୧ମ କରନ୍ତିୟ 14
1 ୧ ତେବେ ବାଇମନ୍କେ ଆଲାଦ୍ କର୍ବାକେ ତମର୍ ସବୁ ବପୁ ସାରାଆ । ସୁକଲ୍ଆତ୍ମା ଜନ୍ ସବୁ ବପୁ ଦେଲାନି, ସେଟା ପାଇବାକେ ମିସା ମନ୍ କରା । ସେ ବିତ୍ରେ ଅନି ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ଜାନାଇବା ବପୁ ପାଇବାକେ ମନ୍ କରା ।
Labour after charity, and be desirous of spiritual gifts: but especially that ye may prophesy.
2 ୨ କାଇକେବଇଲେ ଜେ ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସା ସଙ୍ଗ୍ କାତା ଅଇସି, ସେ ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ନାଇ, ମାତର୍ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ କାତା ଅଇଲାନି । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ତାର୍ କାତା କେ ମିସା ବୁଜତ୍ ନାଇ । ସେମନ୍ ଆତ୍ମାର୍ ବପୁର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଲୁଚ୍ତେ ରଇବା ସତ୍ ବିସଇ କାତା ଅଇଲାଇନି ।
For he, that speaketh in an unknown tongue, speaketh not to men, but to God: for no one understandeth, though in spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3 ୩ ମାତର୍ ଜେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ଜାନାଇସି, ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ କାତା ଅଇସି । ଜେନ୍ତାରିକି, ସେମନ୍କେ ସାଇଜ, ସାର୍ଦା ଆରି ଦୁକ୍ ସାରାଇବାଟା ଦେଇରଇସି ।
But he, that prophesieth, speaketh edification, and exhortation, and comfort to men.
4 ୪ ଜେ ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ କାତାଅଇସି, ସେଟା ତାର୍ ନିଜର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍କେ ଡାଟ୍ କରାଇସି । ମାତର୍ ଜେ କି ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ଜାନାଇସି, ସେ ଗୁଲାଇ ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ଡାଟ୍ କରାଇସି ।
He, that speaketh in an unknown tongue, edifieth himself: but he, that prophesieth, edifieth the church.
5 ୫ ତମେ ସବୁଲକ୍ ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ କାତା ଅଇଲେ ମୁଇ ସାର୍ଦା ଅଇବି । ମାତର୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ଜାନାଇବାକେ ବପୁ ଉଆ ବଲି ମୁଇ ଅଦିକ୍ ମନ୍ କଲିନି । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ପାଇକରି ଜାନାଇବା ଲକ୍, ନାଜାନ୍ବା ବାସାଇ କାତା ଅଇବା ଲକର୍ ଟାନେଅନି ମୁକିଅ । ଜଦି ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ କେ ମିସା ସେ କଇଲା ବିସଇର୍ ଅରତ୍ ନ ବୁଜାଇବାଜାକ ଗୁଲାଇ ମଣ୍ଡଲି ସାଇଜ ନଏଁ ।
I could wish that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edification.
6 ୬ ତେବେ ଏ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍ ମୁଇ ତମର୍ଟାନେ ଆଇଲାବେଲେ, ଜଦି ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ କାତା କଇଲେ, ତମ୍କେ କେନ୍ତି ଡାଟ୍ କରାଇବି? ମୁଲ୍କେ ନାଇ, ଜଦି ମୁଇ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଟାନେଅନି ପାଇଲା ବାକିଅ, କି ଗିଆନ୍, କି ବବିସତ୍ କାତା ସିକ୍ବା ବିସଇ ନ ଜାନାଇଲେ, ତେବେ ତମ୍କେ କେନ୍ତି ଡାଟ୍ କରାଇବି?
Now, my brethren, if I come to you speaking with many tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak intelligibly to you of revelation, or knowledge, or prophecy, or doctrine?
7 ୭ ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ବାଉଁସି ଆରି ଡୁଡୁଙ୍ଗା ପାରା ଜିବନ୍ ନ ରଇବା ବାଇଦ୍ ବିସଇ ବାବିଦେକୁ, ସେଟା ଜଦି ବାଜନ୍ତେଇ ବିନ୍ ସର୍ ନ ରଇଲେ, ସେଟା ବାଜ୍ଲାନି ବଲିକରି ଜାନି ନଏ ।
As inanimate things which give a found, whether pipe or harp, unless they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall what is piped or harped be understood?
8 ୮ ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ସନିଅମନ୍ ଜନ୍ ବାଁକା ବାଜାଇବାଇ, ଜଦି ତାର୍ ସବଦ୍ ଟିକ୍ ନାଇ, ଜୁଇଦେ ଜିବାଜେ କେ ମିସା ଜାଗ୍ରତ୍ ନ ଅଅତ୍ ।
For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who will prepare himself for the battle?
9 ୯ ସେନ୍ତାରିସେ ନ ବୁଜ୍ବା କାତା କଇଲେ, ତମେ କାଇଟା କାତା ଅଇଲାସ୍ନି ବଲି କେ ବୁଜି ନାପାରତ୍ । ତମର୍ କାତା ପବନ୍ ଉଡାଇନେଲା ପାରା ଅଇସି ।
So also unless ye utter by the tongue intelligible words, how shall what is spoken be understood? for thus ye will be only talking to the wind.
There are, it may be, as many kinds of voices in the world as people, and none of them insignificant.
11 ୧୧ ମାତର୍ କାତାଅଇରଇବା ବାସା ଜଦି ମୁଇ ବୁଜି ନାପାର୍ଲିନି, ସେ ବାସାଇ କାତା ଅଇବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ମର୍ ଅଚିନାର୍ ଲକ୍ ପାରା, ମୁଇ ମିସା ସେମନର୍ପାଇ ଅଚିନାର୍ ପାରା ।
But if I know not the force of the words, I shall be to him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh will be a barbarian to me.
12 ୧୨ ତେବେ ତମେ ଜେନ୍ତାରିକି ସୁକଲ୍ ଆତ୍ମାର୍ ବିନ୍ ବିନ୍ ରକାମର୍ ଦାନ୍ ପାଇବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲାସ୍ନି, ସେ ସବୁର୍ ଟାନେଅନି ଜନ୍ ସବୁ ଦାନ୍ ତମର୍ ମଣ୍ଡଲିକେ ଡାଟ୍ କରାଇସି, ସେ ଦାନ୍ ବାଇବାକେ ଚେସ୍ଟା କରା ।
So ye also, since ye are so desirous of spiritual gifts, seek to abound in them to the edification of the church.
Wherefore let him, that speaketh in an unknown tongue, pray that he may interpret.
14 ୧୪ କାଇକେବଇଲେ ମୁଇ ଜଦି ନାଜାନ୍ବା ବାସାଇ ପାର୍ତନା କର୍ବି, ମର୍ ଆତ୍ମା ପାର୍ତନା କଲାନି । ମାତର୍ ମର୍ ବୁଜ୍ବାର୍ ବପୁ ତେଇ ମିସେନାଇ ।
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit indeed prayeth, but my meaning is fruitless.
15 ୧୫ ତେବେ ମୁଇ କାଇଟା କର୍ବି? ମର୍ ଆତ୍ମାଇ ପାର୍ତନା କର୍ବି, ମାତର୍ ବୁଜ୍ଲା ପାରା ମିସା ପାର୍ତନା କର୍ବି । ମର୍ ଆତ୍ମାଇ ଗିତ୍ କଇବି । ମାତର୍ ବୁଜ୍ଲାପାରା ମିସା ଗିତ୍ କଇବି ।
What is then to be done? I will pray with the Spirit, but I will pray to be understood: I will sing with the spirit, but I will sing to be understood.
16 ୧୬ କାଇକେବଇଲେ ପର୍ମେସର୍କେ ଆତ୍ମାଇସେ ଦନିଅବାଦ୍ ଦେଇସା, ସବାଇ ରଇଲା ମାମୁଲି ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ତମର୍ ପାର୍ତନା ସୁନିକରି, କେ ଆମେନ୍ ବଲି କଇପାର୍ବାଇ? ନାଇ ନା ପାରେ । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ତମେ କାଇଟା କଇଲାସ୍ନି, ସେଟା ସେ ନାଜାନେ ।
For if thou bless in the spirit, how shall the unlearned say Amen to thy thanksgiving, when he knoweth not what thou sayst?
17 ୧୭ ତେବେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଟାନେ ତମର୍ ଦନିଅବାଦ୍ ଦେବାଟା ବେସି ନିକ ରଇଲେ ମିସା ତମର୍ ବିନ୍ ବାଇମନ୍କେ ଡାଟ୍ କରାଇ ନାପାର୍ଲାସ୍ ।
thou indeed givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
18 ୧୮ ମୁଇ ପର୍ମେସର୍କେ ଦନିଅବାଦ୍ ଦେଲିନି, ମୁଇ ତମର୍ ସବୁର୍ଟାନେଅନି ଅଦିକ୍, ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ କାତା କଇପାରି ।
I thank God, I speak with tongues more than you all.
19 ୧୯ ମାତର୍ ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ ଉପାସନା ବେଲାଇ, ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ ଅଜାର୍ ଅଜାର୍ ପଦ୍ ନ କଇକରି ସବୁଲକ୍ ବୁଜ୍ଲା ପାରା ପାଁଚ୍ଟା ପଦ୍ କଇବାଟା ନିକ ।
But in a public assembly I had rather speak five words to be understood, that I may instruct others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
20 ୨୦ ଏ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍ ତମେ ପିଲାମନର୍ ପାରା ଚିନ୍ତା କରାନାଇ । କାରାପ୍ ବିସଇତେଇ ପିଲାପାରା ଉଆ । ମାତର୍ ବୁଦି ଆରି ବିଚାର୍ କର୍ବାତେଇ ବଡ୍ ଲକର୍ ପାରା ଅଇବାର୍ ଦର୍କାର୍ ।
My brethren, be not children in sense: but in malice be infants, and in your judgements shew yourselves to be men.
21 ୨୧ ସାସ୍ତରେ ଲେକାଆଚେ, ମାପ୍ରୁ କଇଲାନି, ବିନ୍ ବାସା କଇବା ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ବାଟେଅନି ଏ ଲକର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ମୁଇ କାତା ଅଇବି । ନାଜାନ୍ବା ବାସା କଇବା ଲକର୍ ଟଣ୍ଡେଅନି ମୁଇ ଏ ଜାତିସଙ୍ଗ୍ କାତା ଅଇବି, ଏଲେ ମିସା ସେମନ୍ ମର୍ କାତା ନ ସୁନତ୍ ।
It is written in the law, "By men of another language, and by other lips, will I speak to this people, and even so they will not listen to me, saith the Lord."
22 ୨୨ ନାଜାନ୍ବା ବାସା କାତା ଅଇବା ବପୁ, ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ନ କଲା ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ପାଇ ଗଟେକ୍ ଚିନ୍ ପାରା । ମାତର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସିମନର୍ପାଇ ନାଇ । ଆରି ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ଜାନାଇବା ବପୁ ବିସ୍ବାସି ମନର୍ପାଇ ଗଟେକ୍ ଚିନ୍, ଆରି ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ନ କର୍ବା ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ପାଇ ନାଇ ।
So that tongues are for a sign, not to believers but to unbelievers: but prophecy not to unbelievers but to those that believe.
23 ୨୩ ତେବେ ତମେ ମଣ୍ଡଲି ଇସାବେ ରୁଣ୍ଡ୍ଲା ବେଲେ ନାଜାନ୍ଲା କାତା କଇସା ବଇଲେ, ତେଇରଇବା ବିନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଆରି ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ନ କର୍ବା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ କାଇଟା ବଲି କଇବାଇ? “ଏ ତା ବାୟା ଅଇଗାଲା ଆଚେ!”
If then the whole church be come together and all speak in unknown tongues, and there come in illiterate persons, or infidels, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 ୨୪ ଜଦି ସବୁଲକ୍ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଜାନାଇଲା କାତା କଇଲାସ୍ନି, ଜଦି ତେଇ ଗଟେକ୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ନ କଲା ଲକ୍ କି ଗଟେକ୍ ମାମୁଲି ଲକ୍ ଆଇଲେ, ତେବେ ସେ ନିଜର୍ ପାପର୍ ବିସଇର୍ ଚେତ୍ନା ପାଇସି । ଆରି ସେ ସୁନ୍ଲା ସବୁ ବିସଇର୍ କାତାଇଅନି ତାକେ ବିଚାର୍ ଅଇସି ।
But if all prophesy, and there come in an unbeliever, or one unlearned, he is convinced by all, he is judged by all.
25 ୨୫ ଆରି ତାର୍ ମନେ ଲୁଚି ରଇବା ବିସଇ ସବୁ ଜାନାପଡ୍ସି । ପଚେ ସେ ପର୍ମେସର୍କେ ଡାଣ୍ଡାସନ୍ ପଡି, ତାର୍ କରିରଇବା ପାପ୍ ମାନିଅଇକରି “ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ସତଇସେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଆଚେ!” ବଲି କଇସି ।
And thus the secrets of his heart are made manifest; so that falling down upon his face he will worship God, declaring that God is indeed among you.
26 ୨୬ ଏ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍, ମର୍ କଇବା କାତା ଅଇଲାନି, ତମେ ଉପାସନା କର୍ବାକେ ରୁଣ୍ଡ୍ଲା ବେଲାଇ ଏନ୍ତାରି କରା । ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେଅନି କାକେ କାକେ ଗିତ୍ ଆଚେ, କାକେ କାକେ, ସିକିଆ ଦେବାଟା ଆଚେ, ଆରି କାକେ କାକେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଟାନେ ଅନି କାତା ପାଇ, ସେଟା ଜାନାଇବାଟା ଆଚେ, କି ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ କାତା କଇବାଟା ଆଚେ, ଆରି କାକେ କାକେ ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ କଇଲା କାତାର୍ ଅରତ୍ ବୁଜାଇବା ବପୁ ଆଚେ, ଏନ୍ତି କାଇଟା ନଇଲେ କାଇଟା ଆଚେ । ଏଟା ସବୁ ଅଇସି, ତେବେ ମଣ୍ଡଲିର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସି ମନର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ଡାଁଟ୍ ଅଇସି ।
What is then to be done, my brethren? when ye come together, if any of you hath a psalm, a doctrine, a tongue, a revelation, an interpretation, ---let all be done for edification.
27 ୨୭ ଜଦି କେ ନାଜାନ୍ଲା ବାସାଇ କାତା ଅଇଲେ, ଦୁଇ ତିନ୍ ଲକର୍ ତେଇଅନି ଅଦିକ୍ ଲକ୍ ନ କଅତ୍ । ଆରି ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକର୍ ପଚେ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍ କଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ଆରି ସେ କାତା ବୁଜାଇ ଦେବା ଲକ୍ ମିସା ତେଇ ରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
And if any one speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at most by three, and that by turns; and let one interpret.
28 ୨୮ ଜଦି ସେଟା ବୁଜାଇବାକେ ତେଇ କେ ନାଇ, ସେ ଉପାସନାଇ ଚୁପ୍ ଅଇ ରଅ । ସେ ଅବ୍କା ମନେ ମନେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ କାତା ଅ ।
But if there be no interpreter, let him be silent in the assembly; and let him speak to himself and to God.
29 ୨୯ ଜଦି ପର୍ମେସରର୍ଟାନେଅନି କାତା ପାଇ, ଜାନାଇବା ଲକ୍ ଆଚତ୍, ତେବେ ଦୁଇ ଲକ୍ କି ତିନ୍ ଲକ୍ ରଇବାର୍ । ସେ ବେଲାଇ ତେଇ ରଇଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ସେ ବାକିଅ ବିଚାର୍ କର୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
And let but two or three of the prophets speak, and the others judge.
30 ୩୦ ମାତର୍ ଉପାସନାତେଇ ରଇବା ଜଦି କାକେ ଅଟାତ୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ଟାନେ ଅନି କାତା ପାଇସି, ତେବେ ବାକିଅ କଇତେରଇବା ଲକ୍ ତେଇ ବନ୍ଦ୍ କରିରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
And if any thing be revealed to another sitting by, let the first have done speaking before the other begins.
31 ୩୧ କାଇକେବଇଲେ ତମେ ଏନ୍ତାରି କଲେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ, ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକର୍ ପଚେ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲକ୍, କଇ ପାରାସ୍ । ଜେନ୍ତିକି ସବୁଲକ୍ ସିକିଆ ପାଇକରି ଚେତ୍ନା ଅଇବାଇ ।
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets:
33 ୩୩ କାଇକେବଇଲେ ପର୍ମେସର୍ ଆଗାପଚା ନ ଅଇକରି ସବୁ ବିସଇ ଅର୍ସା ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ଅ, ବଲି ମନ୍ କଲାନି । ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବିନ୍ ଉପାସନା ମଣ୍ଡଲିତେଇ ଜେନ୍ତାରି,
for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as we see in all the assemblies of the saints.
34 ୩୪ ତମେ ମଣ୍ଡଲି ଇସାବେ ରୁଣ୍ଡ୍ଲା ବେଲେ, ମାଇଜିମନ୍ ଚୁପ୍ଚାପ୍ ଅଇରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ । ତେଇ ସେମନ୍ କାତା କଇବାକେ ସେମନ୍କେ ଆଦେସ୍ ମିଲେନାଇ । ଜିଉଦି ନିୟମ୍ ଇସାବେ ସେମନ୍ ମନସ୍ ପିଲାର୍ ତଲିଆ ରଇବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
Let your women be silent in your assemblies: for it is not permitted to them to speak, but they are to be in subjection, as the law saith.
35 ୩୫ ସେମନ୍ ଜଦି କାଇ ବିସଇ ବୁଜ୍ବାକେ ମନ୍ କଲାଇନି, ଗରେ ଜାଇ କରି ନିଜର୍ ମୁନୁସ୍କେ ପାଚାର । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ମଣ୍ଡଲିଟାନେ କାତା କଇବାଟା ମାଇଜିମନର୍ ପାଇ ଗଟେକ୍ ଲାଜର୍ କାତା ।
And if they would learn any thing, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it does not become women to speak in a public assembly.
36 ୩୬ କାଇଟା? ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ତମର୍ ଟାନେଅନି ଜାତ୍ ଅଇଲା ଆଚେ କି? ସେ ବାକିଅ କାଇ ତମର୍ଟାନେସେ ଆସିରଇଲା କି? ନାଇ ଆସି ନ ରଇଲା ।
Did the word of God come out first from you? or did it come to you only?
37 ୩୭ କେ ଜଦି ତମର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ଜାନାଇବା ଲକ୍ କି ସୁକଲ୍ ଆତ୍ମା ଅନି ଦାନ୍ ପାଇଲିଆଚି ବଲି ବାବ୍ସି, ସେନ୍ତିଆଲେ ମୁଇ ତମ୍କେ ଜାଇ ଜାଇଟା ଲେକ୍ଲିନି, ସେ ସବୁ ଜେ ମାପ୍ରୁର୍ ଆଦେସ୍, ଏଟା ସେ ଜାନ୍ବାର୍ ଆଚେ ।
If any one seem to be a prophet, or acted by the Spirit, let him acknowlege that what I write to you are the commandments of the Lord.
But if any will be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
39 ୩୯ ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ଏ ବାଇବଇନିମନ୍ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ କାତା ଜାନାଇବାକେ ମନ୍ କରା, ମାତର୍ ନ ବୁଜ୍ବା ବାସାଇ କାତା କଇବାକେ କାକେ ନିଚୁ ବଲି କୁଆନାଇ ।
Wherefore, my brethren, be most desirous to prophesy, and yet forbid not to speak with tongues:
but let all things be done decently and in order.
