1 Saning sarihto akoep naah, Jehoiada loe thacakhaih hoiah oh; anih mah misatuh cumvaito ukkung angraengnawk, Jehoram capa Azariah, Jehohanan capa Ishmael, Obed capa Azariah, Adaiah capa Maaseiah, Zikri capa Elishaphat cae hoi lokmaihaih to sak.
In the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zikri, into covenant with him.
2 Nihcae loe Judah prae pum ah caeh o moe, vangpui kruek ih Levi acaengnawk hoi Israel acaeng lu koeknawk to amkhuengsak, nihcae loe Jerusalem ah angzoh o.
They went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the heads of fathers' households of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.
3 Rangpui boih siangpahrang hoi nawnto Sithaw im thungah lokmaihaih to sak o. Jehoiada mah nihcae khaeah, Khenah, David ih capanawk kawng pongah Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, singpahrang capa ni siangpahrang ah om tih.
All the assembly made a covenant in the house of God with the king. And he showed them the king's son. And he said to them, "Look, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD has spoken concerning the descendants of David.
4 Vaihiah na sak o han ih loe, Sabbath niah toksak han kaom qaima hoi Levi acaengnawk thumto thungah, maeto mah thok to toep tih.
This is the thing that you shall do. A third part of you, who come in on the Sabbath, of the cohanim and of the Levites, shall be gatekeepers of the thresholds.
5 Thumto thungah maeto mah siangpahrang im to toep tih; kalah thumtonawk thungah maeto mah khongkha to toep tih; kalah kaminawk boih loe Angraeng ih longhmaa ah om o tih.
A third part shall be at the king's house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation. All the people shall be in the courts of the LORD's house.
6 Toksah qaima hoi Levi acaengnawk khue ai ah loe, mi doeh Angraeng im thungah akun o thai mak ai; nihcae loe ciimcai o pongah, akun o thai tih; toe kalah kaminawk boih loe Angraeng mah paek ih tok to toep o tih.
But let no one come into the house of the LORD, except the cohanim, and those who minister of the Levites. They shall come in, for they are holy, but all the people shall follow the LORD's instructions.
7 Levi acaengnawk loe siangpahrang taengah om o tih; kami boih mah angmah angvaenghaih sumpai to sin han angaih; mi kawbaktih doeh im thungah akun kami loe hum oh; toe nangcae loe siangpahrang caehhaih ahmuen kruekah anih hnukah bang oh, tiah a naa.
The Levites shall surround the king, every man with his weapons in his hand. Whoever comes into the house, let him be slain. Be with the king when he comes in, and when he goes out."
8 To pongah Levi hoi Judah kaminawk boih loe qaima Jehoiada mah paek ih lok baktih toengah sak o; qaima Jehoiada mah tapraek ih abu to tok anghaksak ai pongah, Sabbath niah toksak han kaom kami hoi toksah ai ah kaom han koi kaminawk to angzoh o haih.
So the Levites and all Judah did according to all that Jehoiada the cohen commanded: and they took every man his men, those who were to come in on the Sabbath; with those who were to go out on the Sabbath; for Jehoiada the cohen did not dismiss the shift.
9 Im thung ih David siangpahrang ih tayaenawk, misa angvaenghaih aphawnawk to qaima Jehoiada mah lak moe, misatuh kami cumvaito ukkung angraengnawk khaeah paek.
Jehoiada the cohen delivered to the captains of hundreds the spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David's, which were in God's house.
10 Ban ah angvaenghaih sumpai sin kaminawk loe, siangpahrang taeng, hmaicam taeng hoi im banqoi bantang bangah ohsak.
He set all the people, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, along by the altar and the house, around the king.
11 Siangpahrang capa to angzoh o haih moe, lu ah sui lumuek to angmuek o sak; lokmaihaih caqam to paek o moe, siangpahrang ah suek o; Jehoiada hoi a capanawk mah situi to bawh o moe, siangpahrang hinglung sawk nasoe, tiah hang o.
Then he brought out the king's son, and put the crown on him, and gave him the testimony, and made him king: and Jehoiada and his sons anointed him; and they said, "Long live the king."
12 Kaminawk loe cawnh o, siangpahrang thapaekhaih lok Athaliah mah thaih naah, nihcae khaeah, Angraeng ih im ah caeh.
When Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD:
13 A khet naah imthung akunhaih tung taengah angdoe siangpahrang to hnuk; angraengnawk hoi mongkah ueng kaminawk loe siangpahrang taengah angdoet o; prae kaminawk boih anghoe o moe, mongkahnawk to ueng o; laasah kaminawk doeh atuenpawk congca hoiah saphawhaih laanawk to sak o. To naah Athaliah mah angmah ih khukbuen to asih moe, Oep om ai kami, Oep om ai kami, tiah hangh.
and she looked, and, look, the king stood by his pillar at the entrance, and the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets; the singers also played musical instruments, and led the singing of praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and said, "Treason. Treason."
14 Jehoiada mah misatuh kami cumvaito ukkung angraengnawk khaeah, Tasa bangah tacawt o haih ah, anih abomh kaminawk to sumsen hoiah hum oh; qaima mah Athaliah to Angraeng ih im thungah hum o hmah, tiah a naa.
Jehoiada the cohen brought out the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, "Bring her out between the ranks; and whoever follows her, let him be slain with the sword." For the cohen said, "Do not kill her in the LORD's house."
15 Athaliah to naeh o moe, siangpahrang im caehhaih hrang khongkha phak naah, hum o.
So they made way for her. She went to the entrance of the Horse Gate to the king's house; and they killed her there.
16 Jehoiada mah Angraeng ih kami ah oh hanah angmah hoi kaminawk salak, siangpahrang hoi kaminawk salakah lokmaihaih to sak.
Jehoiada made a covenant between himself, and all the people, and the king, that they should be the LORD's people.
17 Kaminawk boih Baal im ah caeh o, Baal im to phraek o pacoengah, anih ih hmaicamnawk hoi krangnawk doeh pakhoih pae o king; Baal ih qaima Mattan doeh hmaicam hmaa ah hum o.
All the people went to the house of Baal, and broke it down, and broke his altars and his images in pieces, and killed Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
18 To pacoengah Jehoiada mah Mosi ih lokpaekhaih baktih toengah, Angraeng khaeah hmai angbawnhaih to sak moe, David mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, anghoehaih hoi laasak hanah, im toksahkung ah David mah paek ih, Levi acaeng qaimanawk ban ah a paek.
Jehoiada appointed the officers of the house of the LORD under the hand of the cohanim and the Levites, and he appointed the divisions of the cohanim and the Levites, whom David had assigned in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, according to the order of David.
19 Ciimcai ai hmuennawk akun thai han ai ah, Angraeng im khongkha toep kaminawk doeh a suek.
He set the gatekeepers at the gates of the house of the LORD, that no one who was unclean in anything should enter in.
20 Misatuh kami cumvaito ukkung angraengnawk, toksah angraengnawk, kacoehtanawk hoi prae kaminawk boih to a kawk moe, Angraeng ih im thung hoiah siangpahrang to caeh o haih; kasang khongkha hoiah siangpahrang imthung ah akun o haih moe, siangpahrang to angraeng tangkhang nuiah anghnut o sak.
He took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the house of the LORD: and they came through the Upper Gate to the king's house, and set the king on the throne of the kingdom.
21 Prae kaminawk boih anghoe o; Athaliah sumsen hoi hum o pacoengah loe, vangpui to amding rue boeh.
So all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet. Athaliah they had slain with the sword.
