Luke 4

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, turned back from the Jordan, and was brought in the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Ce a hun awh khawnghi phlikip khuiawh qaai ing sykzoek hy. Ce a khawnghi khuiawh ikaw ca awm am ai hy, cedawngawh a hukhit na taw ak phoen cawi hy.
being tempted by the Devil forty days, and He did not eat anything in those days, and they having been ended, He afterward hungered,
3 Qaai ing a venawh, “Khawsa Capa na na awm awhtaw, vawhkaw lung ve phaihpi na coeng sak lah,” tina hy.
and the Devil said to Him, “If You are [the] Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.”
4 Jesu ing, “Thlang ve phaihpi doeng ing ak hqing am ni, tinawh qee na awm hy,” tina hy.
And Jesus answered him, saying, “It has been written, that, Not on bread only will man live, but on every saying of God.”
5 Qaai ing hun a sangnaak na ceh pyi nawh khawmdek awhkaw qam boeih boeih ce huh hy.
And the Devil having brought Him up to a high mountain, showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time,
6 Cekcoengawh a venawh, “Vawhkaw saithainaak ingkaw boeimangnaak boeih boeih ve ni pe vang nyng, vekkhqi boeih ve ka venawh peekna ak awm ni, kai ing ka ngaih ak thlang venawh pe thai nyng.
and the Devil said to Him, “To You I will give all this authority, and their glory, because to me it has been delivered, and to whomsoever I will, I give it;
7 Kai ve ni beek nawh, a cu boeih ve nang aham seh nyng,” tina hy.
You, then, if You may worship me—all will be Yours.”
8 Jesu ing, “Bawipa na Khawsa doeng ce beek nawh anih a bi doeng ce bi lah, tinawh qeena ak awm ni,” tina hy.
And Jesus answering him said, “[[Get behind Me, Satan, for]] it has been written: You will worship the LORD your God, and Him only you will serve.”

And he brought Him to Jerusalem, and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here,

for it has been written: To His messengers He will give charge concerning you, to guard over you;

and: On hands they will bear you up, lest at any time you may dash your foot against a stone.”
12 Jesu ing, “Bawipa na Khawsa ce koeh noek koeh dak,” tinawh ak awm ni,” tina hy.
And Jesus answering said to him, “It has been said, You will not tempt the LORD your God.”
13 Qaai ing a sykzoek coengawh, a tym leek a awm hlan dy cehta hy.
And having ended all temptation, the Devil departed from Him until a convenient season.
14 Jesu taw Myihla thaawmnaak ing Kalili na hlat hy, cawh anih ak awithang ce ce a qam ak khuiawh thang boeih hy.
And Jesus turned back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a fame went forth through all the surrounding region concerning Him,
15 Sinakawk kqang cawngpyi poe nawh, thlang boeih ing kyihcah uhy.
and He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
16 A baunaak khaw Nazareth ce pha nawh, Sabbath nyn awh a ceh khawi amyihna sinakawk na ce cet nawh, cawh cauk noet a hamna dyi hy.
And He came to Nazareth, where He has been brought up, and He went in, according to His custom, on the day of the Sabbaths, into the synagogue, and stood up to read;

and there was given over to Him a scroll of Isaiah the prophet, and having unfolded the scroll, He found the place where it has been written:
18 ”Khawsa ang Myihla taw kak khan awh awm nawh, khawdengkhqi venawh awithang leek kqawn aham kai ve ni caksak hawh hy. Thawng ak tlakhqi venawh loetnaak awi ingkaw mikhypkhqi venawh mik dainaak awi khypyi aham, phep qeena ak awmkhqi loet sak ham ingkaw,
“The Spirit of the LORD [is] on Me, Because He anointed Me To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent Me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send the bruised away with deliverance,
19 Bawi awmhly kum awi kqawn aham kai ve ni tyi hy,” a ti ce.
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
20 Cekcoengawh cazawl ce zawl tlaih nawh cawhkaw bibikung a venawh a peek coengawh ngawi hy. Sinakawk khuiawh amik awm thlangkhqi boeih a mik ce anih awh cun boeih hy,
And having folded the scroll, having given [it] back to the officer, He sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on Him.
21 cawh a mingmih a venawh, “Tuhngawi nangmih ang zaak awh ve cabu awi ve soep hawh hy,” tinak khqi hy.
And He began to say to them, “Today this writing has been fulfilled in your ears”;

and all were bearing testimony to Him, and were wondering at the gracious words that are coming forth out of His mouth, and they said, “Is this not the Son of Joseph?”

And He said to them, “Certainly you will say to Me this allegory, Physician, heal yourself; as great things as we heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country”;

and He said, “Truly I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country;
25 Elijah chan awh Israel ram khuiawh nuhai khawzah awm hy, kum thum coengawh hla quk khui khan chawmkeng khaih na a awm awh ram pum awh khaw se hy.
and of a truth I say to you, many widows were in the days of Elijah, in Israel, when the sky was shut for three years and six months, when great famine came on all the land,
26 Cehlai Sidon ram khuiawh ak awm Zarephath khaw awhkaw nuhai a ven doeng awh am awhtaw Elijah ce u a venawh awm tyih na am awm hy.
and to none of them was Elijah sent, but—to Sarepta of Sidon, to a woman, a widow;
27 Tawngha Elisha chan awh Israel ram khuiawh mynqai ak neh thlang khawzah awm hlai hy, Siria phyn Naman doeng am awhtaw u awm am qoei hy,” tinak khqi hy.
and many lepers were in the time of Elisha the prophet, in Israel, and none of them was cleansed, but—Naaman the Syrian.”
28 Sinakawk khuiawh ak awm boeihkhqi ing ce ak awi ce a ming zaak awh amik kaw so hy.
And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, hearing these things,
29 Dyi unawh, khawk khuiawh kawng anih ce khawceng na ceh pyi unawh, hqeng na buk hoek aham qyt uhy, cawhkaw khaw taw minpoeng ak chei ca awh awm hy.
and having risen, they put Him forth outside the city, and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built—to cast Him down headlong,

and He, having gone through the midst of them, went away.

And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths,

and they were astonished at His teaching, because His word was with authority.

And in the synagogue was a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a great voice,
34 “A! Nazareth Jesu, kaimih ingqawi ikaw ning laknaak a awm? Anik hqe khqi hamna nak law nanawh nu? Nang ve Khawsa ak thlang ciim ni tice ni sim nyng,” tina hy.
“Aah! What [regards] us and You, Jesus, O Nazarene? You came to destroy us; I have known who You are—the Holy One of God!”

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silenced, and come forth out of him”; and the demon having cast him into the midst, came forth from him, having hurt him nothing;

and amazement came on all, and they were speaking together with one another, saying, “What [is] this word, that with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come forth?”

And there was going forth a fame concerning Him to every place of the surrounding region.

And having risen out of the synagogue, He entered into the house of Simon, and the mother-in-law of Simon was pressed with a great fever, and they asked Him about her,

and having stood over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately, having risen, she was ministering to them.

And at the setting of the sun, all, as many as had any ailing with manifold diseases, brought them to Him, and He, having put hands on each one of them, healed them.
41 Qaaikhqi ce thlang ak kawk khui awhkawng cawn unawh, “Nang ve Khawsa Capa ni!” tinawh khy uhy. Cekkhqi ce zyi khqi saw, Khrih ni tice a mi sim a dawngawh am pau uhy.
And demons were also coming forth from many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God”; and rebuking, He did not permit them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.

And day having come, having gone forth, He went on to a desolate place, and the multitudes were seeking Him, and they came to Him, and were restraining Him—not to go on from them,

and He said to them, “Also to the other cities it is necessary for Me to proclaim good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this I have been sent”;
44 Cedawngawh Judah awh awm nawh Sinakawk awh awithang leek kqawn hy.
and He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
