1 ᏑᎾᎴᏃ ᏄᎵᏍᏔᏅ, ᏂᎦᏛ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏂᎳᏫᎩ ᎠᏁᎲ ᎠᏫ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᎴ ᎢᏳᎾᏛᏁᏗᏱ ᏥᏌ ᎤᏂᎯᏍᏗᏱ.
Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
2 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎤᎾᎸᎸ ᎤᏁᎵᏌᎾᏫᏛᎮᎢ, ᏆᏂᏛ ᏆᎴᏗ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏫᏚᏂᏲᎯᏎᎴᎢ.
and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him to Pilate, the governor.
3 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏧᏓᏏ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎶᏄᎮᎸᎯ ᎤᏙᎴᎰᏒ ᏓᎫᎪᏓᏁᎸᎢ ᎤᏁᏟᏴᏎ ᎤᏓᏅᏛᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏧᎾᏛᏐᏅᎯ ᏙᎤᏲᎮᎴ ᏦᎠᏍᎪᎯ ᎠᏰᎵ-ᎠᏕᎸ ᏧᎾᎬᏩᎶᏗ,
Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that Jesus was condemned, felt remorse, and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
4 ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᏥᏍᎦᏅᎩ ᏄᏍᎦᏅᏨᎾ ᎩᎬ ᏥᎦᏡᏓ. ᎯᎠᏃ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᎦᏙ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏴ ᎣᎬᏙᏗ? ᏨᏒ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏗᏣᎸᏫᏍᏓᏏ.
saying, "I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You see to it."
5 ᎠᎴ ᏚᏗᏅ ᎠᏕᎸ ᎾᎿᎭᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏄᎪᏤᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎢᏴᏛ ᏭᎶᏒ, ᎤᏩᏒ ᏭᏓᏛᏁᎢ.
He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary, and departed. He went away and hanged himself.
6 ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒᏃ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᏚᏂᎩᏒ ᎠᏕᎸ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᎥᏝ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᏱᎦᎩ ᎠᏕᎸ-ᏗᏗᏱ ᏱᏗᏗᎲᏍᎦ, ᎩᎬᏰᏃ ᏧᎬᏩᎳᏅᎯ.
The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, "It's not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood."
7 ᎤᏂᏃᎮᎸᏃ, ᎤᏂᏩᎯᏍᏔᏁ ᎥᏘ ᏗᎪᏢᏍᎩ ᎤᎶᎨᏒᎢ ᎾᎿᎭᎠᏁᏙᎯ ᏗᎨᏥᏂᏐᏗᏱ.
They took counsel, and bought the potter's field with them, to bury strangers in.
8 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏠᎨᏏ ᎩᎬ ᎤᎶᎨᏒ ᎠᏃᏎᎭ ᎪᎯ ᏥᎩ.
Therefore that field was called "The Field of Blood" to this day.
9 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᏁ ᏧᏁᏤ ᏤᎵᎹᏯ ᎠᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏥᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᏚᏂᎩᏒᎩ ᏦᎠᏍᎪᎯ ᎠᏰᎵ-ᎠᏕᎸ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏧᎬᏩᏔᏅᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏣᏥᎬᏩᎶᏔᏅᎯ, ᎢᏏᎵ ᏧᏪᏥ ᏧᏂᎬᏩᎶᏔᏅᎯ,
Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying, "They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of the children of Israel priced,
10 ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏩᎯᏍᏔᏅᎩ ᎥᏘ ᏗᎪᏢᏍᎩ ᎤᎶᎨᏒᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᏱᎰᏩ ᎠᏇᏲᏅᎢ.
and they gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord commanded me."
11 ᏥᏌᏃ ᎦᏙᎨ ᎢᎬᏱᏗᏢ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏬᎸᎢ. ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯᏃ ᎤᏛᏛᏁᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᏂᎯᏍᎪ ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎦ? ᏥᏌᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᏰᎵᏂᏫ.
Now Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus said to him, "You say so."
12 ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒᏃ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏂᎳᏫᎩ ᎬᏩᏱᎵᏙᎸ ᎥᏝ ᏳᏁᏤᎢ.
When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.
13 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏆᎴᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᏝᏍᎪ ᏯᏛᎩᎭ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎾᏅᏁᎲ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎯ ᎨᏣᏡᏗᏍᎬᎢ?
Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?"
14 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏌᏉᎤᏅ ᏱᏄᏁᏤᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏣᏘ ᎤᏍᏆᏂᎪᏎᎢ.
He gave him no answer, not even one word, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
15 ᏗᎵᏍᏓᏴᏗᏱᏃ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏳᎢ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏧᏲᎯᏎᏗ ᎨᏐ ᏌᏉ ᎠᏴᎩ, ᎯᎠᏉ ᎠᏁᎳ ᏴᏫ.
Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the crowd one prisoner, whom they desired.
16 ᎾᎯᏳᏃ ᏗᎦᏃᏣᎵ ᎠᏴᎩ ᎤᏂᎧᎮ ᏆᎳᏆ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ.
They had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
17 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎿᎭᏉ ᏚᏂᎳᏫᏨ ᏆᎴᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᎦᎪ ᎢᏣᏚᎵ ᏗᏨᏲᎯᏎᏗᏱ? ᏆᎳᏆᏍᎪ? ᏥᏌᎨ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᏣᏃᏎᎰᎢ?
When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is called Messiah?"
18 ᎠᎦᏔᎮᏰᏃ ᎠᏅᏳᎬᏉ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬ ᏚᏂᏲᏒᎢ.
For he knew that because of envy they had delivered him up.
19 ᎤᏬᎸᏃ ᏗᎫᎪᏙᏗᏱ ᎦᏍᎩᎸᎢ ᎤᏓᎵᎢ ᏧᏓᏅᏎᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏅᏧᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᏞᏍᏗ ᏂᎯ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ Ꮎ ᎾᏍᎦᏅᎾ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ ᏱᏗᏣᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎴᏍᏗ, ᎤᏣᏘᏰᏃ ᏥᎩᎵᏲᎩ ᎪᎯ ᎢᎦ ᎦᏍᎩᏓᏍᎬᎢ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎢ.
While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, "Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him."
20 ᎠᏎᏃ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏂᎳᏫᎩ ᏚᏂᏍᏗᏰᏔᏁ ᎤᏂᏣᏘ ᎨᏒ ᏆᎳᏆ ᎤᏂᏔᏲᏎᏗᏱ, ᏥᏌᏃ ᎤᏂᎯᏍᏗᏱ.
Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21 ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯᏃ ᎤᏁᏨ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᎦᎪ ᎯᎠ ᎠᏂᏔᎵ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏣᏚᎵ ᏗᏨᏲᎯᏎᏗᏱ? ᏆᎳᏆ, ᎤᎾᏛᏁᎢ.
But the governor answered them, "Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" They said, "Barabbas."
22 ᏆᎴᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᎦᏙᏃ ᏓᏥᏴᏁᎵ ᏥᏌ, ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᏣᏃᏎᎰᎢ? ᏩᎦᏛᎥᎦ, ᎬᏬᏎᎴ ᏂᎦᏛ.
Pilate said to them, "What then should I do with Jesus, who is called Messiah?" They all said, "Let him be crucified."
23 ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᎦᏙᏃ, ᎦᏙ ᎤᏛᏁᎸ ᎤᏍᎦᏅᏨ? ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᏟᏉ ᏂᎦᎡ ᎤᏁᎷᏁᎢ, ᏩᎦᏛᎥᎦ, ᎠᎾᏗᏍᎬᎢ.
But he said, "Why? What evil has he done?" But they shouted all the louder, saying, "Let him be crucified."
24 ᏆᎴᏗ ᎤᏙᎴᎰᏒ ᏗᎬᏩᏎᎪᎩᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎾᏓᏑᏰᏛ ᎤᎾᎵᏔᎸᏅᎩ, ᎠᎹ ᏬᏁᎩᏎᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᏑᎴᎮ ᎤᏂᏣᏘ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎲᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᎠᏴ ᎥᏝ ᎠᎩᏍᎦᏅᏨᎯ ᏱᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᎦᏅᏨᎾ ᏴᏫ ᎤᎩᎬ. ᏂᎯ ᎢᏣᎦᏌᏯᏍᏓ.
So Pilate, seeing that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, took water and he washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man. You see to it."
25 ᏂᎦᏛᏃ ᏴᏫ ᎤᏂᏁᏤᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᎤᎩᎬ ᎠᏴ ᎠᎴ ᏦᎨᏥ ᎣᎩᏅᎦᎴᏍᏗ.
All the people answered, "May his blood be on us, and on our children."
26 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏆᎳᏆ ᏕᎤᏲᎯᏎᎴᎢ; ᎤᎵᎥᏃᏅᏃ ᏥᏌ ᏚᏲᏎ ᎠᎦᏛᏗᏱ.
Then he released to them Barabbas, but Jesus he flogged and delivered to be crucified.
27 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎩ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏧᏤᎵᎦ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎦᏁᎸ ᎤᏂᏴᏔᏁ ᏥᏌ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᎿᎭᏕᎬᏩᏚᏫᏍᏔᏁ ᏂᎦᏛ ᏑᎾᏓᏡᎩ ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎩ.
Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him.
28 ᏚᏂᏄᏪᏒᏃ, ᎩᎦᎨ ᎦᏌᎴᎾ ᎤᏂᏄᏬᎡᎢ.
They stripped him, and put a scarlet robe on him.
29 ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏍᏕᏲᏅ ᎠᎵᏍᏚᎶ ᏧᏣᏲᏍᏗ ᎪᏢᏔᏅᎯ, ᎤᏂᏍᏚᎳᏁᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎦᎾᏍᏓ ᎠᎦᏘᏏ ᎢᏗᏢ ᎤᎾᏒᎦᎳᏗᏍᏔᏁᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᏓᎾᎵᏂᏆᏅᏁᎮ ᎠᎴ ᎠᎾᏕᎰᏗᏍᎨᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᎾᏂᏪᏍᎨᎢ; ᎢᏨᏲᎵᎦ, ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎦ.
They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying, "Greetings, King of the Jews."
30 ᏚᎾᎵᏥᏇᏃ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏴᎡᎴ ᎦᎾᏍᏓ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏍᏆᎸᏂᏍᏔᏁᎢ.
They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.
31 ᎤᎾᏕᎰᏔᏃᏅᏃ ᎤᏂᏄᏪᏎ ᎦᏌᎴᎾ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏩᏒ ᏧᏄᏪ ᏚᏂᏄᏬᎡᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎤᎾᏛᏗᏱ ᏭᎾᏘᏅᏍᏔᏁᎢ.
When they had mocked him, they took the robe off of him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.
32 ᎤᏂᏄᎪᏨᏃ ᎤᏂᏩᏛᎮ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᏌᎵᏂ ᎡᎯ ᏌᏩᏂ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ; ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏍᎦᎢᏍᏓᎩ ᏄᏅᏁᎴ ᎤᏪᏅᏍᏗᏱ ᏧᏓᎿᎭᏩᏛ.
As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross.
33 ᏭᏂᎷᏨᏃ ᎪᎵᎦᏓ ᏚᏙᎥᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏍᏆᎷᎪᎢ ᏥᎦᏛᎦ,
They came to a place called "Golgotha," that is to say, "The place of a skull."
34 ᏧᏂᏦᏯᏍᏗ ᎤᏗᏔᏍᏗ ᎠᏓᎦ ᎠᏑᏱ ᎤᏂᏁᏁᎴᎢ, ᎤᏁᎸᏔᏅᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏳᏚᎸᎮ ᎤᏗᏔᏍᏗᏱ.
They gave him wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.
35 ᎤᎾᏛᏁᏃ ᎠᎴ ᏚᏂᏯᏙᎴ ᏧᏄᏬ ᎠᎾᏌᏍᏗᏍᎨᎢ; ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᏁ ᎠᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ ᏧᏁᏤᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏥᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᏗᏆᏄᏬ ᏚᏂᏯᏙᎸᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏆᏄᏬ ᎤᎾᏌᏍᏔᏅᎩ.
When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among themselves, casting a lot, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: 'They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast a lot.'
36 ᎤᎾᏅᏁᏃ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏯᏫᏎ.
And they sat and watched him there.
37 ᎤᏂᏯᎸᏁᏃ ᎦᎸᎳᏗᏢ ᎤᎵᏍᏓᏛᎢ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎵᏱᎵᏕᎲᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏂᎬᏁ ᎪᏪᎴᎢ; ᎯᎠᏲ ᏥᏌ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎦ.
They set up over his head the accusation against him written, "THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
38 ᎾᏍᏉᏃ ᎢᏧᎳᎭ ᏕᎨᎦᏛᏁ ᎠᏂᏔᎵ ᎠᏂᏃᏍᎩᏍᎩ, ᏌᏉ ᎠᎦᏘᏏ ᎢᏗᏢ, ᏐᎢᏃ ᎠᎦᏍᎦᏂ ᎢᏗᏢ.
Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.
39 ᎾᎥᏃ ᎠᏂᎶᏍᎩ ᎦᎬᏩᏐᏢᏕᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏓᎾᎵᏍᏛᏁᎮᎢ,
Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads,
40 ᎯᎠ ᎾᏂᏪᏍᎨᎢ; ᎤᏛᎾ-ᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᎯᏲᏍᏗᏍᎩ, ᏦᎢᏉᏃ ᎢᎦ ᎯᏰᎢᎵᏙᎯ ᎭᏁᏍᎨᏍᎩ, ᎭᎵᏍᏕᎸ ᏨᏒ; ᎢᏳᏃ ᏂᎯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏪᏥ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᏓᏓᎿᎭᏩᏍᏛ ᎡᎭᏠᎠᎯ.
and saying, "You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
41 ᎾᏍᏉᏃ ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏃᏪᎵᏍᎩ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏂᎳᏫᎩ ᎠᏂᏰᎵᏍᎬᎢ ᎯᎠ ᎾᏂᏪᏍᎨᎢ;
Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the scribes, and the elders, said,
42 ᎠᏂᏐᎢ ᏓᏍᏕᎵᏍᎬᎩ, ᎤᏩᏒᏍᎩᏂ ᎥᏝ ᏴᎬᎵᏍᏕᎸ. ᎢᏳᏃ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎢᏏᎵ ᎤᎾᏤᎵ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎿᎭᏉ ᏓᏓᎿᎭᏩᏍᏛ ᎡᎠᏠᎠᎯ, ᎩᎳᏃ ᏓᏰᏙᎢᏳᏂ.
"He saved others, but he cannot save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.
43 ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᎵᏍᎦᏍᏙᏛᎩ; ᎿᎭᏉ ᏭᏍᏕᎸ ᎢᏳᏃ ᎤᎸᏉᏕᏍᏗ; ᎯᎠᏰᏃ ᏥᏂᎦᏪᏍᎬᎩ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎡᏙᏓ.
He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
44 ᎠᏂᏃᏍᎩᏍᎩᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏧᎳᎭ ᏗᎨᎦᏛᏅᎯ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎦᎬᏩᏐᏢᏕᎢ.
The robbers also who were crucified with him insulted him in the same way.
45 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎢᎦ ᎤᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᏦᎢᏁ ᎢᏳᏟᎶᏛ ᎧᎳᏩᏗᏒ ᎢᏯᏍᏘ ᎤᏒᎯᏰᏱ ᎢᏗᏢ ᎤᎵᏏᎲᏒᎩ ᏂᎬ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎦᏙᎯ.
Now from noon until three in the afternoon there was darkness over all the land.
46 ᏦᎢᏁᏃ ᎢᏳᏟᎶᏛ ᎢᏴ ᎧᏔᏩᏗᏒ ᎤᏒᎯᏰᏱ ᎢᏗᏢ ᏥᏌ ᎤᏁᏤ ᎠᏍᏓᏯ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᎢᎳ, ᎢᎳ, ᎳᎹ ᏌᏆᏓᏂ? ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᏗ ᎦᏛᎬᎢ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᏆᏤᎵᎦ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᏆᏤᎵᎦ, ᎦᏙᏃ ᎢᏍᏋᏕᏨᏉ?
Then at about three in the afternoon Jesus called out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema shabachthani?" That is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
47 ᎢᎦᏛᏃ ᎾᎿᎭᎠᏂᏙᎾᎢ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎾᏛᎦᏅ, ᎢᎳᏯ ᎠᏯᏂᎭ ᎯᎠ, ᎤᎾᏛᏁᎢ.
Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, "This man is calling Elijah."
48 ᎩᎳᏉᏃ ᎢᏴᏛ ᎠᏏᏴᏫ ᏚᏍᏆᎸᏔᏁᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏭᏁᏎ ᏚᏬᎵ, ᎠᎴ ᏧᏂᏦᏯᏍᏗ ᎤᎧᎵᎢᏍᏔᏁᎢ, ᎦᎾᏍᏙᎯᏃ ᎤᏪᏆᏙᏔᏅ ᏭᏅᏁᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏗᏔᏍᏗ.
Immediately one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him a drink.
49 ᎢᎦᏛᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᎤᏁᎳᎩ, ᎢᏓᏙᎴᎰᎯ, ᏥᎪᏃ ᎢᎳᏯ ᏓᎦᎷᏥ ᏓᏳᏍᏕᎸᎯᎵ.
The rest said, "Let him be. Let us see whether Elijah comes to save him."
50 ᏥᏌᏃ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎠᏍᏓᏯ ᎤᏁᏨ ᏕᎤᏲᏎ ᎤᏓᏅᏙ.
And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.
51 ᎬᏂᏳᏉᏃ ᎠᏄᏬ ᎠᏰᏙᎳᏛ ᎤᏛᎾ-ᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᏚᎵᏍᏡᏰᎢ, ᎦᎸᎳᏗ ᏧᎴᏅᎮ ᎡᎳᏗ ᏭᏍᏆᏗᏍᏔᏁᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎦᏙᎯ ᎤᎵᏖᎸᏁᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏅᏯ ᏚᎾᎵᏍᏡᏰᎢ.
And look, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.
52 ᏓᏤᎵᏍᏛᏃ ᏚᎵᏍᏚᎢᏎᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏣᏘ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏘ ᎤᏂᎵᏅᏨᎯ ᎤᎾᏗᏓᏁᏎᎢ,
The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
53 ᎠᎴ ᏓᏤᎵᏍᏛ ᏚᏂᏄᎪᏤ ᏧᎴᏅᎯ ᏂᎨᏎᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎦᏚᎲ ᎤᏂᏴᎴᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏣᏖ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏂᏚᎾᏛᏁᎴᎢ.
and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.
54 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎠᏍᎪᎯᏧᏈ ᏗᏓᏘᏂᏙᎯ ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎢᏧᎳᎭ ᏥᏌ ᎬᏩᏯᏫᏍᎩ, ᎤᎾᏙᎴᎰᏒ ᎦᏙᎯ ᎠᎵᏖᎸᎲᏍᎬᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᎵᏍᏔᏂᏙᎸᎢ, ᎤᏣᏖ ᎤᏂᏍᎦᎴᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏪᏥ ᎨᏎ ᎯᎠ.
Now the centurion, and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God."
55 ᎾᎿᎭᏃ ᎠᏂᏙᎾᎡ ᎤᏂᏣᏖ ᎠᏂᎨᏴ Ꭸ ᎢᏴᏛ ᏙᏗᏂᎧᏁᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏌ ᎨᎵᎵ ᏅᏓᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏛᏛ ᎬᏩᏍᏕᎸᎯᏙᎸᎯ,
Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.
56 ᎾᎿᎭᎤᎾᏓᏑᏰ ᎺᎵ ᎹᎩᏕᎵ ᎡᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎺᎵ ᏥᎻ ᎠᎴ ᏦᏏ ᎤᏂᏥ, ᎠᎴ ᏤᏈᏗ ᏧᏪᏥ ᎤᏂᏥ.
Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
57 ᎤᏒᏃ ᏄᎵᏍᏔᏅ ᎤᎷᏤ ᎤᏪᎿᎭᎢ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎠᎵᎹᏗᏱ ᎡᎯ ᏦᏩ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ, ᎾᏍᏉ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏌ ᎤᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎨᏎᎢ;
When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus' disciple came.
58 ᏆᎴᏗᏱ ᎤᏪᏅᏎᎢ, ᏥᏌ ᎠᏰᎸᎢ ᏭᏔᏲᎴᎢ. ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏆᎴᏗ ᎤᏁᏤ ᎠᏰᎸᎢ ᏧᏂᏲᎯᏎᏗᏱ.
This man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded that it be released.
59 ᏦᏩᏃ ᎠᏰᎸ ᎤᏁᏒ ᎤᏪᏣᏄᎶᏔᏁ ᎦᏓᎭ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎠᏄᏬ ᎤᏁᎬ;
Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60 ᎠᎴ ᎤᏅᏁ ᎤᏩᏒ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎢᏤ ᏗᏓᏂᏐᏗᏱ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏲᎯ ᎤᏔᎴᏒᎢ; ᎡᏆᏃ ᏅᏯ ᎦᎶᎯᏍᏗᏱ ᎠᏤᎵᏍᏛ ᏭᏪᏌᏆᎴᎸ ᎤᏓᏅᏎᎢ.
and placed it in his own new tomb, which he had cut out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed.
61 ᎾᎿᎭᏃ ᎢᎬᏱᏗᏢ ᏗᏓᏂᏐᏗᏱ ᏚᏃᎴ ᎺᎵ ᎹᎩᏕᎵ ᎡᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏐᎢ ᎺᎵ.
Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.
62 ᎠᎴ ᎤᎩᏨᏛ, ᎠᏛᏅᎢᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎢᎦ ᎤᎶᏐᏅᎯ, ᏄᏂᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎠᏁᎶᎯ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏆᎵᏏ ᏕᎬᏩᎳᏫᏤ ᏆᎴᏗ,
Now on the next day, which was the day after the Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees were gathered together to Pilate,
63 ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᏣᎬᏫᏳᎯ, ᎣᎦᏅᏔ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎠᏓᎶᏄᎮᏍᎩ, ᎠᏏᏉ ᏥᎬᏅᎩ, ᎯᎠ ᏥᏄᏪᏒᎩ; ᏦᎢᏁᏉ ᎢᎦ ᏙᏛᎦᎴᏂ.
saying, "Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: 'After three days I will rise again.'
64 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎯᏁᎩ ᎠᏍᏓᏯ ᎢᏳᏅᏁᏗᏱ ᎠᏤᎵᏍᏛᎢ ᏦᎢᏁ ᎢᎦ ᎢᎪᎯᏛ, ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯᏰᏃ ᏒᏃᏱ ᏯᏂᎷᎩ ᏱᎬᏩᏃᏍᎩ, ᎯᎠᏃ ᏱᏂᏓᏂᏪᏏ ᏴᏫ; ᏧᏲᎱᏒ ᏙᎤᎴᏅ; ᎣᏂᏱᏃ ᎤᎾᏠᏄᎮᎸᎢ ᎤᏟ ᎤᏲᎢᏳ ᏱᎩ ᎡᏍᎦᏉ ᎢᎬᏱᏱ.
Command therefore that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest perhaps his disciples come and steal him away, and tell the people, 'He is risen from the dead;' and the last deception will be worse than the first."
65 ᏆᎴᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎩ ᏕᏥᎧᎭ, ᎢᏤᎾ ᎾᏍᏓᏴ ᎢᎨᏨᏁᏗ ᎨᎡ ᏫᏂᏨᎦ.
Pilate said to them, "You have a guard. Go, make it as secure as you can."
66 ᎰᏩᏃ ᎤᏁᏅᏎ ᎠᏍᏓᏱᏳ ᏫᏄᏅᏁᎴ ᎠᏤᎵᏍᏛᎢ, ᎤᏂᏰᎸᏔᏁ ᏅᏲᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᏂᎧᏁ ᎠᏂᎦᏘᏗᏍᎩ.
So they went with the guard and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone.
