Acts 3
1 Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
Pedro y Juan subían juntos al templo a la hora de la oración, es decir, la de nona.
2 A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple.
Y un hombre, cojo desde el vientre de su madre, era traído; al cual ponían cada día a la puerta del templo, que se dice la Hermosa, para que pidiese limosna de los que entraban en el templo.
3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.
Este como vio a Pedro y a Juan que comenzaban a entrar en el templo, les pedía una limosna.
4 Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”
Pedro pues con Juan poniendo los ojos en él, dijo: Mira a nosotros.
5 He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.
Entonces él estuvo atento a ellos, esperando recibir de ellos algo.
6 But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
Y Pedro dijo: Ni tengo plata ni oro; mas lo que tengo, eso te doy: en el nombre de Jesu Cristo, el Nazareno, levántate, y anda.
7 He took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.
Y tomándole por la mano derecha, le levantó; y luego fueron afirmados sus pies y tobillos.
8 Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.
Y saltando, se puso en pie, y anduvo, y entró con ellos en el templo, andando y saltando, y alabando a Dios.
9 All the people saw him walking and praising God.
Y todo el pueblo le vio andando, y alabando a Dios.
10 They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Y le conocían, que él era el que se sentaba a pedir la limosna a la puerta del templo, la Hermosa; y fueron llenos de miedo y de espanto de lo que le había acontecido.
11 As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
Y teniendo a Pedro y a Juan el cojo que había sido sanado, todo el pueblo concurrió a ellos al pórtico que se llama de Salomón atónitos.
12 When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?
Lo cual viendo Pedro, respondió al pueblo: Varones Israelitas, ¿por qué os maravilláis de esto? ¿o por qué ponéis los ojos en nosotros como si por nuestro poder o piedad hubiésemos hecho andar a éste?
13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.
El Dios de Abraham, y de Isaac, y de Jacob, el Dios de nuestros padres, ha glorificado a su Hijo Jesús, al cual vosotros entregasteis, y negasteis delante de Pilato, juzgando él que había de ser suelto.
14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
Mas vosotros al Santo y al Justo negasteis, y pedisteis que se os diese un hombre homicida;
15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.
Y matasteis al Autor de la vida, al cual Dios ha resucitado de los muertos, de lo cual nosotros somos testigos.
16 By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
Y su nombre, por la fe en su nombre ha confirmado a éste que vosotros veis y conocéis; y la fe que por él es, ha dado a éste esta perfecta sanidad en presencia de todos vosotros.
17 “Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
Mas ahora, hermanos, yo sé que por ignorancia habéis hecho aquello, como también vuestros príncipes.
18 But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.
Empero Dios lo que había antes anunciado por boca de todos sus profetas, que su Cristo había de padecer, así lo ha cumplido.
19 “Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,
Arrepentíos, pues, y convertíos, para que vuestros pecados sean raídos, cuando los tiempos del refrigerio vinieren de la presencia del Señor;
20 and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before,
Y enviará a Jesu Cristo, que os ha sido antes anunciado.
21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke from the age (aiōn g165) by the mouth of his holy prophets.
Al cual cierto es menester que el cielo reciba hasta los tiempos de la restauración de todas las cosas: de que habló Dios por boca de todos sus santos profetas que han sido desde el principio de los siglos. (aiōn g165)
22 For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.
Porque Moisés a la verdad dijo a los padres: El Señor vuestro Dios os levantará un profeta de vuestros hermanos, como yo: a él oiréis en todas las cosas que os hablare.
23 It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
Y acontecerá, que toda alma que no oyere a aquel profeta, será exterminada de entre el pueblo.
24 Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, also told of these days.
Y todos los profetas desde Samuel, y en adelante, todos los que han hablado, han prenunciado estos días.
25 You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’
Vosotros sois los hijos de los profetas, y del concierto que Dios concertó con nuestros padres, diciendo a Abraham: Y en tu simiente serán benditas todas las familias de la tierra.
26 God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”
A vosotros primeramente, Dios, habiendo levantado a su Hijo Jesús, le envió para que os bendijese, convirtiéndoos cada uno de su maldad.
