1 YA ayo sija na jaane anae lumamegae y disipulo sija, mangogonggong y Helenitas sija contra y Hebreo sija, sa y manbiuda guiya sija, ti manmaatiende gui sinetbeñija cada jaane.
And in these days, the disciples multiplying, there came a murmuring of the Hellenists at the Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily ministration,
2 Ayonae y dose, jaagang y manadan disipulo guato guiya sija, ya ilegñija: Ti tunas na tapolo y sinangan Yuus, ya tasetbe y lamasa sija.
and the twelve, having called near the multitude of the disciples, said, 'It is not pleasing that we, having left the word of God, do minister at tables;
3 Enaomina mañelo, aligao entre jamyo siete na taotao ni y manmauleg, ni y manbula Espiritu, yan minejnalom, ya tapolo para este na chocho.
look out, therefore, brethren, seven men of you who are well testified of, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may set over this necessity,
4 Lao jita, tasigueja fitme y manmanaetae, yan y sinetbe y sinangan.
and we to prayer, and to the ministration of the word, will give ourselves continually.'
5 Ya ayo na sinangan, ninafanmagof y manada todo; ya maayeg si Esteban, un taotao na bula jinenggue yan Espiritu Santo, yan si Felipe, yan si Prócoro, yan si Nicanor, yan si Timón, yan si Parmenas, yan si Nicolás proseliton Antioquia.
And the thing was pleasing before all the multitude, and they did choose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch,
6 Ya manmaplanta gui menan y apostoles: ya anae munjayan manmanaetae, japolo y canaeñija gui jiloñija.
whom they did set before the apostles, and they, having prayed, laid on them [their] hands.
7 Ya y sinangan Yuus lumalamegae; ya y disipulo megae manmaumentaña guiya Jerusalem; ya dangculon manadan mamale locue, manmanosgue ni y jinenggue.
And the word of God did increase, and the number of the disciples did multiply in Jerusalem exceedingly; a great multitude also of the priests were obedient to the faith.
8 Ya si Esteban, bula y grasia yan ninasifia, jafatinas namanman na milagro yan señat gui entalo y taotao sija.
And Stephen, full of faith and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people,
9 Lao guaja mangajulo güije gui sinagoga ni y manmafanaan sinagogan Libertinos, yan Sireneo sija, yan Alejandrino sija, yan ayo sija iya Silisia, yan Asia, managuaguat yan si Esteban.
and there arose certain of those of the synagogue, called of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia, and Asia, disputing with Stephen,
10 Lao tisiña macontra y tiningo, yan y Espiritu ni y jasangan.
and they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit with which he was speaking;
11 Ya manmasusuug y taotao sija na ujaalog: Injingogja güe na jasangan y chinatfino contra si Moises, yan contra si Yuus.
then they suborned men, saying — 'We have heard him speaking evil sayings in regard to Moses and God.'
12 Ya manafangalamten y taotao sija, yan y manamco, yan y escribasija; ya manmato guiya güiya, ya macone güe guato gui sinedrio,
They did stir up also the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and having come upon [him], they caught him, and brought [him] to the sanhedrim;
13 Ya manmamalo testigo na ti magajet, ni ilegñija: Este na taotao ti malago bumasta cumuentos chinatfino contra este y santos na lugat, yan contra y tinago:
they set up also false witnesses, saying, 'This one doth not cease to speak evil sayings against this holy place and the law,
14 Sa injingogja gue ilegña, na este y as Jesus taotao Nasaret uyulang este na lugat, yan utulaeca, y costumbre ni y jaentregajit si Moises.
for we have heard him saying, That this Jesus the Nazarean shall overthrow this place, and shall change the customs that Moses delivered to us;'
15 Ya todo ayo sija y manmatatachong gui sinedrio, maaatan güe, ya malie y mataña na calang matan angjet.
and gazing at him, all those sitting in the sanhedrim saw his face as it were the face of a messenger.
