Esajas 13
1 Et Udsagn om Babel, som Esajas, Amoz's Søn skuede:
[the] oracle of Babylon which he saw Isaiah [the] son of Amoz.
2 Rejs Banner på et nøgent Bjerg, råb også til dem, vink, så de drager igennem Fyrsternes Porte!
On a mountain swept bare lift up a standard lift up a voice to them wave a hand so they may go [the] doors of noble [people].
3 Jeg har opbudt min viede Hær til at tjene min Vrede og kaldt mine Helte hid, de jublende, stolte.
I I have commanded to consecrated [ones] my also I have summoned warriors my to anger my [the] exultant [ones] of pride my.
4 Hør i Bjergene Larm som af talrigt Krigsfolk, hør, hvor det buldrer af Riger, af samlede Folk! Hærskarers HERRE er ved at mønstre sin Krigshær.
[the] sound of A tumult [is] on the mountains [the] likeness of a people numerous [the] sound of an uproar of kingdoms of nations gathering Yahweh of hosts [is] mustering an army of battle.
5 De kommer fra fjerne Egne, fra Himlens Grænse, HERREN og hans Vredes Værktøj for at hærge al Jorden.
[they are] coming From a land of distance from [the] end of the heavens Yahweh and [the] weapons of indignation his to destroy all the land.
6 Jamrer, thi HERRENs Dag er nær, den kommer som Vold fra den Vældige.
Wail for [is] near [the] day of Yahweh like devastation from [the] Almighty it will come.
7 Derfor slappes hver Hånd, hvert Menneskehjerte smelter,
There-fore all hands they will drop and every heart of a person it will melt.
8 de ræddes, gribes af Veer og Smerter, vånder sig som fødende Kvinde; de stirrer i Angst på hverandre med blussende røde Kinder.
And they will be terrified - pangs and pains they will seize [them]! like [woman] giving birth they will be in anguish! each to neighbor his they will look in astonishment [will be] faces of flames faces their.
9 Se, HERRENs Dag kommer, grum, med Harme og brændende Vrede; Jorden gør den til Ørk og rydder dens Synder bort.
There! [the] day of Yahweh [is] coming a cruel [day] and wrath and burning of anger to make the land a waste and sinners its he will destroy from it.
10 Thi Himlens Stjerner og Billeder udsfråler ej deres Lys, mørk rinder Solen op, og Månen skinner ikke.
For [the] stars of the heavens and constellations their not they will flash forth light their it will be dark the sun when goes forth it and [the] moon not it will make shine light its.
11 Jeg hjemsøger Jorden for dens Ondskab, de gudløse for deres Brøde, gør Ende på frækkes Overmod, bøjer Voldsmænds Hovmod.
And I will visit on [the] world evil and on wicked [people] iniquity their and I will put an end to [the] pride of arrogant [people] and [the] haughtiness of ruthless [people] I will bring low.
12 En Mand gør jeg sjældnere end Guld og et Menneske end Ofirs Guld.
I will make precious humankind more than pure gold and humankind more than [the] gold of Ophir.
13 Derfor bæver Himlen, og Jorden flytter sig skælvende ved Hærskarers HERREs Harme på hans brændende Vredes Dag.
There-fore heaven I will make tremble and it may shake the earth from place its in [the] wrath of Yahweh of hosts and in [the] day of [the] burning of anger his.
14 Og som en skræmt Gazel, som Får, der ej holdes i Flok, skal hver søge hjem til sit Folk, og hver skal fly til sit Land.
And it will be like a gazelle hunted and like sheep and there not [will be one who] gathers everyone to own people his they will turn and everyone to own land his they will flee.
15 Enhver, der indhentes, spiddes, enhver, der gribes, falder for Sværdet;
Every [one who] is found he will be pierced through and every [one who] is captured he will fall by the sword.
16 deres spæde knuses for deres Øjne, Husene plyndres, Kvinderne skændes.
And children their they will be dashed in pieces to eyes their they will be plundered houses their and wives their (they will be lain with. *QK)
17 Se, imod dem rejser jeg Mederne, som agter Sølv for intet og ej regner Guld for noget.
Here I [am] about to rouse on them Media who silver not they value and gold not they delight in it.
18 Deres Buer fælder de unge, Livsfrugt skåner de ej, med Børn har deres Øjne ej Medynk.
And bows youths they will dash in pieces and [the] fruit of [the] womb not they will have compassion on on children not it will look with pity eye their.
19 Det går med Babel, Rigernes Krone, Kaldæernes stolte Pryd, som dengang Gud omstyrtede Sodoma og Gomorra.
And it will be Babylon [the] beauty of kingdoms [the] splendor of [the] pride of [the] Chaldeans like [the] overthrow of God Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 Det skal aldrig i Evighed bebos, ej bebygges fra Slægt til Slægt; der telter Araberen ikke, der lejrer Hyrder sig ej;
Not it will remain to perpetuity and not it will settle until a generation and a generation and not he will pitch a tent there an Arab and shepherds not they will make lie down there.
21 men Vildkatte lejrer sig der, og Husene fyldes med Ugler; der holder Strudsene til, og Bukketroldene springer;
And they will lie down there desert-dwellers and they will be full houses their jackals and they will dwell there daughters of an ostrich and goats they will leap about there.
22 Sjakaler tuder i Borgene, Hyæner i de yppige Slotte. Dets Time stunder nu til, dets Dage bliver ej mange.
And it will sing hyenas in palaces its and jackals in [the] palaces of delight and [is] near to go time its and days its not they will be prolonged.
