< Joshua 13 >

1 Joshua loe mitong boeh moe, saning doeh coeh boeh pongah, Angraeng mah anih khaeah, Na mitong boeh moe, saning paroeai coeh boeh, toe lak han prae paroeai oh vop.
Now Joshua was old and well stricken in years. YHWH said to him, "You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.
2 Lak han kanghmat praenawk loe, Philistin kaminawk hoi Geshur kaminawk ih prae boih,
This is the land that still remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshurites;
3 Izip prae ni angyae bang kaom, Shihor vapui hoi kamtong aluek bang kaom Ekron vangpui khoek to, Kanaan kaminawk ih prae, Philistin siangpahrangnawk ih prae pangatonawk, Gaza, Ashdoth, Ashkelon, Gath hoi Ekron pacoengah, Avi kaminawk ih prae,
from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even to the border of Ekron northward, which is counted as Canaanite; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avvim,
4 aloih bang hoi kamtong Kanaan kaminawk prae boih, Sidon kaminawk taengah kaom, Mearah prae, Amor prae Aphek vangpui khoek to,
on the south; all the land of the Canaanites, and from Arah that belongs to the Sidonians to Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;
5 Gebal kaminawk ih prae, ni angyae bang ih Lebanon prae boih, Hermon mae tlim ah kaom Baal-Gad vangpui hoi Hamath prae akunhaih khoek to oh vop.
and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal Gad under Mount Hermon to Lebo Hamath;

all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, even all the Sidonians; them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only you allocate it to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
7 To pongah hae prae hae vaihi acaeng takawtto pacoeng, ahap Manasseh acaengnawk hanah qawk ah pazet paeh, tiah a naa.
Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh: from the Jordan as far as the Great Sea toward the setting of the sun, you are to give it; the Great Sea will be the boundary.
8 Reuben acaeng, Gad acaeng hoi ahap Manasseh acaengnawk loe, Mosi mah paek ih lok baktih toengah, Jordan vapui ni angyae bang ih prae to, Angraeng ih tamna Mosi mah nihcae hanah qawk ah paek boeh.
But to the two tribes and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, with him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of YHWH gave them:
9 To prae loe Amor vapui taengah kaom Aroer vangpui hoi kamtong, tuipui taengah kaom vangpui; Medeba azawn hoi Dibon vangpui khoek to;

and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah;

all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (the same was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for Moses attacked these, and drove them out.
13 Toe Israel kaminawk mah Geshur hoi Maakah kaminawk to haek o ai; to pongah vaihni ni khoek to Geshur hoi Maakah acaengnawk loe Israel kaminawk salakah khosak o.
Nevertheless the children of Israel did not drive out the Geshurites, nor the Maacathites: but Geshur and Maacath dwell in the midst of Israel to this day.
14 Levi acaengnawk khue ni qawk hak ai; nihcae khaeah paek ih lok baktih toengah, Israel Angraeng Sithaw khaeah sak ih hmai angbawnhaih to nihcae ih qawk ah oh boeh.
Only he gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The offerings of YHWH, the God of Israel, made by fire are his inheritance, as he spoke to him.
15 Mosi mah Reuben acaeng maeto boih han paek ih qawk loe,
Moses gave to the tribe of the descendants of Reuben according to their families.
16 Arnon tuipui taengah kaom, Aroer vangpui hoi kamtong tuipui taengah kaom vangpuinawk hoi Medeba azawn boih;
Their border was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain by Medeba;

all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck with the chiefs of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who lived in the land.
22 Misatuk naah hum o ih to kaminawk pacoengah, hmabang kaom han koi hmuen panoek hanah lungh aah kop, Beor capa Balaam to Israel kaminawk mah sumsen hoiah hum o.
The children of Israel also killed Balaam, the son of Beor, the soothsayer, with the sword, among the rest of their slain.
23 Reuben kaminawk ih ramri loe Jordan vapui hoi tuipui taeng khoek to kawk. Hae vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk loe, Reuben imthung takoh boih mah qawk ah toep ih hmuen ah oh.
The border of the descendants of Reuben was the bank of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the descendants of Reuben according to their families, the cities and its villages.
24 Gad acaeng boih khaeah, Mosi mah paek ih qawk loe,
Moses gave to the tribe of Gad, to the descendants of Gad, according to their families.
25 Jazer vangpui hoi kamtong Gilead prae ih vangpui boih, Ammon kaminawk ih prae ahap, Rabbah vangpui hmaa ah kaom Aroer vangpui khoek to,
Their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the people of Ammon, to Aroer that is before Rabbah;

Moses gave an inheritance to the half-tribe of Manasseh. It was for the half-tribe of the descendants of Manasseh according to their families.
30 Mahanaim hoi kamtong Bashan prae boih, Bashan siangpahrang Og ih prae boih; Bashan prae thungah kaom, Jair kaminawk ohhaih vangpui quitarukto athum;
Their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.
31 Gilead prae ahap, Ashtaroth hoi Edrei vangpui, Bashan prae thung kaom Og siangpahrang ih vangpuinawk to, Manasseh capa Makir ih caanawk, ahap Makir caanawk ih imthong kami boih hanah a paek.
Half Gilead, Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the descendants of Makir the son of Manasseh, even for the half of the descendants of Makir according to their families.
32 Hae loe Mosi mah, Jordan vapui ni angyae bang, Jeriko vangpui taeng ih Moab azawn tangtling ah qawk ah paek ih prae ah oh o.
These are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, eastward.
33 Toe Levi acaeng han loe Mosi mah qawk to paek ai; nihcae khaeah thuih pae ih lok baktih toengah, Israel Angraeng Sithaw loe, nihcae ih qawk ah oh.
But to the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance. YHWH, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he spoke to them.
