How the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger. He has cast down from heaven to the earth the splendor of Israel, and hasn't remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.
2 Ka Boeipa loh a dolh phoeiah Jakob toitlim boeih te lungma a ti moenih. A thinpom neh Judah nu kah hmuencak khaw a koengloeng pah. A ram neh a mangpa te diklai la a khueh pah tih a poeih pah.
The LORD has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied. He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah. He has brought them down to the ground; he has humiliated the kingdom and its rulers.
3 Thintoek thinling ah Israel ki khaw boeih a ngun sak. A thunkha mikhmuh ah a hnuk la bantang kut a maelh vaengah Jakob dongah hmaisai hmai bangla a dom tih a kaepvai a hlawp pah.
He has cut off in fierce anger all the strength of Israel. He has drawn back his right hand before the enemy. He has blazed in Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours all around.
4 Thunkha bangla a lii a phuk tih rhal bangla amah bantang ah pai. A mik ah ngailaemnah boeih te a ngawn tih Zion nu kah dap ah hmai bangla kosi a hawk pah.
He has bent his bow like an enemy; his right hand he has positioned like an adversary. He killed all that were pleasant to the eye. In the tent of the daughter of Zion he has poured out his wrath like fire.

The LORD has become as an enemy; he has swallowed up Israel; he has swallowed up all her palaces and has destroyed its strongholds. He has multiplied in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
6 A po te dum bangla a hlaih tih a tingtunnah khaw a phae pah. BOEIPA loh Zion kah khoning neh Sabbath khaw a hnilh sak. A thintoek neh kosi dongah manghai neh khosoih khaw a tlaitlaek.
He has done violence to his temple, as if it were a vineyard; he has destroyed his place of assembly. The LORD has caused solemn assembly and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion, and he has spurned in his fierce anger king and priest and prince.
7 Ka Boeipa loh a hmueihtuk a hlahpham tih a rhokso khaw a hai coeng. Impuei vongtung khaw thunkha kut ah a det. Te dongah tingtunnah khohnin bangla BOEIPA im ah ol a huel uh.
The LORD has rejected his altar, he has disowned his sanctuary, and has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces. They have made a shout in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn assembly.
8 BOEIPA loh Zion nu kah vongtung phae ham a moeh rhilam a toe coeng. A dolh lamloh a kut poem pawt tih rhalmahvong khaw a nguekcoi sak dongah vongtung khaw rhenten tahah.
The LORD has determined to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion. He has stretched out the line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying. He has made the rampart and wall to lament; they languish together.

The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground in silence. They have cast up dust on their heads; they have clothed themselves with sackcloth. The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.

My eyes are worn out from weeping, my stomach is churning. My heart is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, because the young children and the infants faint in the streets of the city.

They tell their mothers, "Where is grain and wine?" When they faint as the wounded in the streets of the city, as their lives fade away in their mothers' bosom.
13 Jerusalem nu nang te metlam kang hih eh? Nang taengah metlam kan lutlat eh? Nang taengah ba nen lae ka tluk eh? Zion nu oila nang kan hloep ham akhaw na pocinah loh tuitunli bangla len tih unim nang aka hoeih sak ve.
What shall I testify of you? What shall I liken to you, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion? For your ruin is great like the sea. Who can heal you?
14 Na tonghma rhoek loh nang ham a poeyoek neh a rhorhap ni a hmuh uh. Na thongtlak kawng dongah thongtla la na mael ham vaengah nang kathaesainah te a phoe uh moenih. Nang ham a poeyoek neh vuelvaeknah kah olrhuh ni a hmuh.
Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions. They have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captivity, but have seen for you false and misleading oracles.
15 Longpuei kah aka cet boeih loh nang taengah kut a paeng uh tih kut a ving uh. Jerusalem nu nang taengah a lu a huen uh tih, “He khopuei tah Diklai pum kah omthennah sakthen rhuemtuet dae la nama?” a ti uh.
All that pass by clap their hands at you, they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, "Is this the city that men called 'The perfection of beauty,' 'The joy of the whole earth'?"

All your enemies have opened wide their mouth against you. They hiss and gnash the teeth; they say, "We have swallowed her up. Certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it."

The LORD has done that which he purposed, he has fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old. He has thrown down, and has not pitied. He has caused the enemy to gloat over you and exalted the horn of your adversaries.
18 A lungbuei tah ka Boeipa taengah pang. Zion nu vongtung aw, mikphi te soklong bangla suntla saeh. Namah te khoyin khothaih ah hilsangnah khueh boeh. Na mik mikhlang khaw ngam sak boeh.
Their heart cried to the LORD. O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night. Give yourself no respite; do not let your tears cease.
19 Khoyin khoyin ah thoo lamtah tamhoe laeh. Hlaemhmah pukthung ah na lungbuei te ka Boeipa mikhmuh ah tui bangla bueih. Longpuei takuem kah longrhai ah khokha lamloh aka rhae na camoe rhoek kah hinglu ham khaw amah taengah na kut phuel lah.
Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches. Pour out your heart like water before the face of the LORD. Lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger at the head of every street.
20 BOEIPA aw u taengah na poelyoe khaw so lamtah paelki. Huta loh amah thaihtae camoe hnatuem te ca tangkhuet saeh a? Ka Boeipa kah rhokso ah khosoih neh tonghma te ngawn saeh a?
Look, LORD, and see to whom you have done like this. Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands? Shall the priest and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the LORD?
21 Camoe patong loh tollong diklai dongah yalh uh. Ka oila rhoek neh ka tongpang rhoek khaw cunghang dongah cungku uh. Na thintoek hnin kah na ngawn tih lungma na ti kolla na ngawn.
The youth and the old man lie on the ground in the streets; my virgins and my young men have fallen by the sword. You have killed them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered, without pity.
22 Tingtunnah khohnin bangla ka rhihnah te ka kaepvai ah na hueh. BOEIPA kah thintoek khohnin ah hlangyong neh rhaengnaeng om pawh. Ka poeh tih ka pom te ka thunkha loh a khah coeng.
You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side. There was none that escaped or remained in the day of the LORD's anger. Those that I have borne and brought up has my enemy destroyed.
