出埃及記 14
1 耶和華曉諭摩西說：
Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 「你吩咐以色列人轉回，安營在比‧哈希錄前，密奪和海的中間，對着巴力‧洗分，靠近海邊安營。
"Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and camp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal Zephon. You shall camp opposite it by the sea.
3 法老必說：『以色列人在地中繞迷了，曠野把他們困住了。』
Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, 'They are wandering in the land. The wilderness has boxed them in.'
4 我要使法老的心剛硬，他要追趕他們，我便在法老和他全軍身上得榮耀；埃及人就知道我是耶和華。」於是以色列人這樣行了。
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them. And I will gain glory because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD." And they did so.
5 有人告訴埃及王說：「百姓逃跑。」法老和他的臣僕就向百姓變心，說：「我們容以色列人去，不再服事我們，這做的是甚麼事呢？」
And when the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people, and they said, "What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?"
6 法老就預備他的車輛，帶領軍兵同去，
Then he made ready his chariot, and took his army with him;
7 並帶着六百輛特選的車和埃及所有的車，每輛都有車兵長。
and he took six hundred select chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and officers over all of them.
8 耶和華使埃及王法老的心剛硬，他就追趕以色列人，因為以色列人是昂然無懼地出埃及。
And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel; and the children of Israel were going out triumphantly.
9 埃及人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、車輛、馬兵，與軍兵就在海邊上，靠近比‧哈希錄，對着巴力‧洗分，在他們安營的地方追上了。
And the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal Zephon.
10 法老臨近的時候，以色列人舉目看見埃及人趕來，就甚懼怕，向耶和華哀求。
When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and look, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they were very afraid. So the children of Israel cried out to the LORD.
11 他們對摩西說：「難道在埃及沒有墳地，你把我們帶來死在曠野嗎？你為甚麼這樣待我們，將我們從埃及領出來呢？
And they said to Moses, "Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?
12 我們在埃及豈沒有對你說過，不要攪擾我們，容我們服事埃及人嗎？因為服事埃及人比死在曠野還好。」
Isn't this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, 'Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians?' For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness."
13 摩西對百姓說：「不要懼怕，只管站住！看耶和華今天向你們所要施行的救恩。因為，你們今天所看見的埃及人必永遠不再看見了。
But Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid, stand still, and see the salvation of God, which he will work for you today, for the Egyptians you see today, you will never, ever see again.
14 耶和華必為你們爭戰；你們只管靜默，不要作聲。」
The LORD will fight for you, and you must be still."
15 耶和華對摩西說：「你為甚麼向我哀求呢？你吩咐以色列人往前走。
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
16 你舉手向海伸杖，把水分開。以色列人要下海中走乾地。
And as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the children of Israel will go through the midst of the sea on dry ground.
17 我要使埃及人的心剛硬，他們就跟着下去。我要在法老和他的全軍、車輛、馬兵上得榮耀。
And as for me, look, I am going to harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them, and I will receive glory over Pharaoh and all his army, his chariots and his horsemen.
18 我在法老和他的車輛、馬兵上得榮耀的時候，埃及人就知道我是耶和華了。」
Then the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I receive glory over Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen."
19 在以色列營前行走上帝的使者，轉到他們後邊去；雲柱也從他們前邊轉到他們後邊立住。
And the angel of God who was going in front of the camp of Israel moved and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from in front of them and stood behind them.
20 在埃及營和以色列營中間有雲柱，一邊黑暗，一邊發光，終夜兩下不得相近。
So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness and it lit up the night so that the one did not come near the other all night.
21 摩西向海伸杖，耶和華便用大東風，使海水一夜退去，水便分開，海就成了乾地。
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the LORD pushed the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and made the sea into dry land, so the waters were divided.
22 以色列人下海中走乾地，水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
Then the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right and on their left.
23 埃及人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、車輛，和馬兵都跟着下到海中。
And the Egyptians pursued and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all of Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
24 到了晨更的時候，耶和華從雲火柱中向埃及的軍兵觀看，使埃及的軍兵混亂了；
And it happened, in the morning watch, that the LORD looked down on the Egyptian camp through the pillar of fire and cloud and threw the camp into confusion.
25 又使他們的車輪脫落，難以行走，以致埃及人說：「我們從以色列人面前逃跑吧！因耶和華為他們攻擊我們了。」
And he bound their chariot wheels so that they drove them with difficulty. And the Egyptians said, "Let's flee from before Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egypt."
26 耶和華對摩西說：「你向海伸杖，叫水仍合在埃及人並他們的車輛、馬兵身上。」
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, so that the waters may flow back on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen."
27 摩西就向海伸杖，到了天一亮，海水仍舊復原。埃及人避水逃跑的時候，耶和華把他們推翻在海中，
So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal state at daybreak. Now the Egyptians were trying to escape from it, but the LORD shook off the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
28 水就回流，淹沒了車輛和馬兵。那些跟着以色列人下海法老的全軍，連一個也沒有剩下。
Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea. None of them survived.
29 以色列人卻在海中走乾地；水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
But the children of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
30 當日，耶和華這樣拯救以色列人脫離埃及人的手，以色列人看見埃及人的死屍都在海邊了。
Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the power of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
31 以色列人看見耶和華向埃及人所行的大事，就敬畏耶和華，又信服他和他的僕人摩西。
When Israel saw the great power which the LORD used against the Egyptians, then the people feared the LORD, and they believed God and his servant Moses.
