Give thanks to the Lord for his goodness, his kindness endures forever.
2 A lungmanae teh a yungyoe a kangning telah Isarelnaw ni atu dei awh naseh.
Let the house of Israel now say: his kindness endures forever.
3 A lungmanae teh a yungyoe a kangning telah Aron imthung ni atu dei awh naseh.
Let the house of Aaron now say: his kindness endures forever.

Let those who fear the Lord now say: his kindness endures forever.

Out of straits I called on the Lord, the Lord answered and gave me room.

The Lord is mine; I am fearless. What can mere people do to me?

The Lord is mine, as my help: I shall feast my eyes on my foes.

It is better to hide in the Lord than to trust in mortals.

It is better to hide in the Lord than to put any trust in princes.

Everywhere heathen swarmed round me; in the name of the Lord I cut them down.

They swarmed, swarmed around me; in the name of the Lord I cut them down,
12 Khoi ni a kayo e patetlah na kalup nakunghai, buruk hmai kang e patetlah a roum awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA min lahoi koung ka raphoe han.
they swarmed around me like bees, they blazed like a fire of thorns: in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
13 Ka rawp nahanlah puenghoi na ka tanawt nakunghai, BAWIPA ni na kabawp.
Sore they pushed me, to make me fall; but the Lord gave me his help.
14 BAWIPA teh ka tha hoi ka la doeh. Ahni teh kaie rungngangnae doeh.
The Lord is my strength and my song, and he is become my salvation.

‘Open to me the gates of victory. I would enter therein and give thanks to the Lord.’ (The Welcome)
20 Hethateh, BAWIPA e longkha, tami kalannaw a kâen nahane doeh.
‘This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous may enter therein;’
21 Nang teh, na pholen han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang ni na pato teh, kaie rungngangnae lah na o.
I thank you because you have heard me, and are become my salvation.
22 Im kasakkungnaw ni a pahnawt awh e talung hah alawkpui poung e a takinlung lah ao.
The stone which the builders despised is become the head-stone of the corner.
23 Hothateh, BAWIPA ni a sak e doeh. Maimae mithmu haiyah kângairu hanlah ao.
This has been wrought by the Lord; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 Hethateh, BAWIPA ni a sak e hnin a tho. Hote hnin dawkvah, lunghawi awh han. Konawm awh han.
This day is the Lord’s own creation: in it let us joy and be glad.
25 Oe BAWIPA, atu na rungngang haw telah ka ratoum. Oe BAWIPA kuepcingnae hah na poe haw telah ka ratoum.
O Lord, save us, we pray, O Lord, prosper, we pray.
26 BAWIPA min lahoi ka tho e teh tami yawkahawi e doeh. BAWIPA imthung hoi yawhawi teh na poe awh.
Blessed the one who enters in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you.
27 Cathut teh BAWIPA lah ao teh angnae hah na poe awh toe. Thueng nahane hateh thuengnae khoungroe ki dawk rui hoi pâkhit nateh pen awh.
The Lord is God, he has given us light. Wreathe the dance with boughs, till they touch the horns of the altar.
28 Nang teh, kaie Cathut lah na o, na pholen han. Nang teh, ka Cathut lah na o. Na tawm han.
You are my God, I will thank you; O my God, I will exalt you.
29 Oe, BAWIPA koe lunghawilawk dei awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ama teh ahawi. A lungmanae teh a yungyoe a kangning.
