< Isaiah 51 >

1 Toenghaih hnukah pazui moe, Angraeng pakrong kaminawk, ka lok hae tahngai oh; na aah o ih lungsong hoi na takaeh o ih tangqom to khen oh;
"Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the LORD: look to the rock you were cut from, and to the hold of the pit you were dug from.
2 nam pa Abraham hoi nangcae cunkung Sarah to khen oh; tangsuek naah loe anih khue ni ka kawk, toe tahamhoihaih ka paek pongah, anih loe kating ai ah pung.
Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.
3 Angraeng mah Zion to mongsak tih; kamro ahmuennawk boih doeh mongsak tih; anih ih praezaek to Eden baktiah angcoengsak ueloe, anih ih long karoem ahmuen to Angraeng ih takha baktiah angcoengsak tih; athung ah loe anghoehaih, oephaih, anghoe lok thuihaih hoi laasakhaih loknawk to om tih.
For the LORD has comforted Zion; he has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
4 Kai ih kaminawk, ka lok hae tahngai oh; Aw ka caengnawk, kai khaeah naa patueng oh; patuk ih toenghaih lok loe kai khae hoiah tacawt tih, ka toenghaih loe prae kaminawk hanah aanghaih ah om tih.
"Attend to me, my people; and give ear to me, my nation: for a law shall go forth from me, and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples.
5 Ka toenghaih loe zoi boeh, ka pahlonghaih doeh longh li boeh, ka ban mah kaminawk to lokcaek tih; tuipui thung ih prae kaminawk mah kai to zing o ueloe, ka ban thacakhaih to oep o tih.
My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the peoples; the islands shall wait for me, and on my arm shall they trust.
6 Van ah na mik padai o tahang ah loe long ah khen o tathuk ah; van loe hmaikhue baktiah anghmaa ving tih, long doeh kahni baktiah prawn ueloe, athung ah kaom kaminawk loe taksae baktiah dueh o tih.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and those who dwell in it shall die in the same way: but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7 Toenghaih panoek kaminawk hoi palung thungah ka patuk ih lok suem kaminawk, ka lok hae tahngai oh; kaminawk mah zoehhaih to zii o hmah, nihcae mah kasae thuihaih pongah doeh tasoeh o hmah.
"Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; do not fear the reproach of men, neither be dismayed at their insults.
8 Karaa mah nihcae to kahni baktiah caa king ueloe, langkawk mah nihcae to tuumui baktiah caa tih; toe ka toenghaih loe dungzan khoek to cak poe tih, ka pahlonghaih doeh caanawk ih adung khoek to om poe tih.
For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation to all generations."
9 Aw Angraeng ih ban nang, Angthawk ah, anglawt ah loe thacakhaih hoiah om ah; canghnii ih ni kalaem baktih, adung kangquem baktiah, angthawk ah. Rahab to takroek pat moe, pahui pui ahmaa caasakkung loe nang na ai maw?
Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn't it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?
10 Tuipui hoi kathuk parai tuinawk kangsakkung loe nang na ai maw? Kathuk tuipui nuiah akrang tangcae kaminawk caehhaih loklam sahkung loe nang na ai maw?
Isn't it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
11 To pongah Angraeng mah akrang tangcae kaminawk to amlaem o let ueloe, laasakhaih hoiah Zion ah akun o tih; nihcae loe dungzan anghoehaih lumuek to angmuek o tih; oephaih hoi anghoehaih to hnu o tih; to naah palungsethaih hoi qahhaih loe cawn ving tih boeh.
The ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They shall obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
12 Nangcae pathloepkung loe Kai, kaimah hae boeh ni; kadueh thaih kami, phroh baktiah azaem thaih kami capa to maw na zit o?
"I, even I, am he who comforts you: who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass;
13 Vannawk payuengkung, long angdoethaih sahkung, nang sahkung Angraeng to na pahnet ving boeh; pacaekthlaekkung mah kai hae hum tih boeh, tiah palung thung hoiah na poek o moe, ni thokkruek zithaih hoiah kho na sak o; pacaekthlaek kami palungphuihaih loe naa ah maw oh?
and have forgotten the LORD your Maker, who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he makes ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
14 Thongkrah kaminawk loe thongim thungah dueh o mak ai, zok doeh amthlam o mak ai, anih loe loih phrat tih.
The captive exile shall speedily be freed; and he shall not die and go down into the pit, neither shall his bread fail.
15 Kai loe tuipui mah hangh hanah, tuipui angthawksakkung Angraeng na Sithaw ah ka oh; Anih ih ahmin loe misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng, tiah oh.
For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar: the LORD of hosts is his name.
16 Vannawk angmah ih ahmuen ah suemkung, long angdoethaih ahmuen sahkung, Zion khaeah, Nangcae loe kai ih kami ah na oh o, tiah thuih hanah, na pakha ah ka loknawk to ka suek moe, ka ban hoiah kang pakaa boeh.
I have put my words in your mouth, and have covered you in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and tell Zion, 'You are my people.'"
17 Angraeng ban ih palungphuihaih boengloeng kanae Aw Jerusalem, anglawt lai ah, angthawk ah loe angdoe ah; tasoehhaih boengloeng to na naek boeh; anaengnawk doeh na naek boih boeh.
Awake, awake, stand up, Jerusalem, that have drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his wrath; you have drunk from the bowl, of the cup of staggering, and drained it.
18 Angmah tapen ih capanawk thungah hoiah angmah han loklam patuekkung mi doeh om o ai; angmah pacah ih capanawk thungah doeh, anih ban hoiah zae kami om o ai.
There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth; neither is there any who takes her by the hand among all the sons who she has brought up.
19 Patangkhanghaih hnetto ah kaom, caaknaek khaa pongah kami amrohaih ah kaom sumsen hoi duekhaih to na nuiah phak naah, mi mah maw na qah haih tih? Kawbangmaw kang pathloep thai han?
These two things have happened to you. Who will grieve for you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword. Who will console you?
20 Na capanawk loe tha zok o sut boeh moe, thaang pongah aman sathar baktiah, lamkrung kruekah angsongh o; nihcae loe Angraeng palungphuihaih hoi na Sithaw thuitaekhaih to amhah o sut boeh.
Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of the LORD, the rebuke of your God.
21 To pongah pacaekthlaekhaih tongh kami, misurtui hoi nae ai ah mu paquih kami, vaihi tahngai ah;
Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunk, but not with wine:
22 angmah ih kaminawk khenzawnkung, na Sithaw, na Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, na ban pong ih tasoehhaih boengloeng, palung ka phuihaih boengloeng pong ih anaengnawk to na naek let han ai ah, na ban thung hoiah ka lak ving boeh:
Thus says your Lord, the LORD, your God who pleads the cause of his people, "Look, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; you shall no more drink it again:
23 na nuiah caeh kaminawk hanah, loklam baktiah na takpum to long ah baih pae ah, na nuiah ka caeh o thai hanah, long ah tabok oh, tiah kathui, nangcae pacaekthlaek kaminawk ban ah to boengloeng to ka suek pae han, tiah a thuih.
and I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, 'Bow down, that we may walk over you;' and you have laid your back as the ground, and as the street, to those who walk over."
