民數記 30

1 梅瑟訓示以色列子民各支派的首領說：「這是上主所吩咐的：

And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded.

2 若人向上主許願，或發誓戒絕什麼，他不可食言，應全照口中所的去做。

If a man shall vow a vow to the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.

3 那還在父家的年輕女子，若人向上主許願，或發願戒絕什麼，

If a woman also shall vow a vow to the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth;

4 她父親聽到了她許的願和她發誓戒絕的事，卻對她未發一言，她許的願和她所發的戒誓，概為有效。

And her father shall hear her vow, and her bond by which she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond by which she hath bound her soul shall stand.

5 但是，如果她父親在聽到的那天，禁止了她，她所許的願和所發的戒誓，概不生效；上主必寬恕她，因為她父親禁了止了她。

But if her father shall overrule her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds by which she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father overruled her.

6 如果她有權在身，或口中冒然發了戒絕某事的誓，而已出嫁，

And if she had an husband, when she vowed, or uttered any thing from her lips, by which she bound her soul;

7 她丈夫聽說了，在聽說的那天，對她未發一言，她的願和她所說的戒誓，仍為有效；

And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds by which she bound her soul shall stand.

8 但是，如果她丈夫在聽說的那天，禁止了她，他就取消了她許的願，和口中冒然所發的戒誓，上主也必寬恕她。

But if her husband overruled her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make of no effect her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, by which she bound her soul: and the LORD shall forgive her.

9 寡婦或棄婦所許的願，或她所發的戒誓，概為有丈夫效。

But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, by which they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.

10 但是，如果她尚在丈夫家內許了願，或發誓要戒絕什麼，

And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;

11 若她丈夫聽說了，未發一言，沒有禁止她，她的願仍為有效，她所發的戒誓，亦為有效。

And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and overruled her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond by which she bound her soul shall stand.

12 但是，如果她的丈夫，在聽說的那天，聲明無效；凡她所說出的，不論是許的願，或發的戒誓，一概無效；她的丈夫既聲明無效，上主也就寬恕她。

But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her.

13 凡女人所許的願，或為苦身克己所發的誓，丈夫能使之生效，亦能聲明無效。

Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.

14 但是如果她的丈夫兩天內對她未發一言，就算他使她所許的願和她發的戒誓生效，因為在他聽說的那天，對她未發一言，就已算贊成。

But if her husband altogether holds his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.

15 但若他聽說很久以後，才聲明無效，他應負妻子的罪債」。

But if he shall in any way make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.

16 這是有關丈夫和妻子的關係，父親與尚在家內年輕女兒的關係，上主向梅瑟吩咐的法令。

These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father’s house.
