2 Timothy 3
1 But know this: that in the last days, grievous times will come.
Sabe, porém, isto, que nos últimos dias sobrevirão tempos trabalhosos.
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Porque haverá homens amantes de si mesmos, avarentos, presunçosos, soberbos, blasfemos, desobedientes a pais e mães, ingratos, profanos,
3 without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good,
Sem afeto natural, irreconciliáveis, caluniadores, incontinentes, cruéis, sem amor para com os bons,
4 traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
Traidores, temerários, orgulhosos, mais amantes dos deleites do que amantes de Deus,
5 holding a form of godliness but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.
Tendo aparência de piedade, mas negando a eficácia dela. destes afasta-te.
6 For some of these are people who creep into houses and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
Porque deste número são os que entram pelas casas, e levam cativas mulherinhas carregadas de pecados, levadas de várias concupiscências;
7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Que sempre aprendem, e nunca podem chegar ao conhecimento da verdade.
8 Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind, who concerning the faith are rejected.
E como Janes e Jambres resistiram a Moisés, assim também estes resistem à verdade, homens corruptos de entendimento e reprobos enquanto à fé
9 But they will proceed no further. For their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs also came to be.
Porém não irão mais avante; porque a todos será manifesto o seu desvario, como também o foi o daqueles.
10 But you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,
Tu, porém, tens seguido a minha doutrina, modo de viver, intenção, fé, longanimidade, caridade, paciência,
11 persecutions, and sufferings—those things that happened to me at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. I endured those persecutions. The Lord delivered me out of them all.
Perseguições, aflições, tais quais me aconteceram em Antioquia, em Icônio, e em Lystra: quantas perseguições sofri, e o Senhor de todas me livrou;
12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
E também todos os que piamente querem viver em Cristo Jesus padecerão perseguições.
13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
Porém os homens maus e enganadores irão de mal para pior, enganando e sendo enganados.
14 But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.
Tu, porém, fica nas coisas que aprendeste, e de que foste inteirado, sabendo de quem as tens aprendido;
15 From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
E que desde a tua meninice soubeste as sagradas letras, as quais podem fazer-te sábio para a salvação, pela fé que há em Cristo Jesus.
16 Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness,
Toda a escritura divinamente inspirada é proveitosa para ensinar, para redarguir, para corrigir, para instruir em justiça;
17 that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Para que o homem de Deus seja perfeito e perfeitamente instruído para toda a boa obra.
