Luke 12
1 Meanwhile, when a multitude of many thousands had gathered together, so much so that they trampled on each other, he began to tell his disciples first of all, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
১এর মধ্যে হাজার হাজার লোক সমবেত হয়ে একজন অন্যের উপর পড়তে লাগল, তখন তিনি তাঁর শিষ্যদের বলতে লাগলেন, “তোমরা ফরীশীদের খামির থেকে সাবধান থাক, তা ভণ্ডামি।
2 But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
২কিন্তু কারণ এমন ঢাকা কিছুই নেই, যা প্রকাশ পাবে না এবং এমন গোপন কিছুই নেই, যা জানা যাবে না।
3 Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
৩অতএব তোমরা অন্ধকারে যা কিছু বলেছ, তা আলোতে শোনা যাবে এবং কোনো গোপন জায়গায় কানে কানে যা বলেছ, তা ছাদের উপরে প্রচারিত হবে।
4 “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
৪আর, হে আমার বন্ধুরা, আমি তোমাদের বলছি, যারা শরীর বধ করা ছাড়া আর কিছুই করতে পারে না, তাদের ভয় কর না।
5 But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna (Geenna g1067). Yes, I tell you, fear him.
৫তবে কাকে ভয় করবে, তা বলে দিই, বধ করে নরকে ফেলার যাঁর ক্ষমতা আছে, তাকেই ভয় কর। (Geenna g1067)
6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God.
৬পাঁচটি চড়াই পাখী কি দুই পয়সায় বিক্রি হয় না? আর তাদের মধ্যে একটিও ঈশ্বরের দৃষ্টির আড়ালে থাকে না।
7 But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore do not be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
৭এমনকি, তোমাদের মাথার চুলগুলিও সব গোনা আছে। ভয় কর না, তোমরা অনেক চড়াই পাখীর থেকেও শ্রেষ্ঠ।”
8 “I tell you, everyone who confesses me before men, the Son of Man will also confess before the angels of God;
৮আর আমি তোমাদের বলছি, “যে কেউ লোকদের সামনে আমাকে স্বীকার করে, মনুষ্যপুত্রও ঈশ্বরের দূতদের সামনে তাকে স্বীকার করবেন;
9 but he who denies me in the presence of men will be denied in the presence of God’s angels.
৯কিন্তু যে কেউ মানুষদের সামনে আমাকে অস্বীকার করে, ঈশ্বরের দূতদের সামনে তাকে অস্বীকার করা হবে।
10 Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but those who blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
১০আর যে কেউ মনুষ্যপুত্রের বিরুদ্ধে কোন কথা বলে, সে ক্ষমা পাবে, কিন্তু যে কেউ ঈশ্বরনিন্দা করে, সে ক্ষমা পাবে না।
11 When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you will answer or what you will say;
১১আর লোকে যখন তোমাদের সমাজঘরে এবং কর্তৃপক্ষ ও তত্ত্বাবধায়কের কাছে নিয়ে যাবে, তখন কীভাবে কি উত্তর দেবে, অথবা কি বলবে, সে বিষয়ে চিন্তা করো না,
12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”
১২কারণ কি বলা উচিত, তা পবিত্র আত্মা সেই দিনের তোমাদের শিক্ষা দেবেন।”
13 One of the multitude said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
১৩পরে লোকেদের মধ্য থেকে এক ব্যক্তি তাঁকে বলল, “হে গুরু, আমার ভাইকে বলুন, যেন আমার সঙ্গে পৈতৃক সম্পত্তি ভাগ করে।”
14 But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”
১৪কিন্তু তিনি তাকে বললেন, “তোমাদের উপরে বিচারকর্ত্তা বা বিভাগ কর্তা করে আমাকে কে নিযুক্ত করেছে?”
15 He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life does not consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
১৫পরে তিনি তাদের বললেন, “সাবধান, সমস্ত লোভ থেকে নিজেদের রক্ষা কর, কারণ মানুষের ধন সম্পত্তি অধিক হলেও তা তার জীবন হয় না।”
16 He spoke a parable to them, saying, “The ground of a certain rich man produced abundantly.
১৬আর তিনি তাদের এই গল্প বললেন, “একজন ধনীর জমিতে অনেক শস্য উৎপন্ন হয়েছিল।
17 He reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What will I do, because I do not have room to store my crops?’
১৭তাতে সে, মনে মনে চিন্তা করতে লাগল, কি করি? আমার তো শস্য রাখার জায়গা নেই।”
18 He said, ‘This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
১৮পরে বলল, “আমি এমন করব, আমার গোলাঘরগুলো ভেঙে বড় বড় গোলাঘর তৈরি করব এবং তার মধ্যে আমার সমস্ত শস্য ও আমার অন্য জিনিস রাখব।
19 I will tell my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”’
১৯আর নিজের প্রাণকে বলব, প্রাণ, অনেক বছরের জন্য, তোমার জন্য অনেক জিনিস সঞ্চিত আছে, বিশ্রাম কর, খাও, পান কর ও আনন্দে মেতে থাক।”
20 “But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared—whose will they be?’
২০কিন্তু ঈশ্বর তাকে বললেন, “হে নির্বোধ, আজ রাতেই তোমার প্রাণ তোমার কাছ থেকে নিয়ে নেওয়া হবে, তবে তুমি এই যে আয়োজন করলে, এসব কার হবে?
21 So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
২১যে কেউ নিজের জন্য ধন সঞ্চয় করে সে ঈশ্বরের কাছে ধনবান নয়, তার অবস্থা এমনই হয়।”
22 He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.
২২পরে তিনি তাঁর শিষ্যদের বললেন, “এই জন্য আমি তোমাদের বলছি, কি খাবার খাব বলে প্রাণের বিষয়ে, কিংবা কি পরব বলে শরীরের বিষয়ে ভেবো না।”
23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
২৩কারণ খাদ্য থেকে প্রাণ ও পোশাকের থেকে শরীর বড় বিষয়।
24 Consider the ravens: they do not sow, they do not reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!
২৪কাকদের বিষয় চিন্তা কর, তারা বোনেও না, কাটেও না, তাদের ভান্ডারও নেই, গোলাঘরও নেই, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর তাদেরও খাবার দিয়ে থাকেন। আর পাখিদের থেকেও তোমরা কত বেশি শ্রেষ্ঠ!
25 Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?
২৫আর তোমাদের মধ্যে কে চিন্তা করে নিজের বয়স এক হাত বড় করতে পারে?
26 If then you are not able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?
২৬অতএব তোমরা এত ছোট কাজও যদি করতে না পার, তবে অন্য অন্য বিষয়ে কেন চিন্তিত হও?
27 Consider the lilies, how they grow. They do not toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
২৭লিলি ফুলের বিষয়ে চিন্তা কর, সেগুলি কেমন বাড়ে, সেগুলি কোন পরিশ্রম করে না, সুতোও কাটে না, কিন্তু আমি তোমাদেরকে বলছি, শলোমনও তাঁর সমস্ত ঐশ্বর্য্যও এদের একটির মতোও নিজেকে সাজাতে পারেননি।
28 But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?
২৮ভাল, মাঠের যে ঘাস আজ আছে তা কাল আগুনে ফেলে দেওয়া হবে, তা যদি ঈশ্বর এমন সুন্দর করে সাজিয়েছেন, তবে হে অল্প বিশ্বাসীরা, তোমাদের কত বেশি করে নিশ্চয় সাজাবেন!
29 “Do not seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.
২৯আর, কি খাবে, কি পান করবে, এ বিষয়ে তোমরা ভেবো না এবং চিন্তা কর না,
30 For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.
৩০কারণ জগতের অইহূদিরা এসব জিনিস পাওয়ার জন্য ব্যস্ত হয়, কিন্তু তোমাদের পিতা ঈশ্বর জানেন যে, এই সমস্ত জিনিস তোমাদের প্রয়োজন আছে।
31 But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.
৩১তোমরা বরং তার রাজ্যর বিষয়ে চিন্তিত হও, তাহলে এই সব তোমাদের দেওয়া হবে।
32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
৩২হে ছোট্ট মেষপাল, ভয় করো না, কারণ তোমাদের সেই রাজ্য দিতে তোমাদের পিতা ঈশ্বর পরিকল্পনা করেছেন।
33 Sell what you have and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
৩৩তোমাদের যা আছে, বিক্রি করে দান কর। নিজেদের জন্য এমন থলি তৈরি কর, যা কখনো পুরনো হবে না, স্বর্গে এমন ধন সঞ্চয় কর যা কখনো শেষ হবে না, যেখানে চোর আসে না,
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
৩৪এবং পোকা নষ্ট করে না, কারণ যেখানে তোমার ধন, সেখানে তোমার মনও থাকবে।
35 “Let your waist be dressed and your lamps burning.
৩৫তোমাদের কোমর বেঁধে রাখ ও প্রদীপ জ্বেলে রাখ।
36 Be like men watching for their lord when he returns from the wedding feast, that when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.
৩৬তোমরা এমন লোকের মতো হও, যারা তাদের প্রভুর অপেক্ষায় থাকে যে, তিনি বিয়ের ভোজ থেকে কখন ফিরে আসবেন, যেন তিনি এসে দরজায় আঘাত করলে তারা তখনই তাঁর জন্য দরজা খুলে দিতে পারে।
37 Blessed are those servants whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you that he will dress himself, make them recline, and will come and serve them.
৩৭যাদেরকে প্রভু এসে জেগে থাকতে দেখবেন, সেই দাসেরা ধন্য। আমি তোমাদেরকে সত্য বলছি, তিনি কোমর বেঁধে তাদেরকে খেতে বসাবেন এবং কাছে এসে তাদের সেবা করবেন।
38 They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch and finds them so.
৩৮যদি মাঝ রাতে কিংবা যদি শেষ রাতে এসে প্রভু তেমনই দেখেন, তবে দাসেরা ধন্য!
39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
৩৯কিন্তু এটা জেনে রাখো চোর কোন মুহূর্তে আসবে, তা যদি বাড়ির মালিক জানত, তবে সে জেগে থাকত, নিজের বাড়িতে সিঁধ কাটতে দিত না।
40 Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you do not expect him.”
৪০তোমরাও প্রস্তুত থাক, কারণ যে দিন তোমরা মনে করবে তিনি আসবেন না, সেই দিনই মনুষ্যপুত্র আসবেন।
41 Peter said to him, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everybody?”
৪১তখন পিতর বললেন, “প্রভু, আপনি কি আমাদের, না সবাইকে এই গল্প বলছেন?”
42 The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?
৪২প্রভু বললেন, “সেই বিশ্বস্ত ও বুদ্ধিমান গৃহকর্তা কে, যাকে তার প্রভু তাঁর অন্য দাসদের উপরে নিযুক্ত করবেন, যেন সে তাদের উপযুক্ত দিনের খাবারের নিরূপিত অংশ দেয়?”
43 Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.
৪৩ধন্য সেই দাস, যাকে তার প্রভু এসে তেমন করতে দেখবেন।
44 Truly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.
৪৪আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, তিনি তাকে তাঁর সব কিছুর উপরে নিযুক্ত করবেন।
45 But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My lord delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and to be drunken,
৪৫কিন্তু সেই দাস যদি মনে মনে বলে, আমার প্রভুর আসতে দেরি হবে এবং সে দাস দাসীদেরকে মারধর করে, ভোজন ও পান করতে এবং মাতাল হতে আরম্ভ করে,
46 then the lord of that servant will come in a day when he is not expecting him and in an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in two, and place his portion with the unfaithful.
৪৬তবে যে দিন সে অপেক্ষা করবে না এবং যে মুহূর্তের আশা সে করবে না, সেই দিন ও সেই মুহূর্তে সেই দাসের প্রভু আসবেন, আর তাকে দুই খন্ড করে ভণ্ডদের মধ্যে তার স্থান ঠিক করবেন।
47 That servant who knew his lord’s will, and did not prepare nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes,
৪৭আর সেই দাস, যে তার প্রভুর ইচ্ছা জেনেও তৈরি হয়নি, ও তাঁর ইচ্ছা মতো কাজ করে নি, সে অনেক শাস্তি পাবে।
48 but he who did not know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
৪৮কিন্তু যে না জেনে শাস্তির কাজ করেছে, সে অল্প শাস্তি পাবে। আর যে কোন ব্যক্তিকে বেশি দেওয়া হয়েছে, তার কাছে বেশি দাবী করা হবে এবং লোকে যার কাছে বেশি রেখেছে, তার কাছে বেশি চাইবে।
49 “I came to throw fire on the earth. I wish it were already kindled.
৪৯আমি পৃথিবীতে আগুন নিক্ষেপ করতে এসেছি, আর এখন যদি তা প্রজ্বলিত হয়ে থাকে, তবে আর কি চাই?
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!
৫০কিন্তু আমাকে এক বাপ্তিষ্মের বাপ্তিষ্ম নিতে হবে, আর তা যতক্ষণ সিদ্ধ না হয়, ততক্ষণ আমি কতই না হয়রান হচ্ছি।
51 Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.
৫১তোমরা কি মনে করছ, আমি পৃথিবীতে শান্তি দিতে এসেছি? তোমাদেরকে বলছি, তা নয়, বরং বিভেদ।
52 For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
৫২কারণ এখন থেকে এক বাড়িতে পাঁচ জন আলাদা হবে, তিনজন দুইজনের বিরুদ্ধে ও দুই জন তিন জনের বিরুদ্ধে,
53 They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
৫৩বাবা ছেলের বিরুদ্ধে এবং ছেলে বাবার বিরুদ্ধে, মায়ের সাথে মেয়ের এবং মেয়ের সাথে মায়ের, শাশুড়ীর সাথে বৌমার এবং বৌয়ের সাথে শাশুড়ির বিচ্ছেদ সৃষ্টি করতে এসেছি।
54 He said to the multitudes also, “When you see a cloud rising from the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it happens.
৫৪আর তিনি লোকদের বললেন, তোমরা যখন পশ্চিমদিকে মেঘ উঠতে দেখ, তখন বল যে বৃষ্টি আসছে, আর তেমনই ঘটে।
55 When a south wind blows, you say, ‘There will be a scorching heat,’ and it happens.
৫৫আর যখন দক্ষিণ বাতাস বইতে দেখ, তখন বল আজ খুব গরম পড়বে এবং তাই ঘটে।
56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that you do not interpret this time?
৫৬ভণ্ডরা, তোমরা পৃথিবীর ও আকাশের ভাব দেখে বিচার করতে পার, কিন্তু এই বর্তমান দিনের অবস্থা বুঝতে পার না, এ কেমন?
57 “Why do not you judge for yourselves what is right?
৫৭আর সত্য কি, তা নিজেরাই কেন বিচার কর না?
58 For when you are going with your adversary before the magistrate, try diligently on the way to be released from him, lest perhaps he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.
৫৮যখন বিপক্ষের সঙ্গে বিচারকের কাছে যাও, রাস্তায় তার সঙ্গে মিটমাট করে নাও, না হলে যদি সে তোমাকে বিচারকের কাছে টেনে নিয়ে যায়, আর বিচারক তোমাকে সৈন্যদের হাতে সমর্পণ করবে এবং সৈন্য তোমাকে জেলখানায় নিয়ে যাবে।
59 I tell you, you will by no means get out of there until you have paid the very last penny.”
৫৯আমি তোমাকে বলছি, “যে পর্যন্ত না তুমি শেষ পয়সাটা শোধ করবে, সেই পর্যন্ত তুমি কোন মতেই সেখান থেকে বের হয়ে আসতে পারবে না।”
