1 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎢᏗᎯᏯᏍᎬ ᎠᎴᏅᏙᏗ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎤᏤᎵ ᏗᏕᏲᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᏂᎦᎷᎶᎬᎾ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏴᏛ ᏫᏗᏰᎢᎶᎦ; ᏔᎵᏁ ᎦᎫᏍᏛᏗ ᏂᏗᎲᏍᎬᎾ ᎦᏁᏟᏴᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎣᏓᏅᏛ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ, ᎠᏓᎯᎯᏉ ᏗᎦᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᏥᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎪᎯᏳᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ,
Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Messiah, let’s press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith towards God,
2 ᏗᏓᏬᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏗᏕᏲᏅᎯ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ, ᎠᎴ ᏗᏓᏏᏔᏗᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ, ᎠᎴ ᏧᏂᏲᎱᏒᎯ ᏧᎾᎴᎯᏐᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎵᏍᏆᏗᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᏗᎫᎪᏙᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ. (aiōnios g166)
of the teaching of immersions, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement. (aiōnios g166)
3 ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏅᏓᏓᏛᏁᎵ ᎢᏳᏃ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏱᎦᎵᏍᎪᎸᏓᏁᎸ.
This will we do, if God permits.
4 ᎬᏩᏟᏍᏗᏰᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎢᎸᎯᏳ ᎢᎦ ᎨᎦᏗᏍᏓᏁᎸᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎾᏁᎶᏔᏅᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎦᎸᎶᎢ ᏅᏓᏳᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᎠᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎦᎸᏉᏗᏳ ᎠᏓᏅᏙ ᎨᎦᏠᏯᏍᏔᏅ ᎨᏥᏁᎸᎯ.
For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
5 ᎠᎴ ᎤᎾᏁᎶᏔᏅᎯ ᏥᎩ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵᎦ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎵᏂᎩᏛ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎵᏍᏆᎸᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, (aiōn g165)
and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, (aiōn g165)
6 ᎾᏍᎩ ᏧᏂᏲᏒᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎬᏩᏟᏍᏗ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎢᏤ ᎢᎨᎬᏁᏗᏱ ᎦᏁᏟᏴᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏚᎾᏓᏅᏛ ᏭᏂᎷᎯᏍᏗᏱ; ᎤᏅᏒᏰᏃ ᏔᎵᏁ ᎤᎾᏓᏛᏁᎸᎯ ᎢᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏪᏥ, ᎠᎴ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎬᏩᏕᎰᎯᏍᏔᏅᎯ ᎢᎩ.
and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame.
7 ᎦᏙᎯᏰᏃ ᏣᏗᏔᏍᎪ ᎠᎹ ᏯᏃ ᎤᎦᎿᎭᏂᎯᎲᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏥᎦᎾᏄᎪᏫᏍᎪ ᎠᏛᏒᎥᏍᎩ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎤᏅᏙᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎦᏙᎯ ᎨᏥᎶᎦᏁᎸᎯ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎾᏛᏁᎰᎢ.
For the land which has drunk the rain that comes often on it and produces a crop suitable for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receives blessing from God;
8 ᎾᏍᎩᏍᎩᏂ Ꮎ ᏥᏍᏚᏂᎩᏍᏗ ᎠᎴ ᎧᏄᎦᎸ ᎠᏛᏍᎬᎢ ᎠᏗᏅᏗᏉ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏍᎦᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᎨᏒ ᎾᎥᏂᏳ ᏄᏍᏗᏕᎪᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎵᏍᏆᎸᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎪᎲᏍᏙᏗ ᏥᎩ.
but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is rejected and near being cursed, whose end is to be burnt.
9 ᎠᏎᏃ, ᏂᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏨᎨᏳᎢ, ᏅᏟᎯᏳ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎢᏨᏴᎾᏁᎭ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᎵᏍᏕᎸᏙᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎬᏩᎵ ᏔᎵ ᎤᏛᏗᏕᎬᎢ, ᎯᎠᏍᎩᏂᏃᏅ ᏃᏥᏪᎭ.
But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things for you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we speak like this.
10 ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏰᏃ ᎥᏝ ᏂᏚᏳᎪᏛᎾ ᎢᎬᏩᏛᏁᏗ ᏱᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏩᎨᏫᏍᏗᏱ ᏕᏥᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎸ ᎠᎴ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏂᏨᏁᎸ ᎢᏥᎨᏳᏒ ᏕᎤᏙᎥᎢ. ᎾᏍᎩ ᏕᏥᏍᏕᎸᎯᏙᎸ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏘ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏏᏉ ᏕᏥᏍᏕᎵᏍᎬᎢ.
For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labour of love which you showed towards his name, in that you served the holy ones, and still do serve them.
11 ᎠᎴ ᎣᎦᏚᎵᎭ ᏂᏥᎥ ᎢᏥᏏᏴᏫᎭ ᎨᏒ ᎬᎵᏍᏆᏗᏍᎩ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎢᎦᎢ ᎢᏣᏟᏂᎬᏁᏗᏱ ᎬᏂ ᎤᏣᏘ ᏄᏜᏓᏏᏛᏒᎾ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎬᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏫᏥᏱᎶᎸᎭ;
We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end,
12 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏞᏍᏗ ᎢᏣᏓᏄᎸᏗᏉ ᏱᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᏗᏥᏍᏓᏩᏕᎩᏍᎩᏂ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎤᏃᎯᏳᏒ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏅᏂᏗᏳ ᎨᏒ ᎠᏅᏗᏍᎬ ᎤᎾᏤᎵ ᏄᏅᏁᎸ ᎠᏚᎢᏍᏔᏅᎢ.
that you won’t be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherited the promises.
13 ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏰᏃ ᎡᏆᎭᎻ ᎤᏚᎢᏍᏓᏁᎸ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎩᎶ ᏅᏩᏓᎴ ᎤᏟ ᎢᏯᏥᎸᏉᏗ ᏒᎲ ᎬᏩᏎᎵᏙᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏎᎢ, ᎤᏩᏒ ᎡᎲ ᎤᏎᎵᏙᏔᏁᎢ,
For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,
14 ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ, ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎤᏣᏘ ᎣᏍᏛ ᏅᏓᎬᏯᏛᏁᎵ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏣᏘ ᏓᎬᏁᏉᎢ.
saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”
15 ᎰᏩᏃ ᎪᎯᏗᏳ ᎤᎦᏘᏛ ᎠᏥᏁᎴ ᎠᏚᎢᏍᏔᏅᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ.
Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 ᏴᏫᏰᏃ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎤᏟ ᎢᏯᏥᎸᏉᏗ ᎡᎲ ᎨᎦᏎᎵᏙᏗᏍᎪᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎠᏎᎵᏔᏅᎯ ᎨᏒ ( ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ) ᎠᏍᏓᏱᏗᏍᏙᏗ ᎠᏲᎯᏍᏗᏍᎩ ᎨᏐ ᎠᎾᏗᏒᎯᎲᎢ.
For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.
17 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏚᎵᏍᎬ ᎤᏟ ᎢᎦᎢ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎢᏧᏩᏁᏗᏱ ᎨᏥᏚᎢᏍᏓᏁᎸᎯ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᏓᏁᏟᏴᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒ ᏄᏍᏛ ᎠᏓᏅᏖᏍᎬᎢ, ᎠᏎᎵᏛᏍᎬ ᎤᏍᏓᏱᏍᏔᏁᎢ.
In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath,
18 ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏔᎵ ᏄᎵᏁᏨ ᏕᏛᏗᏍᎬ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᏓᏁᏟᏴᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎾᎿᎭᎬᏩᏥᎪᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᏥᎨᎭ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ, ᎠᏴ ᎢᎩᏲᎸᎯ ᏥᎩ ᎢᎦᏗᏍᎦᎶᏗᏱ, ᎤᎵᏂᎩᏛ ᎢᎩᎦᎵᏍᏓᏗᏍᎩ ᎨᎩᏩᏛᏗ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏗᎩᏂᏴᏗᏱ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎬᏗ ᎡᎩᏩᏌᏓᏁᎲᎢ;
that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.
19 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎬᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎠᏓᏅᏙ ᎦᎾᎯᏍᏙᏗ ᏥᎩ, ᎡᏍᎦ ᏂᎦᎵᏍᏗᏍᎬᎾ ᎠᎴ ᎬᏗᏏᏴᏍᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏩᏴᎯᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏰᏙᎳᏛ ᎤᏗᏗᏢ;
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil,
20 ᎾᎿᎭᏥᏌ ᎢᎬᏱ ᎡᎩ ᏫᎩᏴᏎᎸᎯ ᏥᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᎬᏫᏳᏒ ᎠᏥᎸ-ᎨᎶᎯ ᏂᎪᎯᎸ ᎠᏥᎧᏅᎯ ᏥᎩ, ᎺᎵᎩᏏᏕᎩ ᏄᏍᏛ ᎾᏍᎩᏯᎢ. (aiōn g165)
