1 ⲁ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲁϥⲙⲁⲥⲧⲓⲅⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ
So Pilate [Armed with javelin] then took Yeshua [Salvation], and flogged him.
2 ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲧ ⲟⲩⲕⲗⲟⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛϣⲟⲛⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ⲁⲩϯ ϩⲓⲱⲱϥ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲛϫⲏϭⲉ
The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown, and put it on his head, and dressed him in a purple garment.
3 ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲛⲏⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲭⲁⲓⲣⲉ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϯ ⲁⲁⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲡⲉ
They kept saying, “Hail, King of the Jews [Praisers]!” and they kept slapping him.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲛⲧϥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛϯϭⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲁⲓⲧⲓⲁ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
Then Pilate [Armed with javelin] went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him.”
5 ⲉ̅ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲕⲗⲟⲙ ⲛϣⲟⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲓϫⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲛϫⲏϭⲉ ϩⲓⲱⲱϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to them, “Behold, the man!”
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϫⲓⲧϥ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϯϩⲏⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲗⲟⲓϭⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify!” Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to them, “Take him yourselves, and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him.”
7 ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ϣϣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲙⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲁⲁϥ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
The Jews answered him, “We have a law (of God), and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·.”
8 ⲏ̅ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲡⲉⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ
When therefore Pilate [Armed with javelin] heard this saying, he was more afraid.
9 ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲡⲣⲁⲓⲧⲱⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲕ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲛⲧⲟⲕ ⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛⲁϥ
He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Yeshua [Salvation], “Where are you from?” But Yeshua [Salvation] gave him no answer.
10 ⲓ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲅⲛⲁϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲅⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲛϯ ⲧⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲛϯ ⲧⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲕⲁⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
Pilate [Armed with javelin] therefore said to him, “Are not you speaking to me? Don’t you know that I have power to release you, and have power to crucify you?”
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲛⲧⲕ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲉⲓ ⲉⲓⲙⲏⲧⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲁⲥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲁⲧ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ ⲟⲩⲛⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ
Yeshua [Salvation] answered, “You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin.”
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲕϣⲁⲛⲕⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧⲕ ⲡⲉ ϣⲃⲏⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉϯⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲣⲣⲟ ⲉϥϯ ⲟⲩⲃⲉ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ
At this, Pilate [Armed with javelin] was seeking to release him, but the Jews [Praisers] cried out, saying, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s [Ruler]’s friend! Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar [Ruler]!”
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲛⲉⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲁϥⲑⲙⲥⲟϥ ⲉⲡⲃⲏⲙⲁ ⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲗⲓⲑⲟⲥⲧⲣⲱⲧⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲛⲧϩⲉⲃⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲅⲁⲃⲃⲁⲑⲁ
When Pilate [Armed with javelin] therefore heard these words, he brought Yeshua [Salvation] out, and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called “The Pavement,” but in Hebrew [Immigrant], “Gabbatha.”
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲛⲉⲡⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲡ ⲥⲟⲟ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲥⲕⲉⲩⲏ ⲙⲡⲡⲁⲥⲭⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣⲣⲟ
Now it was the Preparation Day for Pesac ·Passover· (Nissan 14), at about three o'clock in the afternoon. He said to the Jews [Praisers], “Behold, your King!”
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ϥⲓⲧϥ ϥⲓⲧϥ ⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣⲣⲟ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲛⲧⲛ ⲕⲉⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲓⲙⲏⲧⲓ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲕⲁⲓⲥⲁⲣ
They cried out, “Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!” Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar [Ruler]!”
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲛⲧϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
So then he delivered him to them to be nailed to the execution-stake. So they took Yeshua [Salvation] and led him away.
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥϥⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥ⳨ⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲉⲩⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲛⲧϩⲉⲃⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲅⲟⲗⲅⲟⲑ
He went out, bearing his execution-stake, to the place called “Skull,” which is called in Hebrew [Immigrant], “Golgotha [Place of skull],”
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲕⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲓⲥⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲙⲏⲧⲉ
where they nailed him to the stake, and with him two others, on either side one, and Yeshua [Salvation] in the middle.
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲥϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲧⲓⲧⲗⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲟϭϥ ⲉⲡⲉⲥ⳨ⲟⲥ ⲛⲉϥ ⲥⲏϩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲛⲁⲍⲱⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ
Pilate [Armed with javelin] wrote a title also, and put it on the execution-stake. There was written, “Yeshua of nazareth [Salvation of Branch, Separated one], The King of The Jews [Praisers].”
20 ⲕ̅ ⲡⲉⲓⲧⲓⲧⲗⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϩⲁϩ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲟϣϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥϩⲏⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲏϩ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲙⲙⲛⲧϩⲉⲃⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲛⲧϩⲣⲱⲙⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲟⲩⲉⲓⲉⲛⲓⲛ
Therefore many of the Jews [Praisers] read this title, for the place where Yeshua [Salvation] was executed on the stake was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew [Immigrant], in Latin, and in Greek.
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ϭⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲥⲁϩϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϫⲉ ⲡⲏⲏ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ
The chief priests of the Jews [Praisers] therefore said to Pilate [Armed with javelin], “Don’t write, ‘The King of the Jews [Praisers],’ but, ‘he said, I am King of the Jews [Praisers].’”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲥⲁⲓϩϥ ⲁⲓⲥⲁⲓϩϥ
Pilate [Armed with javelin] answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲡⲉϥϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲁⲁϥ ⲛϥⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲕⲉϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲧⲉϣⲧⲏⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲥⲧⲟⲣⲡ ⲁⲛ ⲉϫⲱⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛⲉⲩⲥⲁϩ ϥⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲉ
Then the soldiers, when they had nailed Yeshua [Salvation] to the stake, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the coat. Now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.
24 ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲧⲣⲉⲛⲡⲁϩⲥ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁⲣⲛⲉⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲥⲛⲁⲣ ⲧⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲡⲉϣ ⲛⲁϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲛⲉϫ ⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲥ ⲉϫⲛ ⲧⲁϩⲃⲥⲱ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲁⲩⲣ ⲛⲁⲓ
Then they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, “They divided my garments among them. For my cloak they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.
25 ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲁϩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲧⲙ ⲡⲉⲥ⳨ⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲥⲱⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲧϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲕⲗⲱⲡⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲁⲣⲓⲁ ⲧⲙⲁⲅⲇⲁⲗⲏⲛⲏ
But there were standing by the execution-stake of Yeshua [Salvation] his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary [Rebellion] the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala [Rebellion of City tower].
26 ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ ⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲟⲩϣⲏⲣⲉ
Therefore when Yeshua [Salvation] saw his mother, and the disciple whom he felt agapao ·totally devoted love· for standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
27 ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ ⲉⲓⲧⲁ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲙⲡⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲁⲁⲩ ϫⲓⲛ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲡⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲓⲧⲥ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲉⲓ
Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.
28 ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ϫⲱⲕ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϯⲟⲃⲉ
After this, Yeshua [Salvation], seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty.”
29 ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲛⲁⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲏ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϥⲙⲉϩ ⲛϩⲙϫ ⲟⲩⲥⲡⲟⲅⲅⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲉϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲙϫ ⲁⲩⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩϩⲩⲥⲥⲱⲡⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲥⲟⲟⲩⲧⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ
Now a vessel full of vinegar was set; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.
30 ⲗ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡϩⲙϫ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲣⲓⲕⲉ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲁⲡⲉ ⲁϥϯ ⲙⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ
When Yeshua [Salvation] therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished.” He bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.
31 ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲥⲕⲉⲩⲏ ⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϭⲱ ϩⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲥ⳨ⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲥⲉⲡⲥ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉⲟⲩⲱϭⲡ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲥⲉϥⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ
Therefore the Jews [Praisers], because it was the Preparation Day (Nissan 14), so that the bodies would not remain on the execution-stake on the festival Sabbath ·To cease· (for that Sabbath ·To cease· was a special one), asked of Pilate [Armed with javelin] that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲉϭⲡ ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ ⲙⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩ ⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ
Therefore the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was placed on execution-stakes with him;
33 ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉϫⲛ ⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲁϥⲟⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲟⲩⲉϭⲡ ⲛⲉϥⲟⲩⲉⲣⲏⲧⲉ
but when they came to Yeshua [Salvation], and saw that he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs.
34 ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲧⲟⲓ ⲁϥⲕⲱⲛⲥ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲥⲡⲓⲣ ⲛⲟⲩⲗⲟⲅⲭⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲟⲩⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩ
However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
35 ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲣ ⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉϥϫⲉ ⲙⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ϩⲱⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ
He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is trutheree. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.
36 ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ ⲛⲧⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲩⲕⲁⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲟⲩⲱϣϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
For these things happened, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, “Not one of his bones will be broken.”
37 ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲛ ⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲕⲟⲛⲥϥ
Again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they pierced.”
38 ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲥⲉⲡⲥ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ ⲡⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲁⲣⲓⲙⲁⲑⲁⲓⲁ ⲉⲩⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲓⲥ ⲉϥϩⲏⲡ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲑⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϥⲓ ⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲕⲁⲁϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲓⲗⲁⲧⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϥⲓ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲱⲙⲁ
After these things, Joseph [May he add] of Arimathaea [May he add of Lofty place], being a disciple of Yeshua [Salvation], but secretly for fear of the Jews [Praisers], asked of Pilate [Armed with javelin] that he might take away Yeshua [Salvation]'s body. Pilate [Armed with javelin] gave him permission. He came therefore and took away his body.
39 ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲟⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲓⲕⲟⲇⲏⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲉⲓ ϣⲁ ⲓⲥ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲛⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲁϥⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲓⲅⲙⲁ ⲛϣⲁⲗ ϩⲓ ⲁⲗⲗⲱⲓ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲣ ϣⲉ ⲛⲗⲓⲧⲣⲁ
Nicodemus [Victory people], who at first came to Yeshua [Salvation] by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred Roman [Person from Town of flowing waters] pounds.
40 ⲙ̅ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲣϥ ⲛϩⲉⲛϩⲃⲱⲱⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲛⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ⲉⲕⲟⲟⲥⲟⲩ
So they took Yeshua [Salvation]'s body, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Jews [Praisers] is to bury.
41 ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲛⲏ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥ⳨ⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲧⲁⲫⲟⲥ ⲛⲃⲣⲣⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϣⲛⲏ ⲉⲙⲡⲁⲧⲟⲩⲕⲁ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
Now in the place where he was executed on the stake there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no man had ever yet been laid.
42 ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲥⲕⲉⲩⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲓⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲧⲁⲫⲟⲥ ϩⲏⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲩⲕⲁ ⲓⲥ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
Then because of the Judean [Person from Praise] Preparation Day (Nissan 14) (for the tomb was near at hand) they laid Yeshua [Salvation] there.
