< Rom 5 >

1 Tanghaih rang hoiah katoeng kami ah a oh o boeh pongah, aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri rang hoiah Sithaw hoi angdaehhaih a tawnh o boeh;
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
2 Anih a tang o haih rang hoiah hae a tahmenhaih ahmuen ah angdoet thaihaih to a hnuk o moe, Sithaw lensawkhaih oephaih hoiah ni anghoehaih a tawnh o.
through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 To khue ai, raihaih mah pauep thaihaih to tacawtsak, tiah a panoek o pongah, raihaih a tongh o naah doeh anghoehaih a tawnh o;
Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;
4 pauephaih mah tha khaang thaihaih to ohsak moe, khaang thaihaih mah oephaih to ohsak:
and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;
5 aicae khaeah paek ih, Kacai Muithla hoiah Sithaw amlunghaih to aicae palung thungah kraih boeh pongah, oephaih ah azathaih om ai.
and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 Aicae loe thazok kami ah a oh o nathuem, atue mah phak naah, Kri loe Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk hanah duek.
For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 Kahoih kami hanah duek koeh kami maeto om khoe doeh om tih, toe katoeng kami hanah duek koeh kami loe kha parai.
For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die.
8 Toe Sithaw mah loe aicae khaeah angmah ih amlunghaih to amtuengsak boeh; kazae kami ah a oh o li naah, Kri aicae hanah duek.
But God commends his own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Aicae loe vaihi angmah ih athii rang hoiah katoeng kami ah a oh o boeh, Anih rang hoiah Sithaw palungphuihaih thung hoi pahlonghaih a hnu o aep vop tih.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through him.
10 Sithaw ih misa ah a oh o li naah, a Capa duekhaih rang hoiah Sithaw hoi angdaehaih to sah let nahaeloe, a hinghaih angpaekhaih rang hoiah angdaehhaih sak pacoengah cae loe, kawkruk maw pahlonghaih to a hnu o aep vop tih.
For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
11 Hae khue ai, aicae loe aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri rang hoiah Sithaw ah anghoehaih a tawnh o moe, Anih rang hoiah vaihi Sithaw hoi angdaehhaih a hnuk o boeh.
Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
12 To pongah, kami maeto rang hoiah long ah duekhaih to akun moe, zaehaih rang hoiah duekhaih to oh; kami boih zae pongah, duekhaih mah kami boih to cen:
Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, so death passed to all men because all sinned.
13 (Kaalok ohhaih atue karoek to long ah zaehaih to oh: toe kaalok om ai naah loe zaehaih to amtueng ai.
For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.
14 Toe zaehaih mah Adam hoi Mosi karoek to uk, Adam baktiah zaehaih sah ai kaminawk doeh a uk; Adam loe angzo han koi kami to hnuksakhaih ih ni.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren’t like Adam’s disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.
15 Toe zae sakhaih hoi azom ah paek ih tangqum loe anghmong ai. Kami maeto mah zae pongah paroeai kaminawk dueh o nahaeloe, kami maeto tahmenhaih rang hoiah kaom tangqum, Jesu Kri rang hoiah cae loe kawkruk maw kaminawk khaeah Sithaw tahmenhaih to om aep tih.
But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
16 Tangqum loe kazae kami maeto hoiah angzo hmuen hoiah anghmong ai: kami maeto zae pongah lokcaekhaih to oh moe, danpaekhaih to oh, toe azom ah paek ih tangqum mah loe pop parai zaehaih tawn cadoeh toenghaih to hnuksak.
The gift is not as through one who sinned; for the judgement came by one to condemnation, but the free gift followed many trespasses to justification.
17 Kami maeto zaehaih pongah, to kami maeto rang hoiah duekhaih mah uk nahaeloe, paroeai tahmenhaih hoi toenghaih tangqum hnu kaminawk mah cae loe, kawkruk maw Jesu Kri maeto rang hoiah hing o ueloe, uk o aep tih.)
For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.
18 To pongah kami maeto mah zae pongah kami boih to lokcaek ah oh moe, danpaek baktih toengah, azom ah paek ih kami maeto toenghaih rang hoiah kami boih hing hanah, toenghaih to hnu tih.
So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.
19 Kami maeto mah lok tahngai ai pongah paroeai kaminawk kazae caa ah oh o baktih toengah, kami maeto mah lok tahngaihaih rang hoiah paroeai kaminawk mah toenghaih to hnu o tih.
For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.
20 Zae pung han ih ni kaalok to oh. Toe zae pophaih ahmuen ah, tahmenhaih doeh pop aep.
The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly,
21 Zaehaih mah duekhaih to uk baktih toengah, aicae Angraeng Jesu Kri rang hoiah dungzan hinghaih hnuk hanah, toenghaih rang hoiah tahmenhaih mah uk toeng tih. (aiōnios g166)
that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
