< La Bu 51 >

1 O Pathen, na mingailutna longlou jeh’in na mi khotona chu neimusah in. Na mi hepina kidangtah jeh chun ka chonset nenbeh jouse neisuhbei peh in.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Kathemmona ho jouse’a kon’in neisutheng in lang neisoptheng in, ka chonsetna a kon’in neisuthengsel in.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 Ajeh chu ka phatlouna ka kihet’in sun le jan’in eijui jing’in ahi.
For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin [is] ever before me.
4 Nangma douna mong mong’a chonse ka hi, Nangma mitmun thilse chu ka na bol tai. Na thusei in nadihna aphondoh ding ahi, chuleh ka chung’a nathutan jong adih’in ahi.
Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done [this] evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, [and] be clear when thou judgest.
5 Ajeh chu ka nu oisung’a ka ki jil’a pat’a chonset pum’a kijil ka hin chonsesa hung peng a ka hi.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Hinla nang’in ka nu oisung’a pat’in jong atheng a ka um ding nana ngaichat ahin hiche mun jeng’a jong chu chihna lungthim neina hilpat ahitai.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Ka chonsetna a kon’in neisutheng lechun ka then ding ahitai, neisoptheng lechun buhbang sang’in theng tang’e.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Oh! Ka kipana neipekit in, nang’in nihesoh sah ahin tun neikipasah kit tan.
Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the bones [which] thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Ka chonsetna ho neivet peh jing hih in, ka setna nenbeh ho sumang in.
Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Lungthimthah neisem peh in O Pakai. Kasunga um lhagao hi nei thah sempeh in.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Na angsung’a kon’in neipaidoh hih’in, chuleh keija kon’in na Lhagao Theng chu lamang hih’in.
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Neihuhhing nikho’a ka kipana chu avel’in neipe kit in lang chuleh nathu’a nung jing mi neihisah in,
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me [with thy] free spirit.

[Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 O Pathen mi huhhingpu, keiman thisan kaso tahjeh in neingaidam’in chutileh neingaidamna chu kipah tah’a vahchoila a ka sah ding ahi.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 O Pakai lungnachim’a nangma ka vahchoi theina ding’in ka lei neilhap peh’in.
O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16 Nangman kilhaina thilpeh na ngaicha pon, pumgo thilto ding khat jong na ngaicha pon ahi.
For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give [it: ] thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 Nang’’in na ngaichat kilhaina chu- Lhagaova kisuh gep ahin, nang’in lung kisuchip pum’a kisihna neiho napaidoh poi o Pakai.
The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Zion hi lungsetna mitvet in venlang hin kithopin, Jerusalem pal hinsem phan.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Chutengleh kilhaina lungtheng sel a kipe pumgo thilto hon lunglhai in natin chule pumvo thil to pum bongchal ho avel’in hung kikatdoh tante.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
