Mark 12
1 And he began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set up a hedge, and dug a wine vat, and built a tower, and leased it to farmers, and went on a journey.
Og han begynte å tale til dem i lignelser: En mann plantet en vingård, og satte et gjerde omkring den og gravde en vinperse og bygget et tårn, og så leide han den ut til vingårdsmenn og drog utenlands.
2 And at the season he sent forth a bondman to the farmers, so that he might receive by the farmers from the fruit of the vineyard.
Og da tiden kom, sendte han en tjener til vingårdsmennene for å ta imot hans del av vingårdens frukt hos vingårdsmennene;
3 And having seized him, they beat him, and sent him away empty.
og de tok og slo ham, og lot ham gå bort med tomme hender.
4 And again he sent another bondman to them. And that man, having stoned, they wounded in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated.
Og atter sendte han en annen tjener til dem, og ham slo de i hodet og hånte ham.
5 And again he sent another, and that man they killed, and many others, beating some, and killing some.
Og han sendte en annen, og ham slo de ihjel, og så gjorde de med mange andre: somme slo de, og somme drepte de.
6 Therefore, still having his one beloved son, he also sent him to them, last, saying, They will be made ashamed by my son.
Nu hadde han bare sin eneste sønn igjen, som han elsket; ham sendte han til sist til dem, idet han sa: De vil undse sig for min sønn.
7 But those farmers said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
Men disse vingårdsmenn sa til hverandre: Dette er arvingen; kom, la oss slå ham ihjel, så blir arven vår!
8 And having taken him, they killed him, and cast him outside of the vineyard.
Og de tok og slo ham ihjel, og kastet ham ut av vingården.
9 What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
Hvad skal da vingårdens herre gjøre? Han skal komme og drepe vingårdsmennene, og overgi vingården til andre.
10 And have ye not read this scripture: The stone that those who build rejected, this came to be into the head of the corner.
Og har I ikke lest dette sted i Skriften: Den sten som bygningsmennene forkastet, den er blitt hjørnesten;
11 This happened from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
av Herren er dette gjort, og det er underfullt i våre øine?
12 And they sought to seize him. And they feared the multitude, for they knew that he spoke the parable against them. And having left him, they went away.
Og de søkte å gripe ham, men fryktet for folket; for de skjønte at det var om dem han hadde talt lignelsen. Og de forlot ham og gikk bort.
13 And they send some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians to him, so that they might catch him in talk.
Og de sendte nogen av fariseerne og herodianerne til ham for å fange ham med ord.
14 And when they came, they say to him, Teacher, we have seen that thou are true, and it is not a care to thee about any man, for thou look not to a personage of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it permitted to give tribute to Caesar or not?
Og de kom og sa til ham: Mester! vi vet at du er sanndru og ikke bryr dig om nogen; for du gjør ikke forskjell på folk, men lærer Guds vei i sannhet: Er det tillatt å gi keiseren skatt, eller ikke? skal vi gi, eller skal vi ikke gi?
15 Should we give, or should we not give? But Jesus, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, Why do ye test me? Bring me a denarius, so that I may see it.
Men da han så deres hykleri, sa han til dem: Hvorfor frister I mig? Kom hit med en penning og la mig få se den!
16 And they brought it. And he says to them, Whose is this image and inscription? And they said to him, Caesar's.
De gav ham en. Og han sier til dem: Hvis billede og påskrift er dette? De sa til ham: Keiserens.
17 And having answered, Jesus said to them, Render the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God. And they marveled at him.
Og Jesus sa til dem: Gi keiseren hvad keiserens er, og Gud hvad Guds er! Og de undret sig storlig over ham.
18 And Sadducees come to him, who say there is no resurrection. And they questioned him, saying,
Og det kom nogen sadduseere til ham, de som sier at det ikke er nogen opstandelse, og de spurte ham og sa:
19 Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If a man's brother dies, and leaves behind a wife, and leaves no child, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.
Mester! Moses har foreskrevet oss at når en manns bror dør og efterlater hustru, men ikke barn, da skal hans bror ta hans hustru til ekte og opreise sin bror avkom.
20 There were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
Nu var det syv brødre; og den første tok sig en hustru, og efterlot ikke avkom da han døde.
21 And the second took her, and died, neither did he leave seed behind, and the third likewise.
Og den annen tok henne, og døde uten å efterlate avkom, og den tredje likeså;
22 And the seven took her, and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died.
og ingen av de syv efterlot avkom. Sist av alle døde også kvinnen.
23 In the resurrection when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as wife.
Men i opstandelsen, når de står op, hvem av dem skal da få henne til hustru? for alle syv har jo hatt henne til hustru.
24 And having answered, Jesus said to them, Are ye not led astray because of this: not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God?
Jesus sa til dem: Er det ikke derfor I farer vill, fordi I ikke kjenner skriftene og heller ikke Guds kraft?
25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as agents in the heavens.
For når de står op fra de døde, da hverken tar de til ekte eller gis de til ekte, men de er som englene i himmelen.
26 But about the dead, that they rise, have ye not read in the book of Moses, how God spoke to him at the bush, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
Men om de døde, at de står op, har I da ikke lest i Mose bok, der hvor det tales om tornebusken, hvorledes Gud talte til ham og sa: Jeg er Abrahams Gud og Isaks Gud og Jakobs Gud?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but God of the living. Ye therefore are much misled.
Gud er ikke de dødes Gud, men de levendes. I farer storlig vill.
28 And one of the scholars having come, having heard them disputing, knowing that he had answered them well, he questioned him, Which is the first commandment of all?
Og en av de skriftlærde, som hadde hørt deres ordskifte, gikk til ham, da han forstod at han hadde svart dem godt, og han spurte ham: Hvilket bud er det første av alle?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, thou Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord,
Jesus svarte ham: Det første er dette: Hør, Israel! Herren vår Gud, Herren er én,
30 and thou shall love the Lord thy God from thy whole heart, and from thy whole soul, and from thy whole mind, and from thy whole strength. This is the first commandment.
og du skal elske Herren din Gud av alt ditt hjerte og av all din sjel og av all din hu og av all din makt; dette er det første bud.
31 And this second is similar, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.
Det annet, som er like så stort, er dette: Du skal elske din næste som dig selv. Større enn disse er intet annet bud.
32 And the scholar said to him, Well, teacher. Thou spoke in truth that he is one, and there is no other but he.
Og den skriftlærde sa til ham: I sannhet, mester! med rette har du sagt at han er én, og at det ikke er nogen annen foruten ham.
33 And to love him from the whole heart, and from the whole understanding, and from the whole soul, and from the whole strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Og å elske ham av alt sitt hjerte og av all sin forstand og av all sin sjel og av all sin makt, og å elske sin næste som sig selv, det er mere enn alle brennoffer og slaktoffer.
34 And when Jesus saw him, that he answered wisely, he said to him, Thou are not far from the kingdom of God. And no man dared to question him any more.
Og da Jesus så at han svarte forstandig, sa han til ham: Du er ikke langt borte fra Guds rike. Og ingen vågde mere å spørre ham.
35 And having responded as he taught in the temple, Jesus said, How do the scholars say that the Christ is the son of David?
Og mens Jesus lærte i templet, tok han til orde og sa: Hvorledes kan de skriftlærde si at Messias er Davids sønn?
36 For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, The Lord says to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I may place thine enemies a footstool of thy feet.
David selv har jo sagt i den Hellige Ånd: Herren sa til min herre: Sett dig ved min høire hånd, til jeg får lagt dine fiender til skammel for dine føtter!
37 David himself therefore calls him Lord, and in what way is he his son? And the great multitude heard him gladly.
David selv kaller ham herre; hvorledes kan han da være hans sønn? Og den store mengde hørte ham gjerne.
38 And in his teaching he said to them, Look away from the scholars, those who desire to go about in long robes, and salutations in the marketplaces,
Og han sa mens han lærte dem: Ta eder i vare for de skriftlærde, som gjerne vil gå i side klær og la sig hilse på torvene,
39 and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at the feasts,
og ha de øverste seter i synagogene og sitte øverst ved gjestebudene;
40 those who devour widows' houses, and praying long in pretence. These will receive greater condemnation.
de som opeter enkers hus og for et syns skyld holder lange bønner! Disse skal få dess hårdere dom.
41 And having sat down opposite the treasury, Jesus watched how the multitude cast money into the treasury, and many rich men cast in much.
Og han satte sig rett imot tempelkisten og så på hvorledes folket la penger i kisten; og mange rike la meget.
42 And one poor widow having come, she cast in two mites, which are a quadrans.
Og en fattig enke kom og la to skjerver, som er én øre.
43 And having summoned his disciples, he says to them, Truly I say to you, that this poor widow cast in more than all those who are casting into the treasury.
Da kalte han sine disipler til sig og sa til dem: Sannelig sier jeg eder: Denne fattige enke har lagt mere enn alle de som la i kisten.
44 For they all cast in from that which is abundant to them, but she from her need cast in all, as many things she had, her whole living.
For de la alle av sin overflod, men hun la av sin fattigdom alt det hun eide, hele sitt livsophold.
