士師記 16
1 參孫到了迦薩，在那裏看見一個妓女，就與她親近。
And Samson went to Gaza, and saw there a harlot, and went in unto her.
2 有人告訴迦薩人說：「參孫到這裏來了！」他們就把他團團圍住，終夜在城門悄悄埋伏，說：「等到天亮我們便殺他。」
And it was told the Gazites, saying: 'Samson is come hither.' And they compassed him in, and lay in wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying: 'Let be till morning light, then we will kill him.'
3 參孫睡到半夜，起來，將城門的門扇、門框、門閂，一齊拆下來，扛在肩上，扛到希伯崙前的山頂上。
And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and laid hold of the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and plucked them up, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of the mountain that is before Hebron.
4 後來，參孫在梭烈谷喜愛一個婦人，名叫大利拉。
And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
5 非利士人的首領上去見那婦人，對她說：「求你誆哄參孫，探探他因何有這麼大的力氣，我們用何法能勝他，捆綁剋制他。我們就每人給你一千一百舍客勒銀子。」
And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her: 'Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.'
6 大利拉對參孫說：「求你告訴我，你因何有這麼大的力氣，當用何法捆綁剋制你。」
And Delilah said to Samson: 'Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.'
7 參孫回答說：「人若用七條未乾的青繩子捆綁我，我就軟弱像別人一樣。」
And Samson said unto her: 'If they bind me with seven fresh bowstrings that were never dried, then shall I become weak, and be as any other man.'
8 於是非利士人的首領拿了七條未乾的青繩子來，交給婦人，她就用繩子捆綁參孫。
Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven fresh bowstrings which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.
9 有人預先埋伏在婦人的內室裏。婦人說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」參孫就掙斷繩子，如掙斷經火的麻線一般。這樣，他力氣的根由人還是不知道。
Now she had liers-in-wait abiding in the inner chamber. And she said unto him: 'The Philistines are upon thee, Samson.' And he broke the bowstrings as a string of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
10 大利拉對參孫說：「你欺哄我，向我說謊言。現在求你告訴我當用何法捆綁你。」
And Delilah said unto Samson: 'Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies; now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.'
11 參孫回答說：「人若用沒有使過的新繩捆綁我，我就軟弱像別人一樣。」
And he said unto her: 'If they only bind me with new ropes wherewith no work hath been done, then shall I become weak, and be as any other man.'
12 大利拉就用新繩捆綁他，對他說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」有人預先埋伏在內室裏。參孫將臂上的繩掙斷了，如掙斷一條線一樣。
So Delilah took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him: 'The Philistines are upon thee, Samson.' And the liers-in-wait were abiding in the inner chamber. And he broke them from off his arms like a thread.
13 大利拉對參孫說：「你到如今還是欺哄我，向我說謊言。求你告訴我，當用何法捆綁你。」參孫回答說：「你若將我頭上的七條髮綹，與緯線同織就可以了。」
And Delilah said unto Samson: 'Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies; tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound.' And he said unto her: 'If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.'
14 於是大利拉將他的髮綹與緯線同織，用橛子釘住，對他說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」參孫從睡中醒來，將機上的橛子和緯線一齊都拔出來了。
And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him: 'The Philistines are upon thee, Samson.' And he awoke out of his sleep, and plucked away the pin of the beam, and the web.
15 大利拉對參孫說：「你既不與我同心，怎麼說你愛我呢？你這三次欺哄我，沒有告訴我，你因何有這麼大的力氣。」
And she said unto him: 'How canst thou say: I love thee, when thy heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.'
16 大利拉天天用話催逼他，甚至他心裏煩悶要死。
And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, that his soul was vexed unto death.
17 參孫就把心中所藏的都告訴了她，對她說：「向來人沒有用剃頭刀剃我的頭，因為我自出母胎就歸上帝作拿細耳人；若剃了我的頭髮，我的力氣就離開我，我便軟弱像別人一樣。」
And he told her all his heart, and said unto her: 'There hath not come a razor upon my head; for I have been a Nazirite unto God from my mother's womb; if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.'
18 大利拉見他把心中所藏的都告訴了她，就打發人到非利士人的首領那裏，對他們說：「他已經把心中所藏的都告訴了我，請你們再上來一次。」於是非利士人的首領手裏拿着銀子，上到婦人那裏。
And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying: 'Come up this once, for he hath told me all his heart.' Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought the money in their hand.
19 大利拉使參孫枕着她的膝睡覺，叫了一個人來剃除他頭上的七條髮綹。於是大利拉剋制他，他的力氣就離開他了。
And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and had the seven locks of his head shaven off; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
20 大利拉說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」參孫從睡中醒來，心裏說：「我要像前幾次出去活動身體」；他卻不知道耶和華已經離開他了。
And she said: 'The Philistines are upon thee, Samson.' And he awoke out of his sleep, and said: 'I will go out as at other times, and shake myself.' But he knew not that the LORD was departed from him.
21 非利士人將他拿住，剜了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鍊拘索他；他就在監裏推磨。
And the Philistines laid hold on him, and put out his eyes; and they brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison-house.
22 然而他的頭髮被剃之後，又漸漸長起來了。
Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.
23 非利士人的首領聚集，要給他們的神大袞獻大祭，並且歡樂，因為他們說：「我們的神將我們的仇敵參孫交在我們手中了。」
And the lords of the Philistines gathered them together to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice; for they said: 'Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.'
24 眾人看見參孫，就讚美他們的神說：「我們的神將毀壞我們地、殺害我們許多人的仇敵交在我們手中了。」
And when the people saw him, they praised their god; for they said: 'Our god hath delivered into our hand our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, who hath slain many of us.'
25 他們正宴樂的時候，就說：「叫參孫來，在我們面前戲耍戲耍。」於是將參孫從監裏提出來，他就在眾人面前戲耍。他們使他站在兩柱中間。
And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said: 'Call for Samson, that he may make us sport.' And they called for Samson out of the prison-house; and he made sport before them; and they set him between the pillars.
26 參孫向拉他手的童子說：「求你讓我摸着托房的柱子，我要靠一靠。」
And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand: 'Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house resteth, that I may lean upon them.'
27 那時房內充滿男女，非利士人的眾首領也都在那裏。房的平頂上約有三千男女觀看參孫戲耍。
Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.
28 參孫求告耶和華說：「主耶和華啊，求你眷念我。上帝啊，求你賜我這一次的力量，使我在非利士人身上報那剜我雙眼的仇。」
And Samson called unto the LORD, and said: 'O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray Thee, and strengthen me, I pray Thee, only this once, O God, that I may be this once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.'
29 參孫就抱住托房的那兩根柱子：左手抱一根，右手抱一根，
And Samson took fast hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house rested, and leaned upon them, the one with his right hand, and the other with his left.
30 說：「我情願與非利士人同死！」就盡力屈身，房子倒塌，壓住首領和房內的眾人。這樣，參孫死時所殺的人比活着所殺的還多。
And Samson said: 'Let me die with the Philistines.' And he bent with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead that he slew at his death were more than they that he slew in his life.
31 參孫的弟兄和他父的全家都下去取他的屍首，抬上來葬在瑣拉和以實陶中間，在他父瑪挪亞的墳墓裏。參孫作以色列的士師二十年。
Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the burying-place of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.
