< Matthew 14 >

1 At that time, Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus,
Na tango wana, sango na tina na Yesu epanzanaki makasi mpe ekomaki kino na matoyi ya Erode, moyangeli ya Galile.
2 and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.”
Alobaki na basali na ye: — Ezali penza Yoane Mobatisi! Asekwi kati na bakufi; yango wana azali na nguya ya kosala bikamwa.
3 For Herod had arrested John, bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife.
Nzokande, Erode amipeselaki mitindo ete bazwa Yoane, bakanga ye minyololo mpe babwaka ye kati na boloko, likolo ya Erodiade, mwasi ya Filipo, ndeko mobali ya Erode;
4 For John said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”
pamba te Yoane azalaki koloba na ye: « Ozali na ndingisa te ya kosangisa na ye nzoto mpo ete azali mwasi na yo te. »
5 When he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
Boye, Erode akomaki koluka nzela ya koboma Yoane, kasi azalaki kobanga bato mpo ete bazalaki kozwa Yoane lokola mosakoli.
6 But when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced among them and pleased Herod.
Nzokande, na mokolo ya kosepela mbotama ya Erode, mwana mwasi ya Erodiade abinaki liboso ya babengami na feti yango mpe asepelisaki Erode makasi.
7 Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she should ask.
Boye, Erode alakaki mwasi yango, na nzela ya ndayi, ete akopesa ye nyonso oyo akosenga.
8 She, being prompted by her mother, said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptizer.”
Lokola mama akotisaki makanisi mabe kati na mwana, mwana mwasi alobaki na Erode: « Pesa ngai awa, na sani, moto ya Yoane Mobatisi. »
9 The king was grieved, but for the sake of his oaths and of those who sat at the table with him, he commanded it to be given,
Tango mokonzi ayokaki eloko oyo mwana mwasi asengaki, ayokaki mawa mingi na motema; kasi mpo na ndayi oyo alapaki mpe mpo na bato oyo abengisaki na feti, apesaki mitindo ete bapesa ye moto yango.
10 and he sent and beheaded John in the prison.
Atindaki moto moko ete akende kokata moto ya Yoane kati na boloko.
11 His head was brought on a platter and given to the young lady; and she brought it to her mother.
Bamemaki, na sani, moto ya Yoane Mobatisi mpe bapesaki yango epai ya mwana mwasi, mpe mwana mwasi amemaki yango epai ya mama na ye.
12 His disciples came, took the body, and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus.
Bayekoli ya Yoane bayaki kozwa nzoto na ye mpe bakundaki yango; sima na yango, bakendeki kopesa sango epai ya Yesu.
13 Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.
Tango Yesu ayokaki sango yango, azwaki bwato mpo na kokende kati na esobe, na esika oyo akozala kaka Ye moko. Wana ebele ya bato bayokaki bongo, babimaki na bamboka na bango mpe balandaki Yesu na makolo.
14 Jesus went out, and he saw a great multitude. He had compassion on them and healed their sick.
Tango Yesu akitaki wuta na bwato mpe amonaki ebele ya bato penza, ayokaki mawa makasi mpo na bango. Boye, abandaki kobikisa bandeko na bango, oyo bazalaki kobela.
15 When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, “This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.”
Na pokwa, bayekoli bapusanaki pene na Yesu mpe balobaki na Ye: — Esika oyo ezali esobe, mpe ngonga epusani makasi! Zongisa bango mpo ete bakende komisombela biloko ya kolia kati na bamboka ya zingazinga.
16 But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
Kasi Yesu alobaki na bango: — Bazali na tina na kokende kuna te! Bopesa bango bino moko biloko ya kolia.
17 They told him, “We only have here five loaves and two fish.”
Bayekoli bazongisaki: — Tozali kaka na mapa mitano mpe bambisi mibale.
18 He said, “Bring them here to me.”
Yesu alobaki: — Boya na yango awa epai na Ngai.
19 He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.
Yesu apesaki mitindo na bato ete bavanda na matiti; azwaki mapa mitano mpe bambisi mibale yango, atombolaki miso na Ye na likolo mpe azongisaki matondi epai ya Nzambe; akataki mapa yango mpe apesaki biteni na yango epai ya bayekoli na Ye mpo ete bakabola yango epai ya bato.
20 They all ate and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces.
Bato nyonso baliaki mpe batondaki. Bongo bayekoli balokotaki biteni oyo etikalaki, mpe biteni yango etondisaki bitunga zomi na mibale.
21 Those who ate were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children.
Bato oyo baliaki bazalaki mibali pene nkoto mitano, longola basi mpe bana.
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
Mbala moko, Yesu atindaki bayekoli na Ye ete bamata na bwato mpe bakende liboso na Ye, na ngambo mosusu ya ebale, wana akozongisa bato.
23 After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone.
Sima na Ye kozongisa bato, amataki na ngomba mpo na kosambela na esika oyo azalaki kaka Ye moko. Kino na pokwa, azalaki wana kaka Ye moko.
24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
Nzokande, kaka na tango yango, wana bwato ekomaki mosika, na molayi ya bametele koleka nkama moko longwa na mokili, mbonge ekomaki koningisa bwato yango makasi, pamba te mopepe ezalaki kobeta na ndenge ya kozongisa bwato na sima.
25 In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.
Wana tongo ekomaki pene ya kotana, Yesu atambolaki likolo ya mayi ya ebale mpo na kolanda bango, mpe alingaki kutu koleka bango.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear.
Tango bayekoli bamonaki Yesu azali kotambola likolo ya mayi ya ebale, somo makasi ekangaki bango mpe bakomaki koloba: — Elima! Elima! Elima! Bagangaki mpo na somo.
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Cheer up! It is I! Do not be afraid.”
Kasi, mbala moko, Yesu alobaki na bango: — Kimia! Kimia! Bobanga te! Ezali nde Ngai!
28 Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.”
Petelo alobaki na Ye: — Nkolo, soki ezali penza Yo, loba na ngai ete naya kokutana na Yo likolo ya mayi.
29 He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.
Yesu alobaki na ye: — Yaka. Mbala moko, Petelo akitaki na bwato mpe atambolaki na likolo ya mayi mpo na kokende kokutana na Yesu.
30 But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
Kasi tango amonaki ndenge mopepe ezali kopepa makasi, akomaki na somo mpe, lokola akomaki kozinda, agangaki: — Nkolo, bikisa ngai!
31 Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Mbala moko, Yesu asembolaki loboko epai na ye, asimbaki ye mpe alobaki na ye: — Moto na kondima moke, mpo na nini otie tembe?
32 When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.
Tango bamataki na bwato, mopepe ekitaki.
33 Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”
Bato oyo bazalaki kati na bwato bagumbamelaki Yesu mpe balobaki: — Ya solo, ozali Mwana na Nzambe!
34 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret.
Sima na bango kokatisa ebale, bakomaki na mabele ya Genezareti.
35 When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region and brought to him all who were sick;
Tango bavandi ya esika wana basosolaki ete ezali Yesu, bapanzaki sango kati na etuka mobimba; mpe bamemelaki Ye babeli nyonso.
36 and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.
Basengaki na Ye ete apesa babeli nzela ya kosimba ata singa ya songe ya elamba na Ye. Mpe bato nyonso oyo balongaki kosimba yango babikaki na bokono na bango.
