2 Kings 3
1 Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.
Jehoram, filo de Aĥab, fariĝis reĝo super Izrael en Samario en la dek-oka jaro de Jehoŝafat, reĝo de Judujo, kaj li reĝis dek du jarojn.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, but not like his father, and like his mother; for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made.
Li faradis malbonon antaŭ la okuloj de la Eternulo, tamen ne tiel, kiel lia patro kaj lia patrino; li forigis la statuon de Baal, kiun faris lia patro.
3 Nevertheless he cleaved unto the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.
Tamen li restis aliĝinta al la pekoj de Jerobeam, filo de Nebat, per kiuj li pekigis Izraelon; li ne forlasis ilin.
4 Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep-master; and he rendered unto the king of Israel the wool of a hundred thousand lambs, and of a hundred thousand rams.
Meŝa, reĝo de Moab, estis paŝtisto, kaj li sendadis al la reĝo de Izrael po cent mil ŝafidoj kaj cent mil virŝafoj kun ilia lano.
5 But it came to pass, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
Sed kiam Aĥab mortis, la reĝo de Moab defalis de la reĝo de Izrael.
6 And king Jehoram went out of Samaria at that time, and mustered all Israel.
Tiam la reĝo Jehoram eliris el Samario kaj revuis la tutan Izraelon.
7 And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.
Kaj li iris kaj sendis al Jehoŝafat, reĝo de Judujo, por diri: La reĝo de Moab defalis de mi; ĉu vi iros kun mi milite kontraŭ Moabon? Tiu diris: Mi iros; mi estas kiel vi, mia popolo kiel via popolo, miaj ĉevaloj kiel viaj ĉevaloj.
8 And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way of the wilderness of Edom.
Kaj li diris: Kiun vojon ni iros? Kaj la alia diris: La vojon de la Edoma dezerto.
9 So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom; and they made a circuit of seven days’ journey: and there was no water for the host, nor for the beasts that followed them.
Tiam ekiris la reĝo de Izrael kaj la reĝo de Judujo kaj la reĝo de Edom; sed kiam ili trairis vojon de sep tagoj, ne estis akvo por la militistaro, nek por la brutoj, kiuj sekvis ilin.
10 And the king of Israel said, Alas! for Jehovah hath called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.
Kaj la reĝo de Izrael diris: Ho ve! la Eternulo vokis ĉi tiujn tri reĝojn, por transdoni ilin en la manojn de Moab.
11 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah, that we may inquire of Jehovah by him? And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.
Sed Jehoŝafat diris: Ĉu ne troviĝas ĉi tie profeto de la Eternulo, por ke ni demandu per li la Eternulon? Tiam respondis unu el la servantoj de la reĝo de Izrael, kaj diris: Estas ĉi tie Eliŝa, filo de Ŝafat, kiu verŝadis akvon sur la manojn de Elija.
12 And Jehoshaphat said, The word of Jehovah is with him. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
Kaj Jehoŝafat diris: Li posedas la vorton de la Eternulo. Kaj iris al li la reĝo de Izrael kaj Jehoŝafat kaj la reĝo de Edom.
13 And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay; for Jehovah hath called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.
Kaj Eliŝa diris al la reĝo de Izrael: Kio komuna estas inter mi kaj vi? iru al la profetoj de via patro kaj al la profetoj de via patrino. Sed la reĝo de Izrael diris al li: Ne, ĉar la Eternulo vokis ĉi tiujn tri reĝojn, por transdoni ilin en la manojn de Moab.
14 And Elisha said, As Jehovah of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee.
Tiam Eliŝa diris: Mi ĵuras per la Eternulo Cebaot, antaŭ kiu mi staras, ke se mi ne estimus Jehoŝafaton, reĝon de Judujo, mi ne ekrigardus vin kaj ne vidus vin.
15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of Jehovah came upon him.
Nun alkonduku al mi muzikiston. Kaj kiam la muzikisto ludis, estis sur li la mano de la Eternulo.
16 And he said, Thus saith Jehovah, Make this valley full of trenches.
Kaj li diris: Tiele diras la Eternulo: Faru en ĉi tiu valo multajn fosojn.
17 For thus saith Jehovah, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, and ye shall drink, both ye and your cattle and your beasts.
Ĉar tiele diras la Eternulo: Vi ne vidos venton kaj vi ne vidos pluvon, kaj tamen ĉi tiu valo pleniĝos de akvo, kaj vi trinkos, kaj ankaŭ viaj apartenantoj kaj viaj brutoj.
18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of Jehovah: he will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
Sed ĉi tio ne sufiĉos al la Eternulo; Li transdonos ankaŭ Moabon en viajn manojn.
19 And ye shall smite every fortified city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all fountains of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.
Kaj vi venkobatos ĉiujn urbojn fortikigitajn kaj ĉiujn urbojn distingindajn, kaj ĉiujn bonajn arbojn vi faligos, kaj ĉiujn fontojn de akvo vi ŝtopos, kaj ĉiujn bonajn kampojn vi malbonigos per ŝtonoj.
20 And it came to pass in the morning, about the time of offering the oblation, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.
Kaj jen matene, kiam oni alportas farunoferojn, subite venis akvo per la vojo de Edom, kaj la tero pleniĝis de akvo.
21 Now when all the Moabites heard that the kings were come up to fight against them, they gathered themselves together, all that were able to put on armor, and upward, and stood on the border.
Ĉiuj Moabidoj aŭdis, ke la reĝoj venis, por militi kontraŭ ili, kaj ili kunvokis ĉiujn, kiuj povis komenci porti zonon, kaj pli aĝajn, kaj stariĝis ĉe la limo.
22 And they rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone upon the water, and the Moabites saw the water over against them as red as blood:
Kiam ili leviĝis frue matene kaj la suno ekbrilis super la akvo, al la Moabidoj de malproksime ŝajnis, ke la akvo estas ruĝa kiel sango.
23 and they said, This is blood; the kings are surely destroyed, and they have smitten each man his fellow: now therefore, Moab, to the spoil.
Kaj ili diris: Tio estas sango! la reĝoj batalis inter si kaj ekstermis unu alian; nun, Moab, iru preni rabakiron.
24 And when they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and smote the Moabites, so that they fled before them; and they went forward into the land smiting the Moabites.
Ili venis al la tendaro de Izrael. Tiam la Izraelidoj leviĝis kaj frapis la Moabidojn, kaj ĉi tiuj forkuris de ili. Sed ili venis kaj batis la Moabidojn.
25 And they beat down the cities; and on every good piece of land they cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the fountains of water, and felled all the good trees, until in Kir-hareseth [only] they left the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.
Kaj la urbojn ili ruinigis, kaj sur ĉiun bonan kampon ĉiu ĵetis ŝtonon tiel, ke ili plenigis ilin, kaj ĉiujn fontojn de akvo ili ŝtopis, kaj ĉiun bonan arbon ili faligis, ĝis restis nur ŝtonoj en Kir-Ĥareset. Kaj ĉirkaŭis ĝin la ŝtonĵetistoj kaj ĝisfine frapis ĝin.
26 And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew sword, to break through unto the king of Edom; but they could not.
Kiam la reĝo de Moab vidis, ke la batalo lin venkas, li prenis kun si sepcent virojn kun eltiritaj glavoj, por trabati sin al la reĝo de Edom; sed ili ne povis.
27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt-offering upon the wall. And there was great wrath against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
Tiam li prenis sian filon unuenaskitan, kiu estis reĝonta anstataŭ li, kaj oferportis lin kiel bruloferon sur la murego. Tiam la Izraelidoj forte indignis, kaj ili foriris de li kaj reiris en sian landon.
