< 2 Corinthians 1 >

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the assembly of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:
Pamhnama ngjakhlüa, Jesuh Khritawa ngsä, kei Pawluh la mi na Timoti naw, Korintuh khawa awmkia Pamhnama sangcim la, Akaijah khawa awmki hea Pamhnama khyang ngcim hea veia:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mi Pa Pamhnam la Bawipa Jesuh Khritaw üngka bäkhäknak la dim’yenak nami veia ve se.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
Mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa Pamhnam la Pa, m'yeneinaka Pa la dawkyanak naküta phung, mi Pamhnama veia jenak mi pyen vai.
4 who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Pamhnam naw a jah jekyainak sak am, khuikhaki he pi mi jah jekyaisak thei hnga vaia, ani naw mi khuikhanak naküt üng jah jekyai saki.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
Khritawa khuikhanak akdäm kami yümeia kba, Khritaw üng Pamhnama kpüikpaknak pi kami yümei püiki.
6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.
Khuikha u lü kami ve üng pi nangmia dawnak vai la küikyanak vaia ni akya ve; dawnak am kami ve üng pi khameinak kami dunei theia kba khameinak nami duneinak thei hnga vaia nami dawkyanak vaia ni akya ve.
7 Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the comfort.
Khuikhanak nami jah khameipüikia kyase jekyainak pi nami yah khai tia üpna kami taki.
8 For we do not desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.
Ka püi he aw, Asah khawa am khamei hlawt vaia khuikhanak, xüng be vaia pi ä ngaih vaia ami jah bawngkhanak sak he cen nami ksing vai ngja hlü veng.
9 Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,
Kami thi khaia kami ngaiki. Acun cun, kami mät am üpna u lü, khyang kthi mtho bekia Pamhnam kami üpnak thei vai phäha ni akya ve.
10 who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver, on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us,
Acukba kyühksekia thihnak üng Pamhnam naw jah küikyan pängki, jah küikyan be khai; jah küikyan be laih laih khai ti amät kami üpnaki.
11 you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift given to us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.
Kami phäha ktaiyünak am nami jah kpüikia kyase, tuha pi jah küikyan khai ti kami jumki. Acunakyase, khyang khawjah naw nami jah ktaiyü peta phäha kami khana pha lawkia bäkhäknak hmu u lü khyang khawjah naw kami phäha jekyainak pyen khai he.
12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
Khawmdek khana kami xünak hin khyanga thengvainak am am ni lü, aktunga nangmi am mi ngkhawteinak üng Pamhnama jah peta ngcimcaihnak, cingcainak, Pamhnama bäkhäknaka johit am akdaw akse ksingnak theia phäh kami awhcaki ni.
13 For we write no other things to you than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end—
Nami ksing thei la nami kheh thei vaia däng ni nami veia ca kami yuk law ve. Bawipa Jesuha mhmüp üng kami ning jah awhcahnak vaia kba, keimi pi nami jah awcahna khai ti avang nami ksing pängki. Avan nami ksing law khai ti ngah'uhnak ka taki.
14 as also you acknowledged us in part—that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
15 In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit,
Acunüng, acuna jumnak ta u lü a bäkhäknak ngsawn nghngih nami yahnak vaia nami veia ka law ma khai.
16 and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Judea.
Nangmi ning jah hmu law lü, Maketawnih khawa ka cit pah khai; acunüng, Maketawnih khaw üngka naw nami veia ka nghlat law be khaia ka büki; acunüng, Judah khawa ka cehnak vai üng nangmi naw nami na tha vaia ka bü siki.
17 When I therefore planned this, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?”
Acukba ka ngtünak üng, ka ngcüngcei sawxatki aw? Pumsa lama ngtün lü, “Ä’ sawxat lü ‘Ka’ sawxat lü ka awmki aw?
18 But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “Yes and no.”
Pamhnam cun ngthungtak akya kba, nami veia ka ngtün cun, “Ä” tia kya lü, “Ka” tia am kya.
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.”
Pamhnama Capa Jesuh Khritawa ngthu kei, Tilah la Timoti naw nami veia kami sang khawi cen, “Ä” la “Ka” am kya lü, Pamhnam üng “Ä” tia ni akya nglät ve.
20 For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.
Pamhnama ngthu khyütam ijah ve se pi, Jesuh üng “Ä” tia ni akya bäih ve. Acunakyase ni, Amät üng “Amen” mi ti u lü, Pamhnama hlüngtainak mi ngsing saki.
21 Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,
Acunüng, Khritaw üng nangmi la keimi atänga jah ngdüihsak lü, jah khängsaki cun Pamhnam ni. Jah kphyei nghaki cun Mhnam amäta kyaki.
22 who also sealed us and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
Ani cun a jah ka ni tia msingnak mi khana ta lü, mi ka vaia khawjah a tak üpnak vaia khängsakia Ngmüimkhya Ngcim mi mlungmthin k’uma jah pekia kyaki.
23 But I call God for a witness to my soul, that to spare you, I did not come to Corinth.
Nangmi ka ning jah m'yeneia phäha ni, Korintuh khawa atuh veia am ka law hin; ka mlungmthin ksingkia Pamhnam na ksingpüi khaia khü veng.
24 We do not control your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.
Nami jumnaka khana bawia kami kyakia am kya ve, nami jekyainak vaia kami khüiki ka tinak ni; jumnak üng khäng khaia nami ngdüiki ti ka ksingki.
