Luk 16
1 Jisuh ni a hnukkâbangnaw koe bout a dei pouh e teh, hnopai ka tawnta poung e bawi buet touh ao. Hote bawi ni hnopai ka kuem hane tami buet touh a tawn. Hote hnopai ka kuem e ni hnopai a kaseikasak telah bawi koe ka dei pouh e tami ao dawkvah,
And he said also to his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused to him that he had wasted his goods.

And he called him, and said to him, How is it that I hear this of you? give an account of your stewardship; for you may be no longer steward.

Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord takes away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
4 Atuvah bangmaw ka sak han tie ka panue toe, hottelah ka sak pawiteh ka thaw a baw torei im dawkvah o sak han ka ngai e tami ka hui ka tawn han telah a pouk.
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
5 Bawipa koe laiba ka tawn e taminaw pueng a kaw teh apasuek e tami koe ka Bawipa koe patho hane laiba na yit touh maw na ba titeh a pacei.
So he called every one of his lord’s debtors to him, and said to the first, How much owe you to my lord?
6 Hote tami ni satui nuenae 1,000 touh poe han ao telah a dei. Hnopai ka khen e tami ni vah hete na cayin lat nateh nuenae 500 touh thut telah atipouh.
And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said to him, Take your bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
7 Hathnukkhu alouke tami a kaw teh nang te laiba na yit touh maw na ba telah a pacei. Catun phei 1,000 touh poe han ao telah ati. Cayin lat nateh phei 800 touh thut telah atipouh.
Then said he to another, And how much owe you? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said to him, Take your bill, and write fourscore.
8 Hote hnopai ka khen ni teh tami ka dumyen e ni hot patetlah huenghai hoi hno a sak dawkvah a bawipa ni a oup. Bangkongtetpawiteh hete talaivan capanaw ni a thaw tawk e dawkvah angnae capanaw hlak vah a lunganghnawn telah ati. (aiōn g165)
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. (aiōn g165)
9 Bout ka dei e teh, na due torei a yungyoe kangning e lukkareiim dawk hui na tawn thai awh nahanelah, kangning hoeh e talai hno hno awh. (aiōnios g166)
And I say to you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when you fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. (aiōnios g166)
10 Hno kathoengca dawk yuemkamcu e tami teh hno kalen dawk hai yuemkamcu, hno kathoengca dawk yuemkamcuhoeh e tami teh hno kalen dawk hai yuemkamcuhoeh.
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11 Hottelah ao dawkvah ka kangning hoeh e talai hno hno navah, yuemkamcu lah na awm hoehpawiteh bangtelamaw bawitangrengnae katang poe lah ao han vaw.
If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 Hatdawkvah tami alouke hno dawkvah yuemkamcu hoeh lah na awm pawiteh apinimaw namamouh han lah hno na poe han maw.
And if you have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
13 San buet touh ni vah bawi kahni touh e san lah awm thai hoeh, buet touh pahnawt vaiteh buet touh a lungpataw han. Buet touh koe yuemkamcu lah ao vaiteh buet touh e teh banglahai noutna mahoeh. Cathut hoi tangka e thaw mekkem thai mahoeh telah atipouh.
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
14 Farasinaw ni a dei e naw pueng a thai navah, ahnimouh teh tangka ka ngai e tami lah ao dawkvah Bawipa a panuikhai awh.
And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 Jisuh ni hai Farasinaw, nangmouh teh tami hmalah tamikalan lah na kâsak awh. Hatei Cathut ni nangmae lungthin a panue. Bangkongtetpawiteh, tami ni aphu kaawm poung lah a pouk eiteh Cathut hmalah panuetthopounge doeh.
And he said to them, You are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16 Mosi e kâlawk hoi profetnaw ni a thut e naw teh Baptisma ka poe e Jawhan e atueng totouh hane doeh. Hathnukkhu Cathut uknaeram kamthang teh taminaw pueng koe dei lah ao vaiteh taminaw ni ram dawk a kâen awh han.
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it.
17 Hatei kâlawk dawk e lawklung kathoengpounge buet touh a rawk hlak vah kalvan hoi talai a rawk e a yawi hnawn.
And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one pronunciation mark of the law to fail.
18 Nang ni na yu hoi na kampek teh alouke napui hoi na o, hote tami teh a uicuk toe. Hahoi a vâ ka mat e napui hoi kaawm e tami hai a uicuk van telah atipouh.
Whoever puts away his wife, and marries another, commits adultery: and whoever marries her that is put away from her husband commits adultery.
19 Vai touh teh ka tangreng poung e tami buet touh ao teh khohna phu kaawm poung hoi a kamthoup teh hnintangkuem kanawm poung lah kho a sak.
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 Ka roedeng buet touh, âhlut hoi kakawi e, a min Lazarus tie teh, buramei ca hane pouknae lungthin hoi,
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 tangreng bawi im longkha teng sut a tahung. Uinaw ni a tho teh a hmânaw a palem pouh.
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 Tangreng bawi teh hell dawk a bo teh puenghoi ka patawpoung lah khang laihoi ao. A moung teh a khet navah, Abraham hoi a lungtabue dawk kaawm e Lazarus hah ahlanae koehoi a hmu. (Hadēs g86)
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)

But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and you are tormented.
26 Hothloilah maimouh rahak vah kadung poung e ravo pui ni na rakhan. Hatdawkvah hi lahoi nangmouh koe lah raka han ka ngai e tami ni raka thai hoeh. Hot patetlah nangmouh koe lahoi kaimouh koe lah raka han ka ngai e ni raka thai hoeh telah atipouh.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from there.
27 Tangreng bawi ni pawiteh, Oe! apa, Lazarus hah kai na pa im vah na patoun pouh haw
Then he said, I pray you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house:

For I have five brothers; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Abraham ni, na hmaunawnghanaw ni Mosi hoi profetnaw ni dei e hah tarawi awh naseh, telah atipouh.
Abraham says to him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 Tangreng bawi ni, a pa, Abraham, hottelah nahoeh, duenae koehoi buetbuet touh ni, ahnimanaw koe cet pawiteh a hringnae pan a kângai han doeh telah ati.
And he said, No, father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they will repent.
31 Hatei Abraham ni, ahnimanaw ni Mosi hoi profetnaw e lawk ngâi awh hoehpawiteh, tami buetbuet touh ni duenae koehoi ka thaw nakunghai yuem mahoeh, telah atipouh.
And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
