In the second year of Joash son of Joahaz king of Israel began Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah to reign.

2 Amaziah chu leng ahung chanchun ama kum somni le nga analhingtan ahi, aman Jerusalem ah kum somni le ko sungin lengvai anahom in ahi. Anu min chu Jehoaddin ahin, Jerusalem kho mi ahi.

He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jehoaddin of Jerusalem.

3 Amaziah hin Pakai mitmu’n thilpha jing abollin ahi, ahinlah apu David toh ana bang joupon ahi. Ahinlah apa Joash chondan joh ana juiyin ahi.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all that Joash his father had done.

4 Amaziah chun lim doiphung hochu ana suse dehpon, chule mipi hochun doiphunga chun kilhaina gantha leh gimnamtui lhutna chu abol jingun ahi.

Howbeit the high places were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.

5 Amaziah chun leng ahina akisuhdet phat chun, apa ana that ho jouse chu ana khailih tan ahi.

And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was established in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father:

6 Ahijing vang'in, aman apa ana that ho chate ho khatcha anathat pon ahi, ajeh chu aman dan lekhabua Pakai thupeh chu anajuijin. “Achateu chonset jeh a anu apate tha-lou ding ahilouleh anu apateu chonset jeh a achateu thalouding, thidinga lomho chu ama chonset jih a bou thading,” ti ahi.

but the children of the murderers he put not to death: according to that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, as the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall die for his own sin.

He slew of Edom in the Valley of Salt ten thousand, and took Sela by war, and called the name of it Joktheel, unto this day.

Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.

And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

10 “Nangin Edom mite chu najo jeh a chu nalungthim’a nangma kichoisanga nahi. Ahin naminthanna a chun lunglhai in lang, inmun nakitou thim’in, ajeh chu ipiding penna nangin naboi nading le Judah gam mipite manthah lo nadia mi naphin lunghang’a nahim?” ati.

Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory thereof, and abide at home; for why shouldest thou meddle to [thy] hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

But Amaziah would not hear. So Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Beth-shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

12 Judahte chu Israel sepaiten anocheh gamtauvin, asepai teu akitheh cheh uvin ainlang cheh uvah ajam gam tauve.

And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to his tent.

13 Hichun Israel lengpa Jehoash in, Ahaziah tupa chuleh Joash chapa Judah lengpa Amaziah chu Beth-Shemesh a chun ana mantan ahi. Chujouvin Israelten Jerusalem khopi chu anopaiyun, Jerusalem kulpi pal feet jagup a sang, Ephraim kelkotna apat a Palningkoi kelkot gei asuhchim pehtan ahi.

And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubists.

14 Hichun aman Pakai houin’ah sana le dangka chuleh thiljouse chu aki chomdoh in, chuleh leng inpi’a konin neile gou jouse jong achom’in chuleh gal hingin mi tamtah jong akaimangin, Samaria khopi lamah akile tan ahi.

And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king’s house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.

15 Jehoash vaipoh sunga thilsoh jouse leh aman ana tohdoh holeh athaneina akhon na geija anatoh ho chuleh Judah lengpa Amaziah toh gal ana kisatto naho abonchan Israel lengte thusim kijihlutna lekhabua aum sohkeijin ahi.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

16 Jehoash athiphat’in Israel lengte kivuina Samaria a chun avuijun ahi. Ama thi jouchun achapa Jeroboam ni na chun lengmun ahin lotan ahi.

And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.

17 Israel lengpa Jehoash athi jouvin Judah lengpa Amaziah chu kum somle nga ahingbe nalaijin ahi.

And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

18 Amaziah vaihom sunga thilsoh hojouse chu Judah lengte thusim kijihna lekhabua aum sohkeijin ahi.

Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

19 Jerusalem’ah Amaziah hinkho lahna dingin thilguh gonna anaum jeh in, ama Lachish lam’ah anajam in ahi. Ahinla adouhon athat ding mi anung nung’a ana sol’un ahile, amahon ajamna munah chun agathat un ahi.

And they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.

20 Amahon atahsa chu sakol in Jerusalem ah ahin le pohlut’un David khopia apu apate kivuina munah chun avui tauvin ahi.

And they brought him upon horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.

21 Judah mipiten Amaziah chapa kum somle gup bep lhing, Uzziah chu apa Amaziah khellin leng ding in atung tauvin ahi.

And all the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.

22 Apa thijou phat’in Uzziah in Elath khopi chu athah sem’in Judah a din ale lah lut kitan ahi.

He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.

23 Judah gam'a Amaziah leng chankal kum som le nga lhinin, Jehoash chapa Jeroboam ni na in Israel chunga lengvai ahin hom pantan ahi. Jeroboam in Samaria a kum somli le khat sungin vai ana hom’in ahi.

In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, [and reigned] forty and one years.

24 Amahin Pathen deilou lam thilse jeng ana bollin ahi. Nebat chapa Jeroboam in Israelte ana chonset sahna a konin ana kihei mang nompon ahi.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin.

25 Jeroboam ni na in Israel gam Lebo-hamath apat lhanglam twimang dung geiyin alelahdoh gam kittan ahi. Hichehi Gath-hepher la kona themgao Amittai chapa Jonah koma Pakai Israel Pathen ana phondoh sa dungjuija thilsoh ahi.

He restored the border of Israel from the entering in of Hamath unto the sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the LORD, the God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gath-hepher.

For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was none shut up nor left at large, neither was there any helper for Israel.

27 Ajeh chu Pakaiyin Israel tehi amin’u kathaimang sohkei ding ahi ana tilou jeh'in aman Jeroboam ni na chu amaho huhdoh dingin ana mangchan ahi.

And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

28 Jeroboam ni na vaihom sunga thilsoh jouse leh anatoh ho chuleh athanei naho agalsat ho chuleh Judah gam anahi’ah Damascus leh Hamath jong Israel a dingin ana lalut’in ahi. Hicheho jouse hi Israel lengte thusimbu kijihna lekhabua aumsohkeijin ahi.

Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, [which had belonged] to Judah, for Israel, are they hot written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

29 Jeroboam ni na athiphat’in Israel lengho kivuina Samaria ah ana vui tauvin ahi. Hichejouhin achapa Zechariah ama banin leng achangtai.

And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zechariah his son reigned in his stead.
