Romans 2

1 Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.

ਹੇ ਪਰਦੂਸ਼਼ਕ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯ ਯਃ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਨ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਭਵਸਿ ਤਵੋੱਤਰਦਾਨਾਯ ਪਨ੍ਥਾ ਨਾਸ੍ਤਿ ਯਤੋ ਯਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਣਃ ਪਰਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਯਾ ਦੂਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵਮਪਿ ਦੂਸ਼਼੍ਯਸੇ, ਯਤਸ੍ਤੰ ਦੂਸ਼਼ਯੰਨਪਿ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਤਦ੍ਵਦ੍ ਆਚਰਸਿ|

2 We know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.

ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵੇਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਗਾਚਾਰਿਭ੍ਯੋ ਯੰ ਦਣ੍ਡਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੋ ਨਿਸ਼੍ਚਿਨੋਤਿ ਸ ਯਥਾਰ੍ਥ ਇਤਿ ਵਯੰ ਜਾਨੀਮਃ|

3 Do you think this, O man who judges those who practice such things, and do the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?

ਅਤਏਵ ਹੇ ਮਾਨੁਸ਼਼ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਯਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਗਾਚਾਰਿਣੋ ਦੂਸ਼਼ਯਸਿ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਯਦਿ ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਗਾਚਰਸਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਦਣ੍ਡਾਤ੍ ਪਲਾਯਿਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਸੀਤਿ ਕਿੰ ਬੁਧ੍ਯਸੇ?

4 Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

ਅਪਰੰ ਤਵ ਮਨਸਃ ਪਰਿਵਰ੍ੱਤਨੰ ਕਰ੍ੱਤੁਮ੍ ਇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੋ ਭਵਤਿ ਤੰਨ ਬੁੱਧ੍ਵਾ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਕਿੰ ਤਦੀਯਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਮਾਚਿਰਸਹਿਸ਼਼੍ਣੁਤ੍ਵਨਿਧਿੰ ਤੁੱਛੀਕਰੋਸ਼਼ਿ?

5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,

ਤਥਾ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ੍ਤਃਕਰਣਸ੍ਯ ਕਠੋਰਤ੍ਵਾਤ੍ ਖੇਦਰਾਹਿਤ੍ਯਾੱਚੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਨ੍ਯਾੱਯਵਿਚਾਰਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨਸ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਸ੍ਯ ਚ ਦਿਨੰ ਯਾਵਤ੍ ਕਿੰ ਸ੍ਵਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਕੋਪੰ ਸਞ੍ਚਿਨੋਸ਼਼ਿ?

6 who “will pay back to everyone according to their works:”

ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸ ਏਕੈਕਮਨੁਜਾਯ ਤਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਨੁਸਾਰੇਣ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਫਲੰ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ;

7 to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, consummate (aiōnios g166) life;

ਵਸ੍ਤੁਤਸ੍ਤੁ ਯੇ ਜਨਾ ਧੈਰ੍ੱਯੰ ਧ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ਤੋ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਸਤ੍ਕਾਰੋ(ਅ)ਮਰਤ੍ਵਞ੍ਚੈਤਾਨਿ ਮ੍ਰੁʼਗਯਨ੍ਤੇ ਤੇਭ੍ਯੋ(ਅ)ਨਨ੍ਤਾਯੁ ਰ੍ਦਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ| (aiōnios g166)

8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation,

ਅਪਰੰ ਯੇ ਜਨਾਃ ਸਤ੍ਯਧਰ੍ੰਮਮ੍ ਅਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੀਤ੍ਵਾ ਵਿਪਰੀਤਧਰ੍ੰਮਮ੍ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਰੋਧਿਜਨਾਃ ਕੋਪੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਞ੍ਚ ਭੋਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤੇ|

9 oppression, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

ਆ ਯਿਹੂਦਿਨੋ(ਅ)ਨ੍ਯਦੇਸ਼ਿਨਃ ਪਰ੍ੱਯਨ੍ਤੰ ਯਾਵਨ੍ਤਃ ਕੁਕਰ੍ੰਮਕਾਰਿਣਃ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਿਨਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਦੁਃਖੰ ਯਾਤਨਾਞ੍ਚ ਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ;

10 But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਆ ਯਿਹੂਦਿਨੋ ਭਿੰਨਦੇਸ਼ਿਪਰ੍ੱਯਨ੍ਤਾ ਯਾਵਨ੍ਤਃ ਸਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮਕਾਰਿਣੋ ਲੋਕਾਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਸਤ੍ਕਾਰਃ ਸ਼ਾਨ੍ਤਿਸ਼੍ਚ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ|

11 For there is no partiality with God.

ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ਪਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਪਾਤੋ ਨਾਸ੍ਤਿ|

12 For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

ਅਲਬ੍ਧਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੈ ਰ੍ਯੈਃ ਪਾਪਾਨਿ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਾਨਿ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾਲਬ੍ਧਤ੍ਵਾਨੁਰੂਪਸ੍ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ; ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਲਬ੍ਧਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾ ਯੇ ਪਾਪਾਨ੍ਯਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਨੁਸਾਰਾਦੇਵ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|

13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified

ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼੍ਰੋਤਾਰ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਪਾਪਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤੀਤਿ ਨਹਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਚਾਰਿਣ ਏਵ ਸਪੁਣ੍ਯਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ|

14 (for when Gentiles who do not have the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law to themselves,

ਯਤੋ (ਅ)ਲਬ੍ਧਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾ ਭਿੰਨਦੇਸ਼ੀਯਲੋਕਾ ਯਦਿ ਸ੍ਵਭਾਵਤੋ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਨੁਰੂਪਾਨ੍ ਆਚਾਰਾਨ੍ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹ੍ਯਲਬ੍ਧਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾਃ ਸਨ੍ਤੋ(ਅ)ਪਿ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਵੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਮਿਵ ਸ੍ਵਯਮੇਵ ਭਵਨ੍ਤਿ|

15 in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying with them, and their thoughts among themselves accusing or else excusing them)

ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਮਨਸਿ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੇ ਸਤਿ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਵਿਤਰ੍ਕੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਚ ਕਦਾ ਤਾਨ੍ ਦੋਸ਼਼ਿਣਃ ਕਦਾ ਵਾ ਨਿਰ੍ਦੋਸ਼਼ਾਨ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਤ੍ਸੁ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ੍ਤਰ੍ਲਿਖਿਤਸ੍ਯ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਸ੍ਵਯਮੇਵ ਦਦਤਿ|

16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my Good News, by Jesus Christ.

ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਦਿਨੇ ਮਯਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਤਸ੍ਯ ਸੁਸੰਵਾਦਸ੍ਯਾਨੁਸਾਰਾਦ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਨ ਮਾਨੁਸ਼਼ਾਣਾਮ੍ ਅਨ੍ਤਃਕਰਣਾਨਾਂ ਗੂਢਾਭਿਪ੍ਰਾਯਾਨ੍ ਧ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ ਵਿਚਾਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਿਨੇ ਤਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|

17 Indeed you bear the name of a Jew, rest on the law, glory in God,

ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਯਿਹੂਦੀਤਿ ਵਿਖ੍ਯਾਤੋ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥੋਪਰਿ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੰ ਕਰੋਸ਼਼ਿ,

18 know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,

ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਮੁੱਦਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸ਼੍ਲਾਘਸੇ, ਤਥਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਯਾ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਤੋ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਭਿਮਤੰ ਜਾਨਾਸਿ, ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਸਾਂ ਕਥਾਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੰ ਵਿਵਿੰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇ,

19 and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,

ਅਪਰੰ ਜ੍ਞਾਨਸ੍ਯ ਸਤ੍ਯਤਾਯਾਸ਼੍ਚਾਕਰਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੰ ਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੰ ਮਮ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਤ ਅਤੋ (ਅ)ਨ੍ਧਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਮਾਰ੍ਗਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯਿਤਾ

20 a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babies, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.

ਤਿਮਿਰਸ੍ਥਿਤਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਦੀਪ੍ਤਿਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੋ(ਅ)ਜ੍ਞਾਨਲੋਕੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਜ੍ਞਾਨਦਾਤਾ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ੂਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯਿਤਾਹਮੇਵੇਤਿ ਮਨ੍ਯਸੇ|

21 You therefore who teach another, do not you teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?

ਪਰਾਨ੍ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯਨ੍ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯਸਿ? ਵਸ੍ਤੁਤਸ਼੍ਚੌਰ੍ੱਯਨਿਸ਼਼ੇਧਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰਯਨ੍ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਕਿੰ ਸ੍ਵਯਮੇਵ ਚੋਰਯਸਿ?

22 You who say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

ਤਥਾ ਪਰਦਾਰਗਮਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਸ਼਼ੇਧਨ੍ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਕਿੰ ਪਰਦਾਰਾਨ੍ ਗੱਛਸਿ? ਤਥਾ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਮਾਦ੍ਵੇਸ਼਼ੀ ਸਨ੍ ਕਿੰ ਮਨ੍ਦਿਰਸ੍ਯ ਦ੍ਰਵ੍ਯਾਣਿ ਹਰਸਿ?

23 You who glory in the law, do you dishonor God by disobeying the law?

ਯਸ੍ਤ੍ਵੰ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਲਾਘਸੇ ਸ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਕਿੰ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਮ੍ ਅਵਮਤ੍ਯ ਨੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਸੰਮਨ੍ਯਸੇ?

24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.

ਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੇ ਯਥਾ ਲਿਖਤਿ "ਭਿੰਨਦੇਸ਼ਿਨਾਂ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਦੋਸ਼਼ਾਦ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਨਾਮ੍ਨੋ ਨਿਨ੍ਦਾ ਭਵਤਿ| "

25 For circumcision indeed profits, if you are a doer of the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

ਯਦਿ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਂ ਪਾਲਯਸਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤਵ ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦਕ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਸਫਲਾ ਭਵਤਿ; ਯਤਿ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਂ ਲਙ੍ਘਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤਵ ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦੋ(ਅ)ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|

26 If therefore the uncircumcised keep the ordinances of the law, will not his uncircumcision be accounted as circumcision?

ਯਤੋ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾਦਿਸ਼਼੍ਟਧਰ੍ੰਮਕਰ੍ੰਮਾਚਾਰੀ ਪੁਮਾਨ੍ ਅਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦੀ ਸੰਨਪਿ ਕਿੰ ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦਿਨਾਂ ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਨ ਗਣਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ?

27 Will not those who are physically uncircumcised, but fulfill the law, judge you, who with the letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the law?

ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਲਬ੍ਧਸ਼ਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਸ਼੍ਛਿੰਨਤ੍ਵਕ੍ ਚ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਯਦਿ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਲਙ੍ਘਨੰ ਕਰੋਸ਼਼ਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਪਾਲਕਾਃ ਸ੍ਵਾਭਾਵਿਕਾੱਛਿੰਨਤ੍ਵਚੋ ਲੋਕਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਦੂਸ਼਼ਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ?

28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh;

ਤਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ ਯੋ ਬਾਹ੍ਯੇ ਯਿਹੂਦੀ ਸ ਯਿਹੂਦੀ ਨਹਿ ਤਥਾਙ੍ਗਸ੍ਯ ਯਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦਃ ਸ ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦੋ ਨਹਿ;

29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੋ ਜਨ ਆਨ੍ਤਰਿਕੋ ਯਿਹੂਦੀ ਸ ਏਵ ਯਿਹੂਦੀ ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਕੇਵਲਲਿਖਿਤਯਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਯਾ ਨ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਮਾਨਸਿਕੋ ਯਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦੋ ਯਸ੍ਯ ਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਾਦ੍ ਭਵਤਿ ਸ ਏਵ ਤ੍ਵਕ੍ਛੇਦਃ|
