Y Checho Y Apostoles Sija 19
1 YA susede mientras estataba si Apolos guiya Corinto, si Pablo malofan gui managquilo na costa ya mato Efeso: ya mañoda palo disipulo sija güije.
And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 Ya ilegña nu sija: Inresibe y Espiritu Santo desde qui manmanjonggue jamyo? Ya ilegñija: Taya nae injingog cao esta manae Espiritu Santo.
He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 Ya ilegña nu sija: Jafa nae manmatagpangenmiyo? Ya sija ilegñija: Y tinagpangen Juan.
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Ayonae ilegña si Pablo: Si Juan, magajet na managpapange ni y tinagpangen sinetsot, ya jasangane y taotao sija, na ujajonggue ayo y ufato despues di güiya, ayo y as Cristo Jesus.
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 Ya anae jajungog sija este, manmatagpange ni y naan y Señot Jesus.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 Ya anae munjayan japlanta si Pablo y canaeña gui jiloñija, y Espiritu Santo mato gui jiloñija: ya manguentos ni y tifinoñija, ya manmanprofetisa.
And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7 Ayo sija todos dose na taotao lalaje.
And all the men were about twelve.
8 Ya jumalom si Pablo gui sinagoga, ya cumuentos libre tres meses; jasangan yan y animo gui raenon Yuus.
And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
9 Lao anae palo manmajetog, ya ti manmalago manmanjonggue, ya manguecuentos taelaye pot ayo na Chalan gui menan y linajyan taotao, sumuja si Pablo guiya sija, ya janafañuja y disipulo sija, ya manadingan cada jaane gui escuelan Tiranno.
But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10 Ya dos años di mafatinas este: para todo ayo y mañasaga Asia ujajungog y sinangan y Señot Jesus, parejoja y Judio yan y Griego sija.
And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
11 Ya jafatinas si Yuus milagro pot y canae Pablo:
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 Para guinin y tataotaoña nae umachule paño sija para y manmalango, ya y chetnot ufañuja guiya sija; yan y manaelaye na espiritu ufanjuyong guiya sija.
So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
13 Ya palo Judios na manaesagañija, taotao binanggelio, japrocura na jasangan nu ayo sija y manguaja taelaye na espiritu y naan y Señot Jesus, ilegñija: Innafanjula jao pot si Jesus, ni y japredidica si Pablo.
Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 Ya guaja siete na lalaje, famaguon un Judio ni naaña si Sceva, ya magas mamale, na jafatinas este sija.
And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 Ya manope y taelaye na espiritu, ilegña: Si Jesus jutungo, yan si Pablo jutungo; lao jaye jamyo?
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 Ya y taotao ni y guaja taelaye na espiritu, tumayog gui jiloñija; ya jagana sija, sa mas gaeninasiñaña qui sija; ya esta manmalago sija güije na guma, manerido yan taya magaguñija.
And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
17 Ya matungo este todo ni y Judios, yan y Griego sija yan ayo sija y mañasaga Efeso; ya podong y minaañao gui jiloñija todos, ya manadangculo y naan y Señot Jesus.
And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
18 Ya megae ni y manmanjonggue manmato, ya mangonfesat manmañangane ni y chechoñija.
And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
19 Ya megae ni ayo sija locue y umuusa y magica jachule y leblonñija, ya jasonggue gui menan todo y taotao: ya matufong y balenñija, ya masoda na sincuenta mil na pidason salape,
Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 Ya taegüenao mumegagaeña y ninasiñan y sinangan Yuus.
So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
21 Ya despues di este sija, jajaso si Pablo gui espirituña, anae malofan inanaco Masedonia yan Acaya na ujanao para Jerusalem, ilegña: Yaguin esta matoyo güije, nesesita yo na julie locue Roma.
After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
22 Ya depues di jatago dos para Masedonia ni y sumesetbe güe, si Timoteo yan Erasto, güiya sumagaja Asia un rato.
So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timothy and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.
23 Ya ayo na tiempo guaja güije atboroto pot ayo na Chalan.
And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
24 Sa un platero na taotao na y naanña si Demetrio, ya mamatitinas attat salape para si Diana, ya ti didide na ganansia chinileleña para y manmamatitinas.
For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;
25 Ya janaetnon yan todo y manmachochocho ni y taegüije, ya ilegña: Señores, intingoja na este na chocho nae manmañoñodajit güinajata.
Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.
26 Ya inliija yan injingog, na ti ayoja iya Efeso, lao cana todo iya Asia nae megae na taotao jasuug si Pablo, yan jabira, sa ilegña na ti manyuus ayo sija y finatinas canae.
Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:
27 Ya ti esteja nae uguaja peligro y chechota na unafanaebale lao asta y templon y dangculo na yuus si Diana umarechasa, ya y tinaquiloña umayulang, ni y todo iya Asia yan todo y tano umadodora.
So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.
28 Ya anae jajungog sija este na sinangan, ninafangosbubu, ya managang ilegñija: Dangculo y Dianan Efesios.
And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
29 Ya y siuda bula atboroto; ya mandaña unoja ya manjalom gui teatro ya macone si Gayo yan Aristarco, taotao Masedonia mangachong Pablo gui jinanaoña.
And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.
30 Ya malago si Pablo na ufalag y anae mangaegue y taotao sija; lao ti mapolo ni y disipulo.
And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.
31 Ya palo ni y manmagas Asia ni y manamiguña, manmanago na umasangane na chaña jumalom güe gui teatro.
And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
32 Ya y palo, managang un inagang: ya y palo, otro inagang; sa manatborotao y dinana; ya megaeña ti tumungo jafa na mandaña sija.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.
33 Ya macone si Alejandro gui entre y linajyan taotao, ya mapolo mona ni y Judios, ya mañeñas si Alejandro ni y canaeña na ufanmamatquilo, sa malago umadingane y taotao sija,
And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.
34 Lao anae matungo na Judio güe, todos managang gui un inagang buente dos oras, ilegñija: Dangculo y Dianan Efesios.
But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
35 Ya anae y secretario y inetnon magalalaje munjayan janaquieto y taotao, ilegña nu sija: Jamyo ni y taotao Efeso, jafa na taotao ayo y ti jatungo na y siuda Efesios manmanadodora ni y dangculo na yuus Diana, yan y imagen ni y podong guinin y Jupiter?
And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?
36 Inlie na estesija ti siña macontra, nesesita na infanmamatquilo, ya chamiyo fumatitinas jafa.
Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
37 Sa jamyo cumone mague este sija na taotao, na ti mañaque gui guimayuus, ni ujachatfino contra y yuusmiyo.
For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of temples, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.
38 Yaguin si Demetrio yan y palo ni y mangachongña guaja quejanñija contra y otro taotao: guaja tribunal y lay: ya guaja y jues; polo ya ufanafaaela uno y otro.
Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.
39 Lao yaguin inseda jamyo jafa pot otro sija, umafatinas gui inetnon y magalalaje taemanoja y lay.
But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.
40 Sa mangaeguejit gui peligro, na utafanmafaesen pot este sija na atboroto, ya taya jafa siña urasonta pot este.
For we are in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.
41 Ya anae munjayan cumuentos, janajanao y dinaña.
And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.
