Psalms 13

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત. હે યહોવાહ, ક્યાં સુધી તમે મને ભૂલી જશો? ક્યાં સુધી તમે મારાથી વિમુખ રહેશો?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

૨આખો દિવસ મારા હૃદયમાં શોકાતુર થઈને ક્યાં સુધી મારા જીવની સાથે હું તર્કવિતર્ક કર્યા કરીશ? ક્યાં સુધી મારા શત્રુઓ મારા પર ચઢી વાગશે?

3 Consider [and] answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;

૩હે યહોવાહ, મારા ઈશ્વર, ધ્યાન આપીને મને ઉત્તર આપો! મારી આંખો પર પ્રકાશ પાડો, રખેને હું મરણની ઊંઘમાં પડું.

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [Lest] mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

૪રખેને મારો શત્રુ એમ કહે કે, “મેં તેને હરાવ્યો છે,” જેથી તે એમ પણ ન કહે કે, “મેં મારા દુશ્મનો પર વિજય મેળવ્યો છે;” નહિ તો, જ્યારે હું પડી જાઉં, ત્યારે મારા શત્રુઓ આનંદ કરે.

5 But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

૫પણ મેં તમારી કૃપા પર ભરોસો રાખ્યો છે; તમે કરેલા ઉદ્ધારમાં મારું હૃદય હર્ષ પામે છે.

6 I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

૬યહોવાહની આગળ હું ગાયન ગાઈશ, કારણ કે તે મારા પર કૃપાવાન થયા છે.
