Y Checho Y Apostoles Sija 1
1 Y finenana na sinangan, jutugue, O Teofilo, pot todo ayo sija, na si Jesus jatutujon fumatinas, yan mamanagüe.
THE former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
4 Ya mandaña yan sija, ya jatago sija na chañija fanjajanao Jerusalem, lao ujanangga y promesan y Tata ni y, ilegña, injingog guiya guajo:
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 Sa si Juan magajet na managpapange ni y janom: lao jamyo infanmatagpange ni y Espiritu Santo ti megae na jaane desde pago.
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
6 Enao mina, ayo sija y mandaña, finaesen güe, ilegñija: Señot, malago jao unnatalo guato y raeno guiya Israel?
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 Ya güiya ilegña nu sija: Ti para jamyo intingo y jaane yan y tiempo sija, ni y pinelon y Tata gui ninasiñañaja.
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 Lao jamyo infanmanresibe y ninasiña anae si Espiritu Santo ufato gui jilo miyo: yan jamyo utestigojo sija, iya Jerusalem yan todo iya Judea yan Samaria, yan asta y uttimon y tano.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 Ya anae munjayan jasangan este na güinaja, mientras maaatan güe, machule güe gui sanjilo; ya y mapagajes rinesibe güe, guinen liniiñija.
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 Ya anae maaatan fitme y langet, anae mapos güe, estagüe dos taotao na minagagon ápaca, manotojgue jijot guiya sija.
And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Ni y ilegñija locue: Jamyo taotao Galilea, jafa na manotojgue jamyo ya inaatan julo y langet? este mismo si Jesus ni y maresibe gui sanjilo guinen iya jamyo para y langet, umamaela talo taegüijeja anae inlie güe jumanao para y langet.
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Ayo nae sija manalo guato Jerusalem guinen y egso Olibo, ni y jijot Jerusalem, gui sabado na jaana na jinanao.
Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
13 Ya anae sija manjalom, manjanao julo gui sanjilo na cuarto anae mañasaga todos, si Pedro yan si Juan yan si Santiago yan si Andres yan si Felipe yan si Tomas yan si Bartolome yan si Mateo yan si Santiago lajin Alfeo yan si Simon Selote yan si Judas chelun Santiago.
And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphæus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 Estesija todo mañasagaja gui un jinasoja na tinaetae, yan manmangagagao fitme, yan y palo famalaoan sija yan si Maria nanan Jesus, yan y mañeluña lalaje sija.
These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 Ya ayo sija na jaane, si Pedro tumojgue julo gui entalo y mañelo, ya y numeron y mandaña guaja siento y bente. Ya ilegña:
And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty, )
16 Lalaje an mañelo, nesesita umacumple este na tinigue ni y jasangan antes y Espiritu Santo gui pachot David pot si Judas ni umesgaejon ayo sija y cumone si Jesus.
Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
17 Sa güiya estaba matufong guiya jita, yan guaja patteña güine na sinetbe.
For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
18 Este na taotao, mamajan un fangualuan ni y apas y tinaelayeña; ya japodong papa y mapta tiyanña, ya malagnos todo tilipasña.
Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
19 Ya este matungo todo ni y mañasaga guiya Jerusalem; ya pot enao na mafanaan ayo na fangualuan ni y finoñija: Aqueldama, comequeilegña, Fangualuan jâgâ.
And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
20 Sa esta matugue gui leblon y Salmos: Polo ya y sagaña umayulang ya taya taotao sumagaye: ya y ofisioña otro chumule.
For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
21 Gui entalo estesija na taotao y mangachochongta todo y tiempo anae y Señot Jesus jumalom yan jumuyong guiya jita,
Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22 Matutujon guinen y tinagpangen Juan asta ayo na jaane anae maresibe gui sanjilo guinen iya jita, nesesita uno gui entalo sija umatancho testigo yan jita ni y quinajuluña.
Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
23 Ya matancho dos, si José ni y mafanaan Barsabas ni y apiyiduña Justo, yan si Matias.
And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 Ya manmanaetae ilegñija: Jago Señot ni y tumungo y corason y taotao todo, famanue jaye güine gui dos unayeg.
And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
26 Ya manmanae ni y suertenñija; ya y suerte podong gui as Matias; ya güiya matufong gui onse na apostoles.
And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
