Matthew 26
1 When Jesus had finished all these words, he said to his disciples,
యీశురేతాన్ ప్రస్తావాన్ సమాప్య శిష్యానూచే,
2 “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”
యుష్మాభి ర్జ్ఞాతం దినద్వయాత్ పరం నిస్తారమహ ఉపస్థాస్యతి, తత్ర మనుజసుతః క్రుశేన హన్తుం పరకరేషు సమర్పిష్యతే|
3 Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.
తతః పరం ప్రధానయాజకాధ్యాపకప్రాఞ్చః కియఫానామ్నో మహాయాజకస్యాట్టాలికాయాం మిలిత్వా
4 They took counsel together that they might take Jesus by deceit and kill him.
కేనోపాయేన యీశుం ధృత్వా హన్తుం శక్నుయురితి మన్త్రయాఞ్చక్రుః|
5 But they said, “Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people.”
కిన్తు తైరుక్తం మహకాలే న ధర్త్తవ్యః, ధృతే ప్రజానాం కలహేన భవితుం శక్యతే|
6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
తతో బైథనియాపురే శిమోనాఖ్యస్య కుష్ఠినో వేశ్మని యీశౌ తిష్ఠతి
7 a woman came to him having an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table.
కాచన యోషా శ్వేతోపలభాజనేన మహార్ఘ్యం సుగన్ధి తైలమానీయ భోజనాయోపవిశతస్తస్య శిరోభ్యషేచత్|
8 But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?
కిన్తు తదాలోక్య తచ్ఛిష్యైః కుపితైరుక్తం, కుత ఇత్థమపవ్యయతే?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”
చేదిదం వ్యక్రేష్యత, తర్హి భూరిమూల్యం ప్రాప్య దరిద్రేభ్యో వ్యతారిష్యత|
10 However, knowing this, Jesus said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? She has done a good work for me.
యీశునా తదవగత్య తే సముదితాః, యోషామేనాం కుతో దుఃఖినీం కురుథ, సా మాం ప్రతి సాధు కర్మ్మాకార్షీత్|
11 For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.
యుష్మాకమం సమీపే దరిద్రాః సతతమేవాసతే, కిన్తు యుష్మాకమన్తికేహం నాసే సతతం|
12 For in pouring this ointment on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
సా మమ కాయోపరి సుగన్ధితైలం సిక్త్వా మమ శ్మశానదానకర్మ్మాకార్షీత్|
13 Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”
అతోహం యుష్మాన్ తథ్యం వదామి సర్వ్వస్మిన్ జగతి యత్ర యత్రైష సుసమాచారః ప్రచారిష్యతే, తత్ర తత్రైతస్యా నార్య్యాః స్మరణార్థమ్ కర్మ్మేదం ప్రచారిష్యతే|
14 Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
తతో ద్వాదశశిష్యాణామ్ ఈష్కరియోతీయయిహూదానామక ఏకః శిష్యః ప్రధానయాజకానామన్తికం గత్వా కథితవాన్,
15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him to you?” So they weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.
యది యుష్మాకం కరేషు యీశుం సమర్పయామి, తర్హి కిం దాస్యథ? తదానీం తే తస్మై త్రింశన్ముద్రా దాతుం స్థిరీకృతవన్తః|
16 From that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
స తదారభ్య తం పరకరేషు సమర్పయితుం సుయోగం చేష్టితవాన్|
17 Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
అనన్తరం కిణ్వశూన్యపూపపర్వ్వణః ప్రథమేహ్ని శిష్యా యీశుమ్ ఉపగత్య పప్రచ్ఛుః భవత్కృతే కుత్ర వయం నిస్తారమహభోజ్యమ్ ఆయోజయిష్యామః? భవతః కేచ్ఛా?
18 He said, “Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.”’”
తదా స గదితవాన్, మధ్యేనగరమముకపుంసః సమీపం వ్రజిత్వా వదత, గురు ర్గదితవాన్, మత్కాలః సవిధః, సహ శిష్యైస్త్వదాలయే నిస్తారమహభోజ్యం భోక్ష్యే|
19 The disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.
తదా శిష్యా యీశోస్తాదృశనిదేశానురూపకర్మ్మ విధాయ తత్ర నిస్తారమహభోజ్యమాసాదయామాసుః|
20 Now when evening had come, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.
తతః సన్ధ్యాయాం సత్యాం ద్వాదశభిః శిష్యైః సాకం స న్యవిశత్|
21 As they were eating, he said, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
అపరం భుఞ్జాన ఉక్తవాన్ యుష్మాన్ తథ్యం వదామి, యుష్మాకమేకో మాం పరకరేషు సమర్పయిష్యతి|
22 They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, “It is not me, is it, Lord?”
తదా తేఽతీవ దుఃఖితా ఏకైకశో వక్తుమారేభిరే, హే ప్రభో, స కిమహం?
23 He answered, “He who dipped his hand with me in the dish will betray me.
తతః స జగాద, మయా సాకం యో జనో భోజనపాత్రే కరం సంక్షిపతి, స ఏవ మాం పరకరేషు సమర్పయిష్యతి|
24 The Son of Man goes even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”
మనుజసుతమధి యాదృశం లిఖితమాస్తే, తదనురూపా తద్గతి ర్భవిష్యతి; కిన్తు యేన పుంసా స పరకరేషు సమర్పయిష్యతే, హా హా చేత్ స నాజనిష్యత, తదా తస్య క్షేమమభవిష్యత్|
25 Judas, who betrayed him, answered, “It is not me, is it, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You said it.”
తదా యిహూదానామా యో జనస్తం పరకరేషు సమర్పయిష్యతి, స ఉక్తవాన్, హే గురో, స కిమహం? తతః స ప్రత్యుక్తవాన్, త్వయా సత్యం గదితమ్|
26 As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
అనన్తరం తేషామశనకాలే యీశుః పూపమాదాయేశ్వరీయగుణాననూద్య భంక్త్వా శిష్యేభ్యః ప్రదాయ జగాద, మద్వపుఃస్వరూపమిమం గృహీత్వా ఖాదత|
27 He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it,
పశ్చాత్ స కంసం గృహ్లన్ ఈశ్వరీయగుణాననూద్య తేభ్యః ప్రదాయ కథితవాన్, సర్వ్వై ర్యుష్మాభిరనేన పాతవ్యం,
28 for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
యస్మాదనేకేషాం పాపమర్షణాయ పాతితం యన్మన్నూత్ననియమరూపశోణితం తదేతత్|
29 But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”
అపరమహం నూత్నగోస్తనీరసం న పాస్యామి, తావత్ గోస్తనీఫలరసం పునః కదాపి న పాస్యామి|
30 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
పశ్చాత్ తే గీతమేకం సంగీయ జైతునాఖ్యగిరిం గతవన్తః|
31 Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
తదానీం యీశుస్తానవోచత్, అస్యాం రజన్యామహం యుష్మాకం సర్వ్వేషాం విఘ్నరూపో భవిష్యామి, యతో లిఖితమాస్తే, "మేషాణాం రక్షకో యస్తం ప్రహరిష్యామ్యహం తతః| మేషాణాం నివహో నూనం ప్రవికీర్ణో భవిష్యతి"||
32 But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”
కిన్తు శ్మశానాత్ సముత్థాయ యుష్మాకమగ్రేఽహం గాలీలం గమిష్యామి|
33 But Peter answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.”
పితరస్తం ప్రోవాచ, భవాంశ్చేత్ సర్వ్వేషాం విఘ్నరూపో భవతి, తథాపి మమ న భవిష్యతి|
34 Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”
తతో యీశునా స ఉక్తః, తుభ్యమహం తథ్యం కథయామి, యామిన్యామస్యాం చరణాయుధస్య రవాత్ పూర్వ్వం త్వం మాం త్రి ర్నాఙ్గీకరిష్యసి|
35 Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you.” All of the disciples also said likewise.
తతః పితర ఉదితవాన్, యద్యపి త్వయా సమం మర్త్తవ్యం, తథాపి కదాపి త్వాం న నాఙ్గీకరిష్యామి; తథైవ సర్వ్వే శిష్యాశ్చోచుః|
36 Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.”
అనన్తరం యీశుః శిష్యైః సాకం గేత్శిమానీనామకం స్థానం ప్రస్థాయ తేభ్యః కథితవాన్, అదః స్థానం గత్వా యావదహం ప్రార్థయిష్యే తావద్ యూయమత్రోపవిశత|
37 He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and severely troubled.
పశ్చాత్ స పితరం సివదియసుతౌ చ సఙ్గినః కృత్వా గతవాన్, శోకాకులోఽతీవ వ్యథితశ్చ బభూవ|
38 Then Jesus said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me.”
తానవాదీచ్చ మృతియాతనేవ మత్ప్రాణానాం యాతనా జాయతే, యూయమత్ర మయా సార్ద్ధం జాగృత|
39 He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”
తతః స కిఞ్చిద్దూరం గత్వాధోముఖః పతన్ ప్రార్థయాఞ్చక్రే, హే మత్పితర్యది భవితుం శక్నోతి, తర్హి కంసోఽయం మత్తో దూరం యాతు; కిన్తు మదిచ్ఛావత్ న భవతు, త్వదిచ్ఛావద్ భవతు|
40 He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, could not you watch with me for one hour?
తతః స శిష్యానుపేత్య తాన్ నిద్రతో నిరీక్ష్య పితరాయ కథయామాస, యూయం మయా సాకం దణ్డమేకమపి జాగరితుం నాశన్కుత?
41 Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
పరీక్షాయాం న పతితుం జాగృత ప్రార్థయధ్వఞ్చ; ఆత్మా సముద్యతోస్తి, కిన్తు వపు ర్దుర్బ్బలం|
42 Again, a second time he went away and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”
స ద్వితీయవారం ప్రార్థయాఞ్చక్రే, హే మత్తాత, న పీతే యది కంసమిదం మత్తో దూరం యాతుం న శక్నోతి, తర్హి త్వదిచ్ఛావద్ భవతు|
43 He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
స పునరేత్య తాన్ నిద్రతో దదర్శ, యతస్తేషాం నేత్రాణి నిద్రయా పూర్ణాన్యాసన్|
44 He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.
పశ్చాత్ స తాన్ విహాయ వ్రజిత్వా తృతీయవారం పూర్వ్వవత్ కథయన్ ప్రార్థితవాన్|
45 Then he came to his disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
తతః శిష్యానుపాగత్య గదితవాన్, సామ్ప్రతం శయానాః కిం విశ్రామ్యథ? పశ్యత, సమయ ఉపాస్థాత్, మనుజసుతః పాపినాం కరేషు సమర్ప్యతే|
46 Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”
ఉత్తిష్ఠత, వయం యామః, యో మాం పరకరేషు మసర్పయిష్యతి, పశ్యత, స సమీపమాయాతి|
47 While he was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
ఏతత్కథాకథనకాలే ద్వాదశశిష్యాణామేకో యిహూదానామకో ముఖ్యయాజకలోకప్రాచీనైః ప్రహితాన్ అసిధారియష్టిధారిణో మనుజాన్ గృహీత్వా తత్సమీపముపతస్థౌ|
48 Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, “Whoever I kiss, he is the one. Seize him.”
అసౌ పరకరేష్వర్పయితా పూర్వ్వం తాన్ ఇత్థం సఙ్కేతయామాస, యమహం చుమ్బిష్యే, సోఽసౌ మనుజః, సఏవ యుష్మాభి ర్ధార్య్యతాం|
49 Immediately he came to Jesus, and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.
తదా స సపది యీశుముపాగత్య హే గురో, ప్రణమామీత్యుక్త్వా తం చుచుమ్బే|
50 Jesus said to him, “Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
తదా యీశుస్తమువాచ, హే మిత్రం కిమర్థమాగతోసి? తదా తైరాగత్య యీశురాక్రమ్య దఘ్రే|
51 Behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
తతో యీశోః సఙ్గినామేకః కరం ప్రసార్య్య కోషాదసిం బహిష్కృత్య మహాయాజకస్య దాసమేకమాహత్య తస్య కర్ణం చిచ్ఛేద|
52 Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.
తతో యీశుస్తం జగాద, ఖడ్గం స్వస్థానే నిధేహి యతో యే యే జనా అసిం ధారయన్తి, తఏవాసినా వినశ్యన్తి|
53 Or do you think that I could not ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
అపరం పితా యథా మదన్తికం స్వర్గీయదూతానాం ద్వాదశవాహినీతోఽధికం ప్రహిణుయాత్ మయా తముద్దిశ్యేదానీమేవ తథా ప్రార్థయితుం న శక్యతే, త్వయా కిమిత్థం జ్ఞాయతే?
54 How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?”
తథా సతీత్థం ఘటిష్యతే ధర్మ్మపుస్తకస్య యదిదం వాక్యం తత్ కథం సిధ్యేత్?
55 In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me.
తదానీం యీశు ర్జననివహం జగాద, యూయం ఖడ్గయష్టీన్ ఆదాయ మాం కిం చౌరం ధర్త్తుమాయాతాః? అహం ప్రత్యహం యుష్మాభిః సాకముపవిశ్య సముపాదిశం, తదా మాం నాధరత;
56 But all this has happened that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.
కిన్తు భవిష్యద్వాదినాం వాక్యానాం సంసిద్ధయే సర్వ్వమేతదభూత్| తదా సర్వ్వే శిష్యాస్తం విహాయ పలాయన్త|
57 Those who had taken Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.
అనన్తరం తే మనుజా యీశుం ధృత్వా యత్రాధ్యాపకప్రాఞ్చః పరిషదం కుర్వ్వన్త ఉపావిశన్ తత్ర కియఫానామకమహాయాజకస్యాన్తికం నిన్యుః|
58 But Peter followed him from a distance to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.
కిన్తు శేషే కిం భవిష్యతీతి వేత్తుం పితరో దూరే తత్పశ్చాద్ వ్రజిత్వా మహాయాజకస్యాట్టాలికాం ప్రవిశ్య దాసైః సహిత ఉపావిశత్|
59 Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death,
తదానీం ప్రధానయాజకప్రాచీనమన్త్రిణః సర్వ్వే యీశుం హన్తుం మృషాసాక్ష్యమ్ అలిప్సన్త,
60 and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward
కిన్తు న లేభిరే| అనేకేషు మృషాసాక్షిష్వాగతేష్వపి తన్న ప్రాపుః|
61 and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”
శేషే ద్వౌ మృషాసాక్షిణావాగత్య జగదతుః, పుమానయమకథయత్, అహమీశ్వరమన్దిరం భంక్త్వా దినత్రయమధ్యే తన్నిర్మ్మాతుం శక్నోమి|
62 The high priest stood up and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”
తదా మహాయాజక ఉత్థాయ యీశుమ్ అవాదీత్| త్వం కిమపి న ప్రతివదసి? త్వామధి కిమేతే సాక్ష్యం వదన్తి?
63 But Jesus stayed silent. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”
కిన్తు యీశు ర్మౌనీభూయ తస్యౌ| తతో మహాయాజక ఉక్తవాన్, త్వామ్ అమరేశ్వరనామ్నా శపయామి, త్వమీశ్వరస్య పుత్రోఽభిషిక్తో భవసి నవేతి వద|
64 Jesus said to him, “You have said so. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”
యీశుః ప్రత్యవదత్, త్వం సత్యముక్తవాన్; అహం యుష్మాన్ తథ్యం వదామి, ఇతఃపరం మనుజసుతం సర్వ్వశక్తిమతో దక్షిణపార్శ్వే స్థాతుం గగణస్థం జలధరానారుహ్యాయాన్తం వీక్షధ్వే|
65 Then the high priest tore his clothing, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.
తదా మహాయాజకో నిజవసనం ఛిత్త్వా జగాద, ఏష ఈశ్వరం నిన్దితవాన్, అస్మాకమపరసాక్ష్యేణ కిం ప్రయోజనం? పశ్యత, యూయమేవాస్యాస్యాద్ ఈశ్వరనిన్దాం శ్రుతవన్తః,
66 What do you think?” They answered, “He is worthy of death!”
యుష్మాభిః కిం వివిచ్యతే? తే ప్రత్యూచుః, వధార్హోఽయం|
67 Then they spat in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,
తతో లోకైస్తదాస్యే నిష్ఠీవితం కేచిత్ ప్రతలమాహత్య కేచిచ్చ చపేటమాహత్య బభాషిరే,
68 saying, “Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who hit you?”
హే ఖ్రీష్ట త్వాం కశ్చపేటమాహతవాన్? ఇతి గణయిత్వా వదాస్మాన్|
69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the court, and a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Jesus, the Galilean!”
పితరో బహిరఙ్గన ఉపవిశతి, తదానీమేకా దాసీ తముపాగత్య బభాషే, త్వం గాలీలీయయీశోః సహచరఏకః|
70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about.”
కిన్తు స సర్వ్వేషాం సమక్షమ్ అనఙ్గీకృత్యావాదీత్, త్వయా యదుచ్యతే, తదర్థమహం న వేద్మి|
71 When he had gone out onto the porch, someone else saw him and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
తదా తస్మిన్ బహిర్ద్వారం గతే ఽన్యా దాసీ తం నిరీక్ష్య తత్రత్యజనానవదత్, అయమపి నాసరతీయయీశునా సార్ద్ధమ్ ఆసీత్|
72 Again he denied it with an oath, “I do not know the man.”
తతః స శపథేన పునరనఙ్గీకృత్య కథితవాన్, తం నరం న పరిచినోమి|
73 After a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter, “Surely you are also one of them, for your speech makes you known.”
క్షణాత్ పరం తిష్ఠన్తో జనా ఏత్య పితరమ్ అవదన్, త్వమవశ్యం తేషామేక ఇతి త్వదుచ్చారణమేవ ద్యోతయతి|
74 Then he began to curse and to swear, “I do not know the man!” Immediately the rooster crowed.
కిన్తు సోఽభిశప్య కథితవాన్, తం జనం నాహం పరిచినోమి, తదా సపది కుక్కుటో రురావ|
75 Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Then he went out and wept bitterly.
కుక్కుటరవాత్ ప్రాక్ త్వం మాం త్రిరపాహ్నోష్యసే, యైషా వాగ్ యీశునావాది తాం పితరః సంస్మృత్య బహిరిత్వా ఖేదాద్ భృశం చక్రన్ద|
