1 ⲁ̅ ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲧⲛⲉⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁϣ ⲛϭⲟⲧ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲅⲱⲛ ⲉϯⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϩⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϩⲛ ⲗⲁⲟⲇⲓⲕⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲁϩⲟ ϩⲛ ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ
For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 ⲃ̅ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲁϫⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲙⲛⲧⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲙⲡⲧⲱⲧ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲉⲡⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲡⲙⲩⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Messiah,
3 ⲅ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁϩⲱⲱⲣ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲩϩⲏⲡ
in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.
4 ⲇ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲓϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲣϩⲁⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ϩⲛ ϩⲉⲛϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲱⲟⲩ
Now I say this that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.
5 ⲉ̅ ⲉϣϫⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲛϯϩⲁⲧⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϯⲛⲙⲙⲏⲧⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲛⲁ ⲉⲉⲓⲣⲁϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲉⲓϭⲱϣⲧ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁⲝⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲉⲧϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲭⲥ
For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, rejoicing and seeing your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Messiah.
6 ⲋ̅ ⲛⲑⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
As therefore you received Messiah Yeshua the Lord, walk in him,
7 ⲍ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩⲕⲱⲧ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁϫⲣⲏⲩ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲣϩⲟⲩⲟ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ
rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it in thanksgiving.
8 ⲏ̅ ϭⲱϣⲧ ⲙⲏⲡⲱⲥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲁ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉϥϣⲱⲗ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲫⲓⲗⲟⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲁⲡⲁⲧⲏ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲩⲉⲓⲧ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲟⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲉⲥⲧⲟⲓⲭⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲛⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲁⲛ
Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elemental spirits of the world, and not after Messiah.
9 ⲑ̅ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡϫⲱⲕ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲥⲱⲙⲁⲧⲓⲕⲱⲥ
For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily,
10 ⲓ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϫⲏⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲁⲡⲉ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲛⲓⲙ ϩⲓ ⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ
and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power.
11 ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲥⲃⲃⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲃⲃⲉ ⲁϫⲛ ϭⲓϫ ϩⲙ ⲡⲕⲱⲕⲁϩⲏⲩ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ ϩⲙ ⲡⲥⲃⲃⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ
In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Messiah,
12 ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ ⲉⲁⲩⲧⲉⲙⲥ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲅⲓⲁ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ
having been buried with him in immersion, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
13 ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲁⲡⲧⲱⲙⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲁⲧⲥⲃⲃⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲛϩⲉⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛⲙⲙⲁϥ ⲉⲁϥⲕⲱ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲡⲁⲣⲁⲡⲧⲱⲙⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
14 ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ ⲉⲁϥϥⲱⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲭⲓⲣⲟⲅⲣⲁⲫⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϩⲛ ⲛⲇⲟⲅⲙⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲛⲉϥϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲛ ⲁϥϥⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲁϥⲱϥⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ
wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us. He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross.
15 ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ⲉⲁϥⲕⲁⲁϥⲕⲁϩⲏⲩ ⲛⲛⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲁϥⲧϫⲁⲉⲓⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣϩⲏⲥⲓⲁ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ
Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ ⲙⲡⲣⲧⲣⲉ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲙⲱⲧⲛ ⲏ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲏ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲱ ⲏ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲛϣⲁ ⲏ ⲛⲥⲟⲩⲁ ⲏ ⲛⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ
Let no one therefore judge you in eating or drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,
17 ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛϩⲁⲓⲃⲉⲥ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲭⲥ
which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Messiah’s.
18 ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲙⲡⲣⲧⲣⲉ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲃⲉⲣⲉ ⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟ ⲙⲛ ⲡϣⲙϣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲉⲓⲕⲏ ⲉϥϫⲟⲥⲉ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲥⲁⲣⲝ
Let no one rob you of your prize by self-abasement and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲛϥⲁⲙⲁϩⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲉ ⲧⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ϫⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲣⲁ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲙⲣⲣⲉ ⲉⲩⲕⲱⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϥⲁⲓⲁⲓ ϥⲁⲩⲝⲁⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲝⲏⲥⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth.
20 ⲕ̅ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲙⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲉⲭⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲥⲧⲟⲓⲭⲓⲟⲛ ⲙⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲁϩⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲇⲟⲅⲙⲁⲧⲓⲍⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲛϩ
If you died with Messiah from the elemental spirits of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,
21 ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ ⲙⲡⲣϫⲱϩ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲣϫⲓϯⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲣϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ
“Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch”
22 ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉⲩⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲥⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛϩⲱⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ
(all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men?
23 ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲩⲛⲧⲁⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲛϣⲙϣⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟ ⲙⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧⲁⲧϯⲥⲟ ⲙⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϯⲙⲏ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲡⲥⲉⲓ ⲛⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ
These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, humility, and severity to the body, but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
