Psalms 149

1 Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.

主をほめたたえよ。主にむかって新しい歌をうたえ。聖徒のつどいで、主の誉を歌え。

2 Let Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

イスラエルにその造り主を喜ばせ、シオンの子らにその王を喜ばせよ。

3 Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!

彼らに踊りをもって主のみ名をほめたたえさせ、鼓と琴とをもって主をほめ歌わせよ。

4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.

主はおのが民を喜び、へりくだる者を勝利をもって飾られるからである。

5 Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

聖徒を栄光によって喜ばせ、その床の上で喜び歌わせよ。

6 May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand,

そののどには神をあがめる歌があり、その手にはもろ刃のつるぎがある。

7 to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

これはもろもろの国にあだを返し、もろもろの民を懲らし、

8 to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

彼らの王たちを鎖で縛り、彼らの貴人たちを鉄のかせで縛りつけ、

9 to execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Praise the LORD!

しるされたさばきを彼らに行うためである。これはそのすべての聖徒に与えられる誉である。主をほめたたえよ。
