< 1 Peter 4 >

1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
Khrih ing a pum awh a khuikha hawh dawngawh, cemyih kawlung ing nangmih thoeih ang cam qu lah uh, u awm a pum awh ak khuikha thlangkhqi taw thawlhnaak dawngawh ni.
2 that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
Khawmdek awh thlanghqing ak kawngaih amak leek sai aham am hqing nawh Khawsak kawngaih sai aham ni a hqing hy.
3 For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.
Nangmih taw ak kqym awh lukih thlangkhqi ing tyk unawh ami sai ik-oeih sainaak aham a tym haw na hawh uhyk ti – khawboe seetnaak, hy ngaihnaak, zuu quinaak, so a teenaak, zuukqui na awmnaak ingkaw tyih am leh ak cu myiqawl bawknaakkhqi ce sai uhyk ti.
4 They think it is strange that you do not run with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you.
Cemyih ik-oeih awh nangmih am namik cawn dawngawh amik kawpoek na kyi nawh nangmih ce amak tyng nani sai khqi hy.
5 They will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
Cehlai thlakthi ingkaw thlanghqing awi ak dengkung a venawh a ik-oeih saikhqi boeih ce phawng kawm uh.
6 For to this end the Good News was preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed as men in the flesh, but live as to God in the spirit.
Ve a dawngawh maw awithang leek ve thlakthikhqi venawh awm khypyi na a awm mah, cekkhqi awm thlangkhqi amyihna pumsa benawh awideng na a awm thainaak aham, cehlai Khawsa benawh taw myihla awi deng na awm kaw.
7 But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.
Ik-oeih boeih a dytnaak a tym zoe hawh hy. Cedawngawh namik cykcah thainaak aham kawlung ak caih na ta unawh yhnaak ing awm lah uh.
8 And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.
Cekcoengawh, pynoet ingkaw pynoet ak dung soeih na lung qu na lah uh, kawtih lungnaak ing thawlhnaak khawzah ce sing hy.
9 Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
Kawsonaak a taak kaana pynoet ingkaw pynoet do a dan qu lah uh.
10 As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.
Thlang boeih ing kutdo a huhnaak amyihna thlak chang aham bibi qip aham awm hy, Khawsa qeennaak bi soepkep ce ypawm cana bi aham awm hy.
11 If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion for the ages (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165). Amen.
U ingawm Khawsak awi ak kqawn awhtaw, Khawsak awi ak kqawnnaak amyihna a sai aham awm hy. U ingawm bi a bi awhtaw, Khawsa ing a peek thaawmnaak ing a bi aham awm hy, cawh ni ik-oeih soepkep awh Jesu Khrih ak caming Khawsa ce zoeksang na a awm hly. Anih a venawh boeimang saithainaak kumqui dy awm seh. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.
Ka lungnaak ka pyikhqi, khuikha huhnaak ak tlo soeih a pha law awh, ik-oeih amak awm khawi nangmih a venawh pha law mai seiawm naming ngaih koeh kyi sak uh.
13 But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.
Cehlai Khrih ak khuikhanaak ak bawnkung na nami awm dawngawh zeel lah uh, cawh ni amah a boeimangnaak ang dang law awh zeelnaak ing nami be hly hlai hy.
14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.
Khrih ang ming awh thlang ing nangmih ce ani zyih khqi awhtaw, nami zoseen hy, boeimangnaak ingkaw Khawsa ang Myihla ce nangmih ak khanawh awm hy.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men’s matters.
Nami khuikha awhtaw, cawhkaw nami khuikhanaak ce thlang himnaak awh, quuknaak awh, khawboe seet ik-oeih pynoet oet sainaak awh, am awhtaw nimah thlang ik-oeih awh ang qawlh qunaak awh na koeh awm seh.
16 But if one of you suffers for being a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this matter.
Cehlai, Khrih thlang na na awm dawngawh na khuikha awhtaw, koeh chak, ce ang ming na khuikha dawngawh Khawsa ce kyihcah lah.
17 For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who do not obey the Good News of God?
Ikawtih Khawsa ipkhui kaw awhkawng awideng naak kqannaak tym na awm hawh hy; awidengnaak ce ningnih a ven awhkawng kqawn na a awm awhtaw, Khawsa awithang leek amak cangnaak thlangkhqi ak khqoet aham ikawmyihna a awmnaak kaw ce?
18 “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?”
Cawh, Thlak dyng aham zani hulnaak ce a kyi awhtaw, Khawsa amak simkhqi ingkaw thlakthawlhkhqi ak khqoet aham ikawmyihna nu a awm naak hly hy?”
19 Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.
Cedawngawh, Khawsa ngaihnaak amyihna ak khuikhakhqi ing Saikung ypawm a venawh a mimah ce nawn qu u seitaw ik-oeih leek ce sai poe u seh.
