< Ezekiel 12 >

1 BAWIPA e lawk kai koe a pha teh,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Hmunae mit a tawn eiteh, hmawt thai hoeh, thainae hnâ a tawn eiteh, ka thaipanuek hoeh e naw tarankathaw e imthung lah na o awh.
Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the iniquities of those, who have eyes to see, and see not; and have ears to hear, and hear not: because it is a provoking house.
3 Hatdawkvah, nang tami capa santoungnae koe ka cet hane patetlah na hnopai kahawicalah taoung nateh, khodai lah ahnimae hmaitung roeroe vah kamthaw haw. Na hmu awh lahun nah na onae hmuen koehoi hmuen alouke koe na cei han. Tarankathaw e lah kaawm awh nakunghai a lung a ang awh yawkaw han doeh.
You therefore, son of man, prepare yourself baggage for going into captivity by day in their sight; and you shall be led into captivity from your place into another place in their sight; that they may see that it is a provoking house.
And you shall carry forth your baggage, baggage for captivity, by day before their eyes: and you shall go forth at even, as a captive goes forth, in their sight.
5 Ahnimae hmaitung vah kalupnae rapan hah na raphoe vaiteh, hawvah na hno hah na tâcokhai han.
Dig for yourself into the wall [of the house], and you shall pass through it in their sight:
6 Ahnimae hmaitung roeroe vah na loung hoi na hrawm vaiteh, khohmo na tâcokhai han. Talai na hmu hoeh na han na minhmai na ramuk han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Isarel imthung hanelah a khetsin hanelah na ta toe telah a ti.
you shall be lifted up on [men's] shoulders, and shall go forth in secret: you shall cover your face, and shall not see the ground: because I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.
And I did thus according to all that he commanded me; and I carried forth my baggage for captivity by day, and in the evening I dug through the wall for myself, and went out secretly; I was taken up on [men's] shoulders before them.
8 Hahoi amom vah Bawipa Jehovah e lawk kai koe a pha teh,
And the word of the Lord came to me in the morning, saying,
Son of man, have not the house of Israel, the provoking house, said to you, What do you?
10 Ahnimouh koe Jehovah Cathut ni hettelah a dei, hete lawk heh Jerusalem kacuenaw hoi ahnimouh koe kaawm e Isarel imthung abuemlae kong doeh.
Say to them, Thus says the Lord God, the Prince and the Ruler in Israel, even to all the house of Israel who are in the midst of them:
11 Nangmouh hanelah khetsin hanelah ahmaloe kamnue sak e doeh. Ka sak e boiboe lah ahnimae lathueng hai ka sak han. San lah toung sak hanelah man lah ao han telah tet pouh.
say, I am performing signs: as I have done, so shall it be to him: they shall go into banishment and captivity.
12 Ahnimouh koe kaawm rae kahrawikungnaw ni khohmo thung a hnopai a loung hoi a hrawm awh vaiteh, a tâco awh han. A tâco awh nahane rapannaw a raphoe awh han. A mit hoi ram a hmu awh hoeh nahanelah, a minhmai a ramuk awh han.
And the prince in the midst of them shall be borne upon shoulders, and shall go forth in secret through the wall, and shall dig so that he may go forth thereby: he shall cover his face, that he may not be seen by [any] eye, and he himself shall not see the ground.
13 Ahni teh kaie tamlawk hoi ka ramuk vaiteh, kaie masi dawk a kâman han. Khaldean ram e Babilon vah ka thokhai han. Haw tueng vah kadout nakunghai khopui hmawt mahoeh.
And I will spread out my net upon him, and he shall be caught in my toils: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; but he shall not see it, though he shall die there.
14 Ahni kabawm hanelah a teng kaawm e hoi kâkaheisak vaiteh, rayu tangcoung e tahloi hoi ka pâlei han.
And I will scatter to every wind all his assistants round about him, and all that help him; and I will draw out a sword after them;
15 Miphunnaw koe ka kâkaheisak teh ram tangkuem koe ka pâlei navah, BAWIPA lah ka o e hah a panue awh han.
And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have scattered them amongst the nations; and I will disperse them in the countries.
16 Hateiteh, tahloi hoi takang patawnae naw thung hoi tami youn touh ka cawi sak han. Ahnimouh ni a tho awh hoeh nae ram koelae miphunnaw koevah, panuettho e pueng hah a kamnue sak awh nahan, kai teh BAWIPA lah ka o e hah a panue awh han telah a ti.
And I will leave of them [a few] men in number [spared] from the sword, and from famine, and pestilence; that they may declare all their iniquities amongst the nations whither they have gone; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
17 Hothloilah BAWIPA e lawk kai koe a pha teh,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
18 tami capa pâyaw laihoi rawca cat nateh, kâhruetcuet laihoi tui hah net haw.
Son of man, eat your bread with sorrow, and drink [your] water with torment and affliction.
19 Hote ram dawk e taminaw koe Bawipa Jehovah ni Jerusalem e kho ka sak e thoseh, Isarel ram e kho ka sak e koe thoseh, hettelah a dei.
And you shall say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, on the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread in scarcity, and shall drink their water in desolation, that the land may be desolate with all that it contains: for all that dwell in it are ungodly.
20 Tami a onae khonaw a rawk teh ram pueng kingkadi lah ao han, kai teh BAWIPA lah ka o tie a panue awh han telah a ti.
And their inhabited cities shall be laid utterly waste, and the land shall be desolate; and you shall know that I am the Lord.
21 Hahoi BAWIPA e lawk kai koe a pha teh,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
22 Tami capa, a hnintha a loum toteh kamnuek e vision hai a rawk toe telah ouk na ti awh e hah Isarel ram dawk ouk hno e cingthuilawk hah bangtelane.
Son of man, what is your parable on the land of Israel, that you say, The days are long, the vision has perished?
23 Hatdawkvah, Bawipa Jehovah ni hettelah a dei. Hete cingthuilawk kaduemca e heh ka pahnawt teh Isarel ram dawk hno awh mahoeh toe. A hnintha a hnai toe. Kamnuek e vision pueng akuep nahane tueng a hnai toe telah ahnimouh koe a dei pouh.
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; I will even set aside this parable, and the house of Israel shall no more at all use this parable: for you shall say to them, The days are at hand, and the import of every vision.
24 Isarel imthungnaw thung dawk aphu kaawm hoeh e kamnuek e hoi hawinae koe lah cungpam rayunae roeroe awm mahoeh toe.
For there shall no more be any false vision, nor any one prophesying flatteries in the midst of the children of Israel.
25 Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA lah ka o. Ka dei e hah kuepsak lah ao han, akuepnae tueng hai tahruet mahoeh. Tarankathaw e imthungnaw na hring nathung roeroe lawk ka dei vaiteh ka kuep sak mingming hah telah Bawipa Jehovah ni a dei telah a ti.
For I the Lord will speak my words; I will speak and perform [them], and will no more delay, for in your days, O provoking house, I will speak the word, and will perform [it], says the Lord.
26 BAWIPA e lawk kai koe bout a pha teh,
Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
27 tami capa thai haw, Isarel imthung ni kamnuenae a hmu e teh hmalah hanelah doeh, a dei tangcoung e hai hmalah hane doeh telah atipouh.
Son of man, behold, the provoking house of Israel boldly say, The vision which this man sees is for many days, and he prophesies for times afar off.
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; Henceforth none of my words shall linger, which I shall speak: I will speak and do, says the Lord.
