< Romans 7 >

1 Or do not you know, brothers (for I speak to men who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man for as long as he lives?
Ta ishato tani wogaa eriza asatas yootays. Wogaa shemipora paxxa diza asa xalala harizayssa inte ereketii?
2 For the woman that has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband.
Issi macashi azina geliko ba azinara wogan iza qachetizay azinay paxxa diza wode gakanaskko. Azinay hayqiko iza machcho gidiza wogape anjjistaysu.
3 So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she would be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man.
Gido attin azinay paxxa dishin iza hara azina gelliko laymatasusu geetistaysu. Azinay hayqiko qase hara ura iza gelliko kase azina wogape anjjistadus attin layma getetuku.
4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God.
Hessa gishshi ta ishato inteka Yesus Kiristoosa asho baggara wogas hayqidista. Inte hayqope denidida kiristoosa bagga gidin nuni Xoossas ayfe ayfanaskko.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law worked in our members to bring out fruit to death.
Nagarancha medhetetha shenen nu diza wode hayqo ayfe nu ayfana mala wogay denththethida nagara amoy nu bolla oothides.
6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.
Ha7i gidiko kasse nuna waaxi qachida hayqida gishshi wogape wozetidosu. Hesikka kase cega wogan xaafetidayssan gidontta dishe ooratha ayana ogen nuni oothanaskko.
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
Histin nu ay ginoo? Be hu7es wogay naragaa? muleka gidena. wogaa bagara gidonttako nagaray azakone nu erokoko shin. wogay “amotofa” gonttako amoy azakone tumupe ta erikke.
8 But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead.
Nagaray qasse wogape kezida azazoy bessida ogen go7ettidi ta gidon dumma dumma iitta amo denithethides. wogay yanappe kasse nagaray hayqithiko.
9 I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.
wogay baynida kase tani paxxa dayisse shin wogay yiini qase nagaray paxxa gidides. ta gidikko hayqadis.
10 The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death;
He asi ashana qofetida azazoyka hayqo ekii yidaysa eradis.
11 for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.
Nagaray woga baggara bettida gaason go7ettidi tana balethidesine azazon wodhides.
12 Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, righteous, and good.
Hessa gishshi wogay ba baggara geeshshikko. azazoyka geesh, xiilone loo7okko.
13 Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.
Gido attin loo7osu hanidaysi taas hayqos gididee? Mulekka gidena. Gido attin nagaray ba nagaratethan eretana mala loo7o gidida hano bagara ta bolla hayqo ehides. Hesikka nagaray azazo baggara kassepe aathi nagara darisides.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.
Wogay ayana yo gididaysa nu erosu. Ta qasse nagaras aylle mala bayzetida asikko.
15 For I do not understand what I am doing. For I do not practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.
Tani ta oothizayssa erike. Ta oothana koyzayssa ootha erike shin ta ixxiza miishsh oothays.
16 But if what I do not desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.
Ta oothana koyontta miish oothiza gidikko wogay loo7o gididaysa ta marikatays.
17 So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
Hessa oothizay tana gidontta ta gaathan diza nagaray oothees.
18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I do not find it doing that which is good.
Tanan hesikka nagarancha gidida ta madhetetha gidon ayko loo7o miishshi baynidayssa ta erays. Loo7o oothanasi taas amotethi dees shin polla ootha erikke.
19 For the good which I desire, I do not do; but the evil which I do not desire, that I practice.
Ta oothizay oothana gaada koyza loo7o ootho giden. Gido attin ta oothana koyontta iitta ootho oothays.
20 But if what I do not desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
Tani oothanas koyonttayssa oothiza gidiko hessa oothizay tana gidontta ta gidon diza nagarakko.
21 I find then the law that, while I desire to do good, evil is present.
Hessa gishshi haysi wogay oothon dizaysi taas gellides. Hessikka tani loo7o oothana koyaysishin tani iitta oothays.
22 For I delight in God’s law after the inward person,
Tani ta gaathara Xoossa wogan ufa7istays.
23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.
Gido attin ta asatetha gidon oothiza nagara wogay tana qachi oykidi ta qofa wogara oletiza hara wogay ta asatetha gidon oothishin beyays.
24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?
Ta aymala laafa asee! Hayssa hayqosi imettida asatethafe tana ashanay oonee?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, sin’s law.
Nu Goda Yesus Kiristoosa baggara galatay Xoossas gido. Histinkko tani ta baggara ta qofan Xoossa wogasi aylle gidashe tani Ta medhetetha wogan nagara wogas aylleko.
