4 Mosebog 26

1 Efter denne Plage talede HERREN til Moses og Eleazar, Præsten Arons Søn, og sagde:

And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and Eleazar the priest, saying,

2 "Hold Mandtal over hele Israeliternes Menighed fra Tyveårsalderen og opefter, Fædrenehus for Fædrenehus, alle våbenføre Mænd i Israel!"

Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, according to the houses of their lineage, every one that goes forth to battle in Israel.

3 Da mønstrede Moses og Præsten Eleazar dem på Moabs Sletter ved Jordan over for Jeriko

And Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke in Araboth of Moab at the Jordan by Jericho, saying,

4 fra Tyveårsalderen og opefter, som HERREN havde pålagt Moses. Og Israeliterne, som var udvandret fra Ægypten, var følgende:

[This is the numbering] from twenty years old and upward as the Lord commanded Moses. And the sons of Israel that came out of Egypt [are as follows]:

5 Ruben, Israels førstefødte; Rubens Sønner: Fra Hanok stammer Hanokiternes Slægt, fra Pallu Palluiternes Slægt,

Ruben [was] the first-born of Israel: and the sons of Ruben, Enoch, and the family of Enoch; to Phallu belongs the family of the Phalluites.

6 fra Hezron Hezroniternes Slægt og fra Karmi Karmiternes Slægt.

To Asron, the family of Asroni: to Charmi, the family of Charmi.

7 Det var Rubeniternes Slægter, og de af dem, som mønstredes, udgjorde 43730.

These [are] the families of Ruben; and their numbering was forty-three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

8 Pallus Søn var Eliab;

And the sons of Phallu [were] Eliab, —

9 Eliabs Sønner: Nemuel, Datan og Abiram; det var den Datan og den Abiram, Menighedens udvalgte, som satte sig op imod Moses og Aron sammen med Koras Tilhængere, da de satte sig op imod HERREN;

and the sons of Eliab, Namuel, and Dathan, and Abiron: these [are] renowned men of the congregation; these are they that rose up against Moses and Aaron in the gathering of Core, in the rebellion against the Lord.

10 og Jorden åbnede sit Gab og slugte dem sammen med Kora, da hans Tilhængere omkom, idet Ilden fortærede de 250 Mænd, og de blev et Tegn til Advarsel.

And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up them and Core, when their assembly perished, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty, and they were made a sign.

11 Men Koras Sønner omkom ikke.

But the sons of Core died not.

And the sons of Symeon: —the family of the sons of Symeon: to Namuel, [belonged] the family of the Namuelites; to Jamin the family of the Jaminites; to Jachin the family of the Jachinites.

13 fra Zera Zeraiternes Slægt og fra Sjaul Sjauliternes Slægt.

To Zara the family of the Zaraites; to Saul the family of the Saulites.

14 Det var Simeoniternes Slægter, 22200.

These [are] the families of Symeon according to their numbering, two and twenty thousand and two hundred.

15 Gads Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Zefon stammer Zefoniternes Slægt, fra Haggi Haggiternes Slægt, fra Sjuni Sjuniternes Slægt,

And the sons of Juda, Er and Aunan; and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan.

16 fra Ozni Ozniternes Slægt, fra Eti Eriternes Slægt,

And these were the sons of Juda, according to their families: to Selom [belonged] the family of the Selonites; to Phares, the family of the Pharesites; to Zara, the family of the Zaraites.

17 fra Arod Aroditernes Slægt og fra Ar'eli Ar'eliternes Slægt.

And the sons of Phares were, to Asron, the family of the Asronites; to Jamun, the family of the Jamunites.

18 Det var Gads Sønners Slægter, de af dem, som mønstredes, 40500.

These [are] the families of Juda according to their numbering, seventy-six thousand and five hundred.

19 Judas Sønner var Er og Onan. men Er og Onan døde i Kana'ans Land.

And the sons of Issachar according to their families: to Thola, the family of the Tholaites; to Phua, the family of the Phuaites.

20 Judas Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Sjela sammer Sjelaniternes Slægt, fra Perez Pereziternes Slægt og fra Zera Zeraiternes Slægt;

To Jasub, the family of the Jasubites; to Samram, the family of the Samramites.

21 Perezs Sønner: Fra Hezron stammer Heztoniternes Slægt og fra Hamul Hamuliternes Slægt.

These [are] the families of Issachar according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.

22 Det var Judas Slægter, de af dem, som mønstredes, 76500.

The sons of Zabulon according to their families: to Sared, the family of the Saredites; to Allon, the family of the Allonites; to Allel, the family of the Allelites.

23 Issakars Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Tola stammer Tolaiternes Slægt, fra Pua Puniternes Slægt;

These [are] the families of Zabulon according to their numbering, sixty thousand and five hundred.

24 fra Jasjub Jasjubiternes Slægt og fra Sjimron Sjimroniternes Slægt.

The sons of Gad according to their families: to Saphon, the family of the Saphonites; to Angi, the family of the Angites; to Suni, the family of the Sunites;

25 Det var Issakars Slægter, de af dem, som mønstredes, 64 300.

to Azeni, the family of the Azenites; to Addi, the family of the Addites:

26 Zebulons Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Sered stammer Serediternes Slægt, fra Elon Eloniternes Slægt og fra Jale'el Jale'eliternes Slægt.

to Aroadi, the family of the Aroadites; to Ariel, the family of the Arielites.

27 Det var Zebuloniternes Slægter, de af dem, som mønstredes, 60 508

These [are] the families of the children of Gad according to their numbering, forty-four thousand and five hundred.

28 Josefs Sønners Slægter var følgende: Manasse og Efraim;

The sons of Aser according to their families; to Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; to Jesu, the family of the Jesusites; to Baria, the family of the Bariaites.

29 Manasses Sønner: Fra Makir stammer Makiriternes Slægt; Makir avlede Gilead, fra Gilead stammer Gijeaditernes Slægt;

To Chober, the family of the Choberites; to Melchiel, the family of the Melchielites.

30 Gileads Sønner var følgende: Fra Abiezer stammer Abiezriternes Slægt, fra Helek Helekiternes Slægt,

And the name of the daughter of Aser, Sara.

31 fra Asriel Asrieliternes Slægt, fra Sjekem Sjekemiternes Slægt,

These [are] the families of Aser according to their numbering, forty-three thousand and four hundred.

32 fra Sjemida Sjemidaiternes Slægt og fra Hefer Heferiternes Slægt;

The sons of Joseph according to their families, Manasse and Ephraim.

33 men Zelofhad, Hefers Søn, havde ingen Sønner, kun Døtre; Zelofhads Døtre hed Mala, Noa, Hogla, Milka og Tirza.

The sons of Manasse. To Machir the family of the Machirites; and Machir begot Galaad: to Galaad, the family of the Galaadites.

34 Det var Manasses Slægter, og de af dem, som mønstredes, udgjorde 52700.

And these [are] the sons of Galaad; to Achiezer, the family of the Achiezerites; to Cheleg, the family of the Chelegites.

35 Efraims Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Sjutela stammer Sjutelaiternes Slægt, fra Beker Bekeriternes Slægt og fra Tahan Tahaniternes Slægt;

To Esriel, the family of the Esrielites; to Sychem, the family of the Sychemites.

36 Sjultelas Sønner var følgende: Fra Eran stammer Eraniternes Slægt.

To Symaer, the family of the Symaerites; and to Opher, the family of the Opherites.

37 Detvar Efraimiternes Slægter, de af dem, som mønstedes, 32500. Det var Josefs Sønners Slægter.

And to Salpaad the son of Opher there were no sons, but daughters: and these [were] the names of the daughters of Salpaad; Mala, and Nua, and Egla, and Melcha, and Thersa.

38 Benjamins Sønners Slægtervar følgende: Fra Bela stammer Belaiternes Slægt, fra Asjbel Asjbeliternes Slægt, fra Ahiram Ahiramiternes Slægt,

These [are] the families of Manasse according to their numbering, fifty-two thousand and seven hundred.

39 fra Sjufam Sjufamiternes Slægt og fra Hufam Hufamiternes Slægt.

And these [are] the children of Ephraim; to Suthala, the family of the Suthalanites; to Tanach, the family of the Tanachites.

40 Belas Sønner: Ard og Na'aman; fra Ard stammer Arditernes Slægt, fra Na'aman Na'amiteroes Slægt.

These [are] the sons of Suthala; to Eden, the family of the Edenites.

41 Det var Benjamins Sønners Slægter, og de af dem, som mønstredes, udgjorde 45600.

These [are] the families of Ephraim according to their numbering, thirty-two thousand and five hundred: these [are] the families of the children of Joseph according to their families.

42 Dans Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Sjuham stammer. Sjuhamiternes Slægt. Det var Dans Slægter, Slægt for Slægt.

The sons of Benjamin according to their families; to Bale, the family of the Balites; to Asyber, the family of the Asyberites; to Jachiran, the family of the Jachiranites.

43 Alle Sjuhamiternes Slægter, de af dem, som mønstredes, udgjorde 64 400.

To Sophan, the family of the Sophanites.

44 Asers Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Jimna stammer Jimniternes Slægt, fra Jisjvi Jisjviternes Slægt og fra Beri'a Beri'aiternes Slægt;

And the sons of Bale were Adar and Noeman; to Adar, the family of the Adarites; and to Noeman, the family of the Noemanites.

45 fra Beri'as Sønner: Fra Heber stammer Hebriternes Slægt og fra Malkiel Malkieliternes Slægt.

These [are] the sons of Benjamin by their families according to their numbering, thirty-five thousand and five hundred.

46 Asers Datter hed Sera.

And the sons of Dan according to their families; to Same, the family of the Sameites; these [are] the families of Dan according to their families.

47 Det var Asers Sønners Slægter, og de af dem, som mønsttedes, udgjorde 53400.

All the families of Samei according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.

48 Naftalis Sønners Slægter var følgende: Fra Jaze'el stammer Jaze'eliternes Slægt, fra Guni Guniternes Slægt,

The sons of Nephthali according to their families; to Asiel, the family of the Asielites; to Gauni, the family of the Gaunites.

49 fra Jezer Jezeriternes Slægt og fra Sjillem Sjillemiternes Slægt,

To Jeser, the family of the Jeserites; to Sellem, the family of the Sellemites.

50 Det var Naftalis Slægter, Slægt for Slægt, og de af dem, som mønstredes, udgjorde 45400.

These [are] the families of Nephthali, according to their numbering, forty thousand and three hundred.

51 Det var dem af Israeliterne, som mønstredes, 601730.

This [is] the numbering of the children of Israel, six hundred and one thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

52 HERREN talede fremdeles til Moses og sagde:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

53 Til dem skal Landet udskiftes til Arv og Eje efter de optalte Navne.

To these the land shall be divided, so that they may inherit according to the number of the names.

54 En stor Stamme skal du give en stor Arvelod, en lille Stamme en lille; enhver af dem skal der gives en Arvelod efter Tallet på de mønstrede i den.

To the greater number thou shalt give the greater inheritance, and to the less number thou shalt give the less inheritance: to each one, as they have been numbered, shall their inheritance be given.

55 Dog skal Landet udskiftes ved Lodkastning; de skal have deres Arvelodder efter Navnene på deres fædrene Stammer;

The land shall be divided to the names by lot, they shall inherit according to the tribes of their families.

56 ved Lodkastning skal enhver Stamme, stor eller lille, have sin Arvelod tildelt.

Thou shalt divide their inheritance by lot between the many and the few.

57 Følgende er de af Leviterne, der mønstredes, Slægt for Slægt: Fra Gerson stammer Gersoniternes Slægt, fra Kehat Kehatiternes Slægt og fra Merari Merariternes Slægt.

And the sons of Levi according to their families; to Gedson, the family of the Gedsonites; to Caath, the family of the Caathites; to Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 Følgende er Levis Slægter: Libniternes Slægt, Hebroniternes Slægt, Maliternes Slægt, Musjiternes Slægt og Koraiternes Slægt. Kehat avlede Amram.

These [are] the families of the sons of Levi; the family of the Lobenites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Coreites, and the family of the Musites; and Caath begot Amram.

59 Amrams Hustru hed Jokebed, Levis Datter, som fødtes Levi i Ægypten; hun fødte for Amram Aron, Moses og deres Søster Mirjam.

And the name of his wife [was] Jochabed, daughter of Levi, who bore these to Levi in Egypt, and she bore to Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Mariam their sister.

60 For Aron fødtes Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar og Itamar.

And to Aaron were born both Nadab and Abiud, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

61 Men Nadab og Abihu omkom, da de frembar fremmed Ild for HERRENs Åsyn.

And Nadab and Abiud died when they offered strange fire before the Lord in the wilderness of Sina.

62 De af dem, der mønstredes, udgjorde 23000, alle af Mandkøn fra en Måned og opefter. De mønstredes nemlig ikke sammen med de andre Israeliter, da der ikke var givet dem nogen Arvelod blandt Israeliterne.

And there were according to their numbering, twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because they have no inheritance in the midst of the children of Israel.

63 Det var dem, der mønstredes af Moses og Præsten Eleazar, da disse mønstrede Israeliterne på Moabs Sletter ved Jordan over for Jeriko.

And this [is] the numbering of Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in Araboth of Moab, at Jordan by Jericho.

64 Blandt dem var der ingen, som var mønstret af Moses og Præsten Aron, da de mønstrede Israeliterne i Sinaj Ørken;

And among these there was not a man numbered by Moses and Aaron, whom, [even] the children of Israel, they numbered in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 thi HERREN havde sagt til dem, at de skulde dø i Ørkenen. Derfor var der ingen tilbage af dem undtagen Kaleb, Jetunnes Søn, og Josua, Nuns Søn.

For the Lord said to them, They shall surely die in the wilderness; and there was not left even one of them, except Chaleb the son of Jephonne, and Joshua the [son] of Naue.
