, et Zethan, et Tharsis, et Ahisahar.
11 All these sons of Jediael were heads of their families, mighty men of valor; there were 17,200 fit for battle.
omnes hi filii Iadihel, principes cognationum suarum, viri fortissimi, decem et septem millia, et ducenti ad prælium procedentes.
12 The Shuppites and Huppites were descendants of Ir, and the Hushites were descendants of Aher.
Sepham quoque, et Hapham filii Hir: et Hasim filii Aher.
13 The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum —the descendants of Bilhah.
Filii autem Nephthali: Iaziel, et Guni, et Ieser, et Sellum, filii Bala.
14 The descendants of Manasseh: Through his Aramean concubine, Asriel, as well as Machir the father of Gilead.
Porro filius Manasse, Esriel: concubinaque eius Syra peperit Machir patrem Galaad.
15 Machir took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppites. The name of his sister was Maacah. Another descendant was named Zelophehad, who had only daughters.
Machir autem accepit uxores filiis suis Happhim, et Saphan: et habuit sororem nomine Maacha: nomen autem secundi, Salphaad, natæque sunt Salphaad filiæ.
16 Machir’s wife Maacah gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.
et peperit Maacha uxor Machir filium, vocavitque nomen eius Phares: porro nomen fratris eius, Sares: et filii eius, Ulam, et Recen.
17 The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.
Filius autem Ulam, Badan. hi sunt filii Galaad, filii Machir, filii Manasse.
18 His sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah.
Soror autem eius Regina peperit Virumdecorum, et Abiezer, et Mohola.
19 And these were the sons of Shemida: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam.
Erant autem filii Semida, Ahin, et Sechem, et Leci, et Aniam.
20 The descendants of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son,
Filii autem Ephraim: Suthala, Bared filius eius, Thahath filius eius, Elada filius eius, Thahath filius eius, huius filius Zabad,
21 Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son. Ezer and Elead were killed by the natives of Gath, because they went down to steal their livestock.
et huius filius Suthula, et huius filius Ezer et Elad: occiderunt autem eos viri Geth indigenæ, quia descenderant ut invaderent possessiones eorum.
22 Their father Ephraim mourned for many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
Luxit igitur Ephraim pater eorum multis diebus, et venerunt fratres eius ut consolarentur eum.
23 And again he slept with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. So he named him Beriah, because tragedy had come upon his house.
Ingressusque est ad uxorem suam: quæ concepit, et peperit filium, et vocavit nomen eius Beria, eo quod in malis domus eius ortus esset:
24 His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth-horon, as well as Uzzen-sheerah.

25 Additionally, Rephah was his son, Resheph his son, Telah his son, Tahan his son,

27 Nun his son, and Joshua his son.

28 Their holdings and settlements included Bethel and its villages, Naaran to the east, Gezer and its villages to the west, and Shechem and its villages as far as Ayyah and its villages.
Possessio autem eorum et habitatio, Bethel cum filiabus suis, et contra orientem Noran ac Occidentalem plagam Gazer et filiæ eius, Sichem quoque cum filiabus suis, usque ad Aza cum filiabus eius.
29 And along the borders of Manasseh were Beth-shean, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, together with their villages. The descendants of Joseph son of Israel lived in these towns.
Iuxta filios quoque Manasse Bethsan et filias eius, Thanach et filias eius, Mageddo et filias eius: Dor et filias eius: in his habitaverunt filii Ioseph, filii Israel.
30 The children of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah.
Filii Aser: Iemna, et Iesua, et Iessui, et Baria, et Sara soror eorum.
31 The sons of Beriah: Heber, as well as Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
Filii autem Baria: Heber, et Melchiel: ipse est pater Barsaith.
32 Heber was the father of Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham, and of their sister Shua.
Heber autem genuit Iephlat, et Somer, et Hotham, et Suaa sororem eorum.
33 The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were Japhlet’s sons.
Filii Iephlat: Phosech, et Chamaal, et Asoth: hi filii Iephlat.
34 The sons of Shemer: Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram.
Porro filii Somer: Ahi, et Roaga, et Haba, et Aram.
35 The sons of his brother Helem: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal.
Filii autem Helem fratris eius: Supha, et Iemna, et Selles, et Amal.
36 The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah,
Filii Supha: Sue, Harnapher, et Sual, et Beri, et Iamra,
37 Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera.
Bosor, et Hod, et Samma, et Salusa, et Iethran, et Bera.
38 The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara.
Filii Iether: Iephone, et Phaspha, et Ara.
39 The sons of Ulla: Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia.
Filii autem Olla: Aree, et Haniel, et Resia.
40 All these were the descendants of Asher—heads of their families, choice and mighty men of valor, and chiefs among the leaders. The number of men fit for battle, recorded in their genealogies, was 26,000.
Omnes hi filii Aser, principes cognationum, electi atque fortissimi duces ducum: numerus autem eorum ætatis, quæ apta esset ad bellum, viginti sex millia.
