Deuteronomio 20

1 Sa diha nga moadto ka sa pagpanggubat batok sa imong mga kaaway, ug makakita ug mga kabayo, ug mga carro, ug usa ka katawohan nga labaw kay kanimo, dili ka mahadlok kanila; kay si Jehova nga imong Dios nagauban kanimo, ang nagkuha kanimo gikan sa yuta sa Egipto.

If thou goist out to batel ayens thin enemyes, and seest multitude of knyytis, and charis, and grettere multitude of the aduersarie oost than thou hast, thou schalt not drede hem; for thi Lord God is with thee, that ledde thee out of the lond of Egipt.

2 Ug mahitabo, nga sa magakaduol kamo sa gubat, moabut ang sacerdote ug magasulti sa katawohan,

Sotheli whanne the batel neiyeth now, the preest schal stonde bifor the scheltrun, and thus he schal speke to the puple,

3 Ug magaingon kanila: Patalinghug ka, Israel, kamo magatingub karon sa pagpanggubat batok sa inyong mga kaaway; dili pagpaluyahon ang inyong kasingkasing; dili kamo mahadlok, ni mangurog, ni mangalisang sa atubangan nila;

Thou, Israel, here to dai, ye han batel ayens youre enemyes; youre herte drede not, `nyle ye drede; nyle ye yyue stede, drede ye not hem;

4 Kay si Jehova nga inyong Dios magalakaw uban kaninyo sa pagpakig-away alang kaninyo batok sa inyong mga kaaway, aron sa pagluwas kaninyo.

for youre Lord God is in the myddis of you, and he schal fiyte for you ayens aduersaries, that he delyuere you fro perel.

5 Ug ang mga punoan sa mga sundalo magasulti sa katawohan nga magaingon: Kinsa bang tawohana ang nakatukod ug balay nga bag-o, ug wala magpahanungod niini? Palakta siya ug papaulia sa iyang balay, tingali unya kong siya mamatay sa panggubatan, ug laing tawo ang magpahanungod niini.

7 Ug kinsa ba ang nakapakasal sa usa ka babaye, ug wala siya makadawat kaniya? Palakta siya ug papaulia sa iyang balay, tingali unya kong siya mamatay sa panggubatan, ug laing tawo ang makadawat kaniya.

8 Ug ang punoan sa mga sundalo managsulti pa sa katawohan, ug magaingon sila: Kinsa ba ang tawo nga mahadlokon ug maluya ug kasingkasing? Palakta siya ug papaulia sa iyang balay, tingali unya matunaw ang kasingkasing sa iyang mga igsoon ingon sa iyang kasingkasing.

Whanne these thingis ben seid, thei schulen adde othere thingis, and schulen speke to the peple, Who is a ferdful man, and of gastful herte? go he, and turne ayen in to his hows, lest he make `the hertis of his britheren for to drede, as he is agast bi drede.

9 Ug mahitabo nga kong ang mga punoan sa mga sundalo makahuman na sa pagsulti sa katawohan, magabutang sila ug mga pangulo sa mga kasundalohan sa pagmando sa katawohan.

And whanne the duykis of the oost ben stille, and han maad ende of speking, ech `of the princis and cheuenteyns of the oost schal make redie his cumpeneyes to batel.

10 Sa diha nga magakahaduol ka sa usa ka ciudad aron sa pagpakig-away batok niini, unya igapahibalo mo ang pakigdait niini.

If ony tyme thou schalt go to a citee to ouercome it, first thou schalt profire pees to it.

11 Ug mahitabo nga kong kini motubag kanimo ug pakigdait, ug magaabli alang kanimo, ang tanan nga mga tawo nga hikaplagan sa sulod, mahimong mga sakup nimo, ug magaalagad kanimo.

12 Ug kong kini dili magahimo ug pakigdait kanimo, kondili magapakiggubat batok kanimo, unya pagalikosan mo kini.

13 Unya kong si Jehova nga imong Dios magatugyan niini sa imong kamot, pagapatyon mo ang tagsatagsa ka lalake niya uban sa sulab sa pinuti:

14 Apan ang mga babaye, ug ang mga bata, ug ang kahayupan, ug ang tanan nga anaa sa ciudad, bisan ang tanan nga mga inagaw kanila, pagakuhaon mo nga alang kanimo: ug pagakan-on mo ang inagaw sa imong mga kaaway, nga gitugyan kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios.

15 Mao kini ang pagabuhaton mo sa tanan nga mga ciudad nga atua sa labing halayo kanimo, nga dili mga ciudad niining mga nasud.

Thus thou schalt do to alle the citees, that ben ful fer fro thee, and ben not of these citees which thou schalt take in to possessioun.

16 Apan sa mga ciudad niining mga katawohan nga gihatag kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios sa usa ka panulondon, walay pagapagawason mo nga buhi sa bisan unsang butanga nga nagaginhawa;

Sotheli of these citees that schulen be youun to thee, thou schalt not suffre eny to lyue,

17 Hinonoa pagalaglagon mo sila gayud: ang mga Hetehanon, ug ang mga Amorehanon, ug ang mga Canaanhon, ug ang mga Peresehanon, ug ang mga Hebehanon, ug ang mga Jebusehanon; ingon sa gisugo kanimo ni Jehova nga imong Dios;

but thou schalt sle bi the scharpnesse of swerd; that is to seie, Ethei, and Ammorrey, and Cananei, Ferezei, Euey, and Jebusei, as `thi Lord God comaundide to thee;

18 Aron sila dili makatudlo kaninyo sa pagbuhat sa ilang mga dulumtanan, nga ilang ginabuhat sa ilang mga dios, ug kamo makasala batok kang Jehova nga inyong Dios.

lest perauenture thei techen you to do alle abhomynaciouns, whiche thei wrouyten to her goddis, and ye doon synne ayens youre Lord God.

19 Sa diha nga magalikos ka sa usa ka ciudad sa hataas nga panahon sa pagpakig-away batok niini, aron sa pagkuha niini, dili mo pagputlon ang iyang kakahoyan pinaagi sa pagbakyaw kanila sa wasay; kay kanila makakaon ka, ug dili mo sila pagaputlon; kay ang kahoy sa kapatagan tawo ba aron pagalikosan?

Whanne thou hast bisegid a citee `in myche tyme, and hast cumpassid with strengthingis that thou ouercome it, thou schalt not kitte doun trees, of whiche `me may ete, nether thou schalt waste the cuntrey `bi cumpas with axis; for it is `a tree, and not man, nether it may encresse the noumbre of fiyteris ayens thee.

20 Ugaling ang mga kahoy nga imong hibaloan nga dili kahoy alang sa pagkaon, pagalaglagon ug pagaputlon mo sila; ug pagatukoron mo ang mga bantayanan batok sa ciudad nga magapakig-away batok kanimo, hangtud nga kini mapukan.

Forsothe if onye ben not appil trees, but `of the feeld, and ben able in to othere vsis, kitte doun, and make thou engynes, til thou take the citee that fiytith ayens thee.
