Filipským 2
1 Protož jestli jaké potěšení v Kristu, jestli které utěšení lásky, jestli která společnost Ducha, jsou-li která střeva a slitování,
If, therefore, there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort arising from love, if any participation of the Spirit, if any affections and mercies,
2 Naplňte radost mou, abyste jednostejného smyslu byli, jednostejnou lásku majíce, jednodušní jsouce, jednostejně smýšlejíce,
fulfill my joy, that you be of the same mind, having the same love, of one soul, of one mind;
3 Nic nečiníce skrze svár aneb marnou chválu, ale v pokoře jedni druhé za důstojnější nežli sebe majíce.
doing nothing in strife and vain glory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
4 Nehledejte jeden každý jen svých věcí, ale každý také toho, což jest jiných.
Consider not each one his own gifts, but each one also the gifts of others.
5 To tedy, ciťte při sobě, co i při Kristu Ježíši.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 Kterýž jsa v způsobu Božím, nepoložil sobě toho za loupež rovný býti Bohu,
who, being in the form of God, did not think it an act of robbery to be equal with God;
7 Ale samého sebe zmařil, způsob služebníka přijav, podobný lidem učiněn.
but he divested himself by taking the form of a servant, and being made in the likeness of men:
8 A v způsobu nalezen jako člověk, ponížil se, poslušný byv až do smrti, a to smrti kříže.
and being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient even to death, the death, indeed, of the cross.
9 Protož i Bůh povýšil ho nade vše, a dal jemu jméno nad každé jméno,
For which reason God has highly exalted him, and, also, bestowed on him a name that is above every name;
10 Aby ve jménu Ježíše každé koleno klekalo, těch, kteříž jsou na nebesích, a těch, kteříž jsou na zemi, i těch, kteříž jsou pod zemí,
that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those who are in heaven, and those who are on earth, and those who are under the earth;
11 A každý jazyk aby vyznával, že Ježíš Kristus jest Pánem v slávě Boha Otce.
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 A tak, moji milí, jakož jste vždycky poslušni byli, netoliko v přítomnosti mé, ale nyní mnohem více v nepřítomnosti mé, s bázní a s třesením spasení své konejte.
So, then, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13 Bůh zajisté jest, kterýž působí v vás i chtění i skutečné činění, podlé dobře libé vůle své.
for it is God, who, of his good pleasure, works in you both the will and the power to perform.
14 Všecko čiňte bez reptání, a bez pochybování,
Do all things without murmurings and disputings,
15 Abyste byli bez úhony, a upřímí synové Boží, bez obvinění u prostřed národu zlého a převráceného. Mezi kterýmižto svěťte jako světla na světě,
that you may be without reproach and Harmless, the children of God, without blame, in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as luminaries in the world,
16 Slovo života zachovávajíce, ku poctivosti mé v den Kristův, že jsem ne nadarmo běžel, ani nadarmo pracoval.
holding forth the word of life, that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, nor labor in vain.
17 A bychť pak i obětován byl pro obět a službu víře vaší, raduji se, a spolu raduji se se všechněmi vámi.
But if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.
18 A též i vy radujte se, a spolu radujte se se mnou.
In like manner do you also rejoice, and rejoice with me.
19 Mámť pak naději v Pánu Ježíši, že Timotea brzy pošli vám, abych i já pokojné mysli byl, zvěda, kterak vy se máte.
But I trust in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy shortly to you, that I also may be refreshed by knowing your condition;
20 Nebo žádného tak jednomyslného nemám, kterýž by tak vlastně o vaše věci pečoval.
for I have no one of a kindred spirit who will sincerely care for your condition:
21 Všickni zajisté svých věcí hledají, a ne těch, kteréž jsou Krista Ježíše.
for all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.
22 Ale jej zkušeného býti víte, že jako syn s otcem, se mnou přisluhoval v evangelium.
But you know his approved character, that as a son with a father he has served with me in the gospel.
23 Tohoť hle, naději mám, že pošli, jakž jen uzřím, co se bude díti se mnou.
Him, therefore, I hope to send immediately, as soon as I know how it may go with me.
24 Mámť pak naději v Pánu, že i sám brzo přijdu k vám.
But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.
25 Ale zdálo se mi za potřebné Epafrodita, bratra a pomocníka a spolurytíře mého, vašeho pak apoštola i služebníka, v potřebě mé poslati k vám,
Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and companion in labor and fellow-soldier, but your apostle, who also ministered to my want,
26 Poněvadž toužil po všech vás, a velmi těžek nad tím byl, že jste o něm slyšeli, že by byl nemocen.
because he longed after you all, and was much distressed, because you had heard that he was sick.
27 A bylť jistě nemocen, i blízek smrti, ale Bůh se nad ním smiloval, a ne nad ním toliko, ale i nade mnou, abych zámutku na zámutek neměl.
And, indeed, he was sick near to death; but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 Protož tím chtivěji poslal jsem ho, abyste, vidouce jej zase, radovali se, a já abych byl bez zámutku.
I sent him, therefore, the sooner, that, by seeing him again, you might rejoice, and that I might be the less sorrowful.
29 Přijmětež jej tedy v Pánu se vší radostí, a mějtež takové v poctivosti.
Receive him, therefore, in the Lord with all joy, and regard such as worthy of honor;
30 Neboť pro dílo Kristovo až k smrti se přiblížil, opováživ se života, aby doplnil to, v čemž jste vy měli nedostatek při posloužení mně.
because for the work of the Christ he was near to death, not regarding his life, that he might supply that which was lacking in your service to me.
