< Thutan Vaihom Ho 14 >

1 Nikhat hi Samson Timnah khopia agachesuh leh, Philistine nungah khat ahin mudoh in ahi.
And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
2 In na ahung kile phatnin aman anule apa kommah, “Timnah kho’ah Philistine nungah khat kamun kadei lheh jengin ahi, amakhu kajidingin eiga puipeh lhonnin” ati.
And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
3 Anule apan anel lhonnin, “Eiho phunga numei umlou hija ahilouleh Israelte jouse lah a nakichenpi thei umlou hella hitam?” Amanin aseilhonnin, “Ipi dinga cheptanlou Philistine holah a ji naga kipui dingham?” atilhonne. Ahinlah Samson nin apa kommah “Neiga puipeh in, amanu khun kalung atoh lhehjenge” ati.
Then his father and his mother said to him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of your brothers, or among all my people, that you go to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said to his father, Get her for me; for she pleases me well.
4 Hiche thilsoh hi Samson chu Philistine te toh akidouna dinga Pathen thilgon ahilam chu anuleh apan ahet lhonlou ahi. Ajeh chu hichea pat’a hi Israelte chu Philistine te thaneina noija umma ahiuve.
But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.
5 Hitichun Samson chu anuleh apatoh Timnah kho a achesuh un ahilah Timnah kho a lengpithei lei kom aphah uchun keipi bahkai golkhatnin pohphungin ahin ngih in ahi.
Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.
6 Hiche pettah chun Pakai Lhagao chun Samson chu pohphung in ahin hatdoh sah in ahileh, Samson in akhutkeo seh in akha ahin kaopeh in, min kelnou abolna bangin aboljengin ahi. Ahinlah aman thilsoh chu anuleh apa ana seipeh pon ahi.
And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily on him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
7 Samson chu Timnah khopi alhunphat in hiche nungahnu chutoh akihoulim lhonnin ahileh amanun Samson chu alunglhaisah lheh jengin ahi.
And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.
8 Khonungin amanu chu kichenpi dingin Timnah kho a chun aga kilekitnin ahileh lampam’a chun keipi bahkai thilongchu agahven ahileh hiche thilong sunga chun khoiju bom anakaijin ahi.
And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass of the lion.
9 Aman khoiju chu akhutnin themkhat agah khendohin achepum pumin anen ahi. Aman anule apajong themkhat apen ahile amanin jong anelhon’in ahi. Ahinla aman keipi bahkai thilong sunga khoiju alahdoh chu aseipeh lhonpon ahil
And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcass of the lion.
10 Apan kichenna dinga tohgon achaiding konna akisahlel laitah chun, Samson in Timnah kho a golvah khat abollin ahi, hichu hiche phatlaija khangthah ho chonna ngaichu achepi ahi.
So his father went down to the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.
11 Mounu nulepa chun Samson chu amu phatnin aloi agoldingin khopi sunga konchun golhang somthum agonpeh in ahi.
And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.
12 Samson’in amaho koma chun, “Nangho kommah thulem khat seijingting nanghon hiche golvah ni sagi sungahi naseidoh theijuva ahileh keiman nangho tupat ponnem somthum leh golvah von somthum kapeh diu ahi,” ati.
And Samson said to them, I will now put forth a riddle to you: if you can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
13 “Ahinlah nanghon naseidoh theilou uleh nanghon tupat ponnem somthum leh golvah von somthum keima neipeh diu ahi,” ati. Amahon aphai kanom uve hiche thulem chu ipiham neiseipeh tauvin atin ahi.
But if you cannot declare it me, then shall you give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said to him, Put forth your riddle, that we may hear it.
14 Hitichun aman aseitan ahi, “Mi nepa a kon in nehthei themkhat ahungdoh e, mihatpa a kon in alhumkei themkhat ahung doh e” ati. Nithum sungin amahon hetdohtei ding ago uvin ahin ahedoh joupouvin ahi.
And he said to them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
15 Anili channin Samson jinu kommachun, “Hiche thulem hi najipa a kon in hetdoh tei hingon achuti louleh napa in hi nangpuma kahal lhah thadiu ahi. Nanghon hiche golvah a hi suhjum dinga neikou uham?” atiuve.
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said to Samson’s wife, Entice your husband, that he may declare to us the riddle, lest we burn you and your father’s house with fire: have you called us to take that we have? is it not so?
16 Hijeh chun Samson komma chun ajunu in mitlhi pummin aseijin, “Nanghin neilungset ahipoi, neivetda joh ahibouve! Nangin kamite thulem khat nasei khummin ahinlah keikommah aledoh nading neiseipeh poi” ati. Aman adonbutnin, “Hiche ledohna appa kanule appa jeng jong kaseipeh lou ahi, nang komma iti kaseidoh dingham?” ati.
And Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, You do but hate me, and love me not: you have put forth a riddle to the children of my people, and have not told it me. And he said to her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it you?
17 Hitichun golvah sunga chun amanun neiseipeh teijin tin akomma akap jengin ahi. Ajonan nisagi channa in aman aledohna chu aseipehtan ahi, ajeh chu amanun phat tinna asuhboi jing jeng ahi. Hichun amanun gollhangho komma chun aseipeh tan ahi.
And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore on him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.
18 Hijouchun nisagi channi nilhum masangin khopi mihochu ahungun “Khoiju sanga lhumjo ipi umding ham? Keipi bahkai sanga hatjo epi umding ham?” atiuve. Samson in adonbutnin,” Kabongla namanchah louvu hileh kathulem chu hoiya nahet diuham!” ati.
And the men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion? and he said to them, If you had not plowed with my heifer, you had not found out my riddle.
19 Hiche jouchun Samson chunga Pakai Lhagao chu thanei tah in achung’ah ahung chutan, ama Ashkelon khopia chun achesuh in, mi somthum aga thatnin aneihou ahin chommin athulem seidoh mihochu akitepna ponho chu agapetan ahi. Ahinla Samson chu hiche chungchanga chun alung phamolheh jengin ainlanga akile in anule apatoh aum khommun ahi.
And the Spirit of the LORD came on him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments to them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
20 Hijeh chun ajinu chu Samson golphapen pa kommah anapeu vin ana kichensah tauvin ahi.
But Samson’s wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.
