2 Samuel 6

1 Karon gitigom ni David pag-usab ang tanang 30, 000 ka piniling kalalakin-an sa Israel.

And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

2 Mibarog si David ug milakaw uban sa tanang katawhan nga nag-uban kaniya gikan sa Baala sa Juda aron dad-on didto ang sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios, nga gitawag pinaagi sa ngalan ni Yahweh nga pangulo sa kasundalohang anghel, nga naglingkod ibabaw sa kerubim.

And David arose, and went with all the people who were with him to Baalah, that is, Kiriath Jearim of Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called there by the name of the LORD of hosts enthroned on the cherubim.

3 Gipahimutang nila ang sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios sa bag-ong karomata. Gidala nila kini pagawas gikan sa balay ni Abinadab, nga anaa sa bungtod. Si Uza ug si Ahio, ang iyang mga anak nga lalaki, naggiya sa bag-ong karomata.

And they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was on the hill. And Uzza and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, guided the cart

4 Gidala nila pagawas ang karomata sa balay ni Abinadab didto sa bungtod uban ang sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios nga anaa niini. Naglakaw si Ahio atubangan sa sudlanan sa kasabotan.

with the ark; and Ahio was walking in front of the ark.

5 Unya si David ug ang tanang panimalay sa Israel nagsugod sa pagtugtog ngadto kang Yahweh, nagadayeg pinaagi sa mga kahoy nga tulonggon, mga alpa, mga lira, mga tambor, mga marakas ug piyangpiyang.

And David and all the children of Israel played before the LORD with all their strength and with songs, and with harps, and with stringed instruments, and with tambourines, and with castanets, and with cymbals.

6 Sa dihang miabot sila sa salog nga giukanan ni Nakon, nalup-og ang torong baka, ug gituy-od ni Uza ang iyang kamot aron gunitan ang sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios, ug nakuptan niya kini.

And when they came to the threshing floor of Nodan, Uzza reached out his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the cattle stumbled.

7 Unya misilaob ang kasuko ni Yahweh batok kang Uza. Ang Dios miataki kaniya didto tungod sa iyang sala. Namatay si Uza didto duol sa sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza; and God struck him there for his error; and there he died before God.

8 Nasuko si David kay giataki ni Yahweh si Uza, ug gitawag niya kadtong dapita nga Peres Uza. Gitawag ang maong dapit nga Peres Uza hangtod niining mga adlawa.

And David was displeased, because the LORD had broken forth on Uzza; and he called that place Perez Uzza, to this day.

9 Nahadlok si David kang Yahweh nianang adlawa. Miingon siya, “Unsaon man sa pag-anhi sa sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh nganhi kanako?”

And David was afraid of the LORD that day; and he said, "How can the ark of God come to me?" Now the ark of the LORD arrived,

10 Busa dili buot ni David nga dad-on ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh uban kaniya ngadto sa siyudad ni David. Hinuon, gibutang niya kini sa balay ni Obed Edom nga Gitihanon.

but David was not willing to move the ark of the LORD with him to the City of David; so David diverted it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.

11 Nagpabilin ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh sa balay ni Obed Edom nga Gitihanon sulod sa tulo ka bulan. Busa gipanalanginan siya ni Yahweh ug ang iyang panimalay.

And the ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his house.

12 Karon gisultihan si Haring David, “Gipanalanginan ni Yahweh ang panimalay ni Obed Edom ug ang tanan nga iyaha tungod sa sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios.” Busa miadto si David ug gidala nga adunay kalipay ang sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios gikan sa balay ni Obed Edom ngadto sa siyudad ni David.

And it was told king David, saying, "The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him because of the ark of God." And David said, "I will bring back the blessing to my house." And David went and brought up the ark of the LORD from the house of Obed-Edom into the City of David with joy.

13 Sa dihang unom na ka lakang ang gilay-on sa mga nagdala sa sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh, naghalad siya ug toro ug tambok nga baka.

And it was so, that, when those who bore the ark of the LORD had gone six steps, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.

14 Misayaw si David atubangan ni Yahweh sa tibuok niyang kusog; nagsul-ob lamang siya ug lino nga epod.

And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.

15 Busa si David ug ang tanang panimalay sa Israel nagdala sa sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh uban ang panagsinggit ug pagpatingog sa mga trumpeta.

So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

16 Karon sa dihang miabot na ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh sa siyudad ni David, si Mikal, ang anak nga babaye ni Saul, mitan-aw sa bintana. Nakita niya si Haring David nga naglukso-lukso ug nagsayaw atubangan ni Yahweh. Unya gitamay niya siya sulod sa iyang kasingkasing.

Now, as the ark of the LORD was entering into the City of David, Mikal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

17 Gidala nila sa sulod ang sudlanan sa kasabotan ni Yahweh ug gibutang kini sa butanganan niini, sa tunga-tunga sa tolda nga gipabarog ni David alang niini. Unya naghalad si David ug mga halad sinunog ug mga halad sa pakigdait sa atubangan ni Yahweh.

And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had set up for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

18 Sa dihang nahuman na si David sa pagsakripisyo sa mga sinunog nga halad ug sa mga halad sa pakigdait, gipanalanginan niya ang tanang tawo sa ngalan ni Yahweh nga pangulo sa kasundalohang anghel.

And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.

19 Unya giapod-aporan niya ang tanang mga tawo, ang tibuok katawhan sa Israel, ang tanang kalalakin-an ug kababayen-an, ug tinapay, mga tipik sa karne, ug tinapay nga adunay pasas. Unya mibiya ang tanang tawo; ang matag usa mibalik sa ilang kaugalingong pinuy-anan.

And he gave to all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to everyone a portion of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake. So all the people departed everyone to his house.

20 Unya mibalik si David aron sa pagpanalangin sa iyang pamilya, si Mikal, ang anak nga babaye ni Saul, migawas aron pagsugat kang David ug miingon, “Pagkahalangdon sa hari sa Israel karong adlawa, nga naghubo sa iyang kaugalingon atubangan sa mga mata sa mga ulipong babaye taliwala sa iyang mga sulugoon, sama sa usa ka bastos nga tawo nga walay kaulaw sa paghubo sa iyang kaugalingon!”

And then David returned to bless his household. Mikal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David. And she greeted him, and said, "How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself."

21 Mitubag si David kang Mikal, “Gibuhat ko kana sa atubangan ni Yahweh, nga nagpili kanako labaw sa imong amahan ug labaw sa tanan niyang pamilya, nga nagtuboy kanako nga pangulo ibabaw sa katawhan ni Yahweh, ibabaw sa Israel. Magmalipayon ako atubangan ni Yahweh!

And David said to Mikal, "I was dancing before the LORD. Blessed be the LORD, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of the LORD, over Israel; therefore I will celebrate before the LORD.

22 Mas labaw pa akong tinamay kaysa niini, ug mapakaulawan ako sa akong kaugalingong mga mata. Apan pinaagi niining mga ulipong babaye nga imong giingon, mapasidunggan ako.”

And I will be yet more vile than this, and will be lowly in your eyes. But of the handmaids of whom you have spoken, they shall honor me."

23 Busa si Mikal, ang anak nga babaye ni Saul, walay anak hangtod sa adlaw sa iyang kamatayon.

And Mikal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
