< ᎨᏥᏅᏏᏛ ᏄᎾᏛᏁᎵᏙᎸᎢ 12 >

1 ᎾᎯᏳᏃ ᎡᎶᏛ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᎴᏅᎮ ᏚᏕᏯᏙᏔᏁ ᎢᎦᏛ ᏧᎾᏁᎶᏗ ᎤᎾᏓᏡᎬᎢ.
Now about that time, Herod the king stretched out his hands to oppress some of the church.
2 ᎠᏰᎳᏍᏗᏃ ᎦᏅᎯᏛ ᎤᏩᏔᏁ ᎤᎴ ᏥᎻ ᏣᏂ ᏗᎾᏓᏅᏟ.
He killed Yaquv, the brother of Yukhanan, with the sword.
3 ᎤᏙᎴᎰᏒᏃ ᎣᏏᏳ ᎠᏂᏰᎸᏍᎬ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ, ᏈᏓ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎤᏂᏴᎮᎢ. ᎾᎯᏳᏃ ᎾᎪᏔᏅᎾ ᎦᏚ ᎠᎩᏍᏗᏱ ᎨᏎᎢ.
When he saw that it pleased the Jewish people, he proceeded to seize Kipha also. This was during the days of unleavened bread.
4 ᎤᏂᏴᎲᏃ ᏗᏓᏍᏚᏗᏱ ᎤᏴᏔᏁᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᏲᎯᏎᎴ ᏅᎩ ᎢᏗᏂᎢᏛ ᏅᎩ ᏄᎾᏓᏡᎬ ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎩ ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏗᏍᎩ, ᎧᏃᎯᏰᎩ ᏗᎵᏍᏓᏴᏗᏱ ᎤᎶᏐᏅᎯ ᏴᏫ ᏧᎾᏄᎪᏫᏎᏗᏱ ᎤᏰᎸᏎᎢ.
When he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of four soldiers each to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the Passover.
5 ᏈᏓᏃ ᎠᏥᏍᏚᎮᎢ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏧᎾᏁᎶᏗ ᎤᎾᏓᏡᎬ ᎤᎵᏂᎩᏗᏳ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏖ ᎠᎾᏓᏙᎵᏍᏓᏁᎮ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏥᏍᏕᎸᏗᏱ.
Kipha therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the church to God for him.
6 ᎾᎯᏳᏃ ᎡᎶᏛ ᎤᎾᏄᎪᏫᏏᏗᏎᎢ, ᎾᎯᏳ ᏒᏃᏱ ᏈᏓ ᎦᎵᎮ ᎠᏰᎵ ᎠᏂᏔᎵ ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎩ ᏓᏂᏅᎬᎢ, ᏔᎵ ᏧᏓᏕᏒᏛ ᏓᎦᎸᏍᏕᎢ, ᎠᏂᎦᏘᏯᏃ ᎦᎶᎯᏍᏗᏳᎶᏗ ᎠᏂᏂ ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎨ ᏗᏓᏍᏚᏗᏱ.
The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Kipha was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.
7 ᎬᏂᏳᏉᏃ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎤᎴᏂᎴ ᎦᏅᎬᎢ, ᎢᎦᏃ ᎤᏙᏤ ᏗᏓᏍᏚᏗᏱ; ᎤᏩᏂᎸᏃ ᏈᏓ ᎠᏍᏆᎨᏂ, ᏕᎤᎴᏔᏁᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᏔᎴᎲᎦ ᏞᎩᏳ. ᏧᏓᏕᏒᏛᏃ ᏚᏙᎠᏎ ᏧᏬᏰᏂ.
And look, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Kipha on the side, and woke him up, saying, "Stand up quickly." His chains fell off from his hands.
8 ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯᏃ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᎭᏓᏠᎦ, ᎠᎴ ᏔᎳᏑᎸᎦ. ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᏄᏛᏁᎴᎢ. ᎯᎠᏃ ᏄᏪᏎᎴᎢ; ᎭᏄᏬᏣ ᎠᎴ ᏍᎩᏍᏓᏩᏚᎦ.
The angel said to him, "Get dressed and put on your sandals." He did so. He said to him, "Put on your cloak, and follow me."
9 ᎤᏄᎪᏨᏃ ᎤᏍᏓᏩᏛᏎᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᏯᎦᏔᎮ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎨᏒ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᏄᏛᏁᎸᎢ, ᎠᏆᏁᎳᏫᏎᏉ ᎡᎵᏍᎨᎢ.
And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.
10 ᎢᎬᏱᏱᏃ ᎠᎴ ᏔᎵᏁ, ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎬ ᎤᏂᎶᏒ ᏭᏂᎷᏤ ᏔᎷᎩᏍᎩ ᏗᏍᏚᏛ ᏗᎦᏚᎲ ᏫᎦᎾᏄᎪᎢᏍᏗᏍᎬᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏩᏒᏉ ᎤᎾᎵᏍᏚᎢᎡᎴᎢ. ᎤᏂᏄᎪᏨᏃ ᏌᏉ ᎦᎳᏅᏛ ᎤᏂᎶᏎᎢ, ᎩᎳᏉᏃ ᎢᏴᏛ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎤᏓᏓᎴᏔᏁᎢ.
When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
11 ᏈᏓᏃ ᎤᏓᏅᏘᏌᏅ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᎿᎭᏉ ᎦᏙᎴᎣᎯ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏧᏅᏒ ᎤᏤᎵ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏇᏓᎴᏒ ᎡᎶᏛ ᏥᏓᎩᏂᏴᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎤᏚᎩ ᏧᏅᏒ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ.
When Kipha had come to himself, he said, "Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting."
12 ᎤᏓᏅᏖᎸᏃ ᏭᎷᏤ ᏗᎦᏁᎸ ᎺᎵ, ᏣᏂ ᎹᎦ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ ᎤᏥ, ᎾᎿᎭᎤᏂᏣᏖ ᏓᏂᎳᏫᎡ ᎠᎾᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗᏍᎨᎢ.
Thinking about that, he came to the house of Maryam, the mother of Yukhanan whose surname was Markos, where many were gathered together and were praying.
13 ᏈᏗᏃ ᏭᏩᏂᎸ ᎠᏍᏚᎲ ᎦᎶᎯᏍᏗᏱ, ᎠᏛ ᎶᏗ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ ᏧᏛᏓᏍᏔᏅᏎᎢ;
And when Kipha knocked at the door of the gate, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer.
14 ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎤᏬᎵᏨ ᏈᏓ ᎦᏬᏂᏍᎬᎢ ᎣᏒ ᎤᏰᎸᏒ ᏅᏓᎵᏍᏙᏔᏁ ᏄᏍᏚᎢᏒᎾᏉ ᎨᏎ ᎦᎶᎯᏍᏗᏱ, ᏚᏍᏆᎸᏔᏁᏉ ᏭᏴᎴᎢ ᎠᎴ ᏭᏃᏁ ᏈᏓ ᎦᏙᎬ ᎦᎶᎯᏍᏗᏳᎶᏗ.
When she recognized Kipha's voice, she did not open the gate for joy, but ran in, and reported that Kipha was standing in front of the gate.
15 ᎯᎠᏃ ᏂᎬᏩᏪᏎᎴᎢ, ᏣᎸᏃᏘᏉ. ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᏍᏓᏱᏕᏉ ᎧᏁᎬᎢ, ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᏍᏗ, ᎤᏛᏁᎢ. ᎯᎠᏃ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᏓᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯᏉ.
They said to her, "You are crazy." But she insisted that it was so. They said, "It is his angel."
16 ᎠᏎᏃ ᏈᏓ ᎠᏏᏉ ᏗᎬᏂᎮᎢ; ᎤᏂᏍᏚᎢᏒᏃ ᎬᏩᎪᎮᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏍᏆᏂᎪᏎᎢ.
But Kipha continued knocking. When they had opened, they saw him, and were amazed.
17 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᏬᏰᏂ ᎤᏖᎸᏅ ᎡᎳᏪ ᎤᏅᏗᏱ, ᏚᏃᏁᎴ ᏄᎵᏍᏔᏅ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏄᎪᏫᏒ ᏗᏓᏍᏚᏗᏱ. ᎠᎴ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ; ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏫᏗᏥᏃᎲᏏ ᏥᎻ ᎠᎴ ᏦᏣᏓᏅᏟ. ᎤᏄᎪᏤᏃ ᎢᎸᎯᏢ ᏭᎶᏎᎢ.
But he, beckoning to them with his hand to be silent, declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. He said, "Tell these things to Yaquv, and to the brothers." Then he departed, and went to another place.
18 ᎢᎦᏃ ᏄᎵᏍᏔᏅ ᎥᏝ ᎤᏍᏗᏉ ᏳᎾᏕᏯᏔᏁᎴ ᎠᏂᏯᏫᏍᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏈᏓ ᏫᏄᏛᏁᏔᏅᎢ.
Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Kipha.
19 ᎡᎶᏛᏃ ᎤᏲᎸ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏠᏨ ᏚᎪᎵᏰᎡ ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏛᎯ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏁᏤ ᏧᏂᏲᎱᎯᏍᏗᏱ. ᏧᏗᏱᏃ ᎤᏓᏅᏒ, ᏏᏌᎵᏱ ᏭᏕᏁᎢ.
When Herod had sought for him, and did not find him, he examined the guards, and commanded that they should be put to death. He went down from Yehuda to Qesarya, and stayed there.
20 ᎡᎶᏛᏃ ᏚᏔᎳᏬᎯᏎᎴ ᏓᏯ ᎠᎴ ᏌᏙᏂ ᎠᏁᎯ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏌᏉ ᎢᎦᎦᏛ ᎬᏩᎷᏤᎴᎢ, ᎤᎾᎵᎢᏛᏃ ᏆᎳᏍᏓ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏂᏏᏗᏱ ᎠᏥᎦᏘᏗᏍᏗ, ᏙᎯᏱ ᎢᏳᏅᏁᏗᏱ ᎤᏂᏔᏲᏎᎴᎢ; ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎪᎯᏰᏃ ᎤᎵᏍᏕᎸᏙᏕ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏤᎵᎪᎯ.
Now Herod was very angry with the people of Tsur and Tsaidan. They came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus, the king's personal aide, their friend, they asked for peace, because their country depended on the king's country for food.
21 ᏓᏒᏍᏛᏃ ᎤᏍᏆᎸᎲ ᎡᎶᏛ ᎤᏄᏬᎥ ᎤᏂᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᎾᏄᏬᏍᏗ, ᎤᏪᏁ ᎢᏅ ᎢᎦᏘ ᎦᏍᎩᎸᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᎵᏥᏙᏁᎴᎢ.
On an appointed day, Herod dressed himself in royal clothing, and sat on the throne, and gave a speech to them.
22 ᏴᏫᏃ ᎤᏁᎳᏁᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏎᎢ; ᎦᎸᎳᏗ ᎡᎯ ᎧᏁᎦ, ᎥᏝᏃ ᏴᏫ.
But the crowd shouted, "The voice of a god, and not of a man."
23 ᎩᎳᏉᏃ ᎢᏴᏛ ᏗᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎤᏩᏂᎴᎢ, ᏅᏧᎵᏍᏙᏔᏁ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏄᎸᏉᏔᏅᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ. ᏥᏍᎪᏴᏃ ᎬᏩᏯᎥ ᎤᏲᎱᏎᎢ.
Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.
24 ᎧᏃᎮᏛᏍᎩᏂ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎠᏛᏃᏍᎨᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎧᏁᏉᎨᎢ.
But the word of God grew and multiplied.
25 ᏆᏂᏉᏃ ᎠᎴ ᏐᎳ ᏭᏂᏍᏆᏛ ᎨᏥᏁᏤᎸᎢ, ᎤᏂᎷᏤ ᏥᎷᏏᎵᎻ ᏗᎤᏂᎶᏎᎢ, ᎤᎾᏘᏃᎴᏃ ᏣᏂ ᎹᎦ ᏧᏙᎢᏛ.
Bar-Naba and Shaul returned to Urishlim, when they had fulfilled their service, also taking with them Yukhanan whose surname was Markos.
