1 Si Elias nga taga-Tishbe, gikan sa Tishbe Gilead, miingon kang Ahab, “Ingon nga buhi si Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel, nga kaniya ako mibarog, wala gayoy yamog o ulan niining mga tuiga gawas kung akong isulti.”
And Elie `of Thesbi, of the dwelleris of Galaad, seide to Achab, The Lord God of Israel lyueth, in whos siyt Y stonde, deeu and reyn schal not be in these yeeris, no but bi the wordis of my mouth.
2 Ang pulong ni Yahweh midangat kang Elias, nga nag-ingon,
And the word of the Lord was maad to hym, and seide,
3 “Pahawa dinhi ug lakaw ngadto sa sidlakang bahin; pagtago didto sa sapa sa Kerit, sa sidlakan sa Jordan.
Go thou awey fro hennus, and go ayens the eest, and be thou hid in the stronde of Carith, which is ayens Jordan,
4 Mahitabo kini nga didto ka magainom sa sapa, ug sugoon ko ang mga uwak sa pagpakaon kanimo didto.”
and there thou schalt drynke of the stronde; and Y comaundide to crowis, that thei feede thee there.
5 Busa milakaw si Elias ug gibuhat ang gisugo sumala sa pulong ni Yahweh. Miadto siya ug mipuyo sa daplin sa sapa sa Kerit, sa sidlakang bahin sa Jordan.
Therfor he yede, and dide bi the word of the Lord; and whanne he hadde go, he sat in the stronde of Carith, which is ayens Jordan.
6 Ang mga uwak nagdala kaniya ug mga tinapay ug mga karne matag buntag ug gabii, ug gainom siya sa sapa.
And crowis baren to hym breed and fleisch eerli; in lijk maner in the euentid; and he drank of the stronde.
7 Apan sa wala madugay mihubas ang sapa tungod kay wala may ulan sa maong dapit.
Forsothe after summe daies the stronde was dried; for it hadde not reynede on the erthe.
8 Miabot kaniya ang pulong ni Yahweh nga nag-ingon,
Therfor the word of the Lord was maad to hym, and seide,
9 “Barog, lakaw ngadto sa Zarefat, nga sakop sa Sidon, ug puyo didto. Tan-awa, gisugo ko ang usa ka balo didto sa pag-atiman kanimo.”
Rise thou, and go in to Serepta of Sydoneis, and thou schalt dwelle there; for Y comaundide to a womman, widewe there, that sche feede thee.
10 Busa mitindog siya ug miadto sa Zarefat, ug sa pag-abot niya sa ganghaan sa siyudad nakita niya ang usa ka balo nga nangahoy. Busa gitawag niya siya ug giingnan, “Palihog dad-i ako ug dyutay nga tubig aron makainom ako.”
He roos, and yede in to Sarepta of Sidoneis; and whanne he hadde come to the yate of the citee, a womman widewe gaderynge stickis apperide to hym; and he clepide hir, and seide to hir, Yyue thou to me a litil of water in a vessel, that Y drynke.
11 Sa paglakaw na sa usa ka babaye aron mokuha ug tubig gitawag niya siya, ug miingon, “Palihog dad-i usab ako ug usa ka buok tinapay nga anaa kanimo.”
And whanne sche yede to bringe, he criede bihynde hir bac, and seide, Y biseche, bringe thou to me also a mussel of breed in thin hond.
12 Mitubag siya, “Samtang buhi si Yahweh nga imong Dios, wala akoy tinapay, kondili usa lamang ka kumkom nga harina nga anaa sa tadyaw ug diyutay nga lana nga anaa sa tibod. Tan-awa, nangahoy ako ug duha ka kahoy aron mosulod na ako ug lutoon kini alang kanako ug sa akong anak nga lalaki, aron kaonon namo kini ug mamatay.”
And sche answeride, Thi Lord God lyueth, for Y haue no breed, no but as myche of mele in a pot, as a fist may take, and a litil of oile in a vessel; lo! Y gadere twei stickis, that Y entre, and make it to me, and to my sone, that we ete and die.
13 Miingon si Elias kaniya, “Ayaw kahadlok. Lakaw ug buhata ang imong giingon, apan lutoi una ako ug dyutay nga tinapay ug dad-a nganhi kanako. Unya human niana pagluto ug pipila alang kanimo ug alang sa imong anak nga lalaki.
And Elie seide to hir, Nyle thou drede, but go, and make as thou seidist; netheles make thou firste to me of that litil mele a litil loof, bakun vndur the aischis, and brynge thou to me; sotheli thou schalt make afterward to thee and to thi sone.
14 Kay nag-ingon si Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel, “Dili mahutdan sa harina ang tadyaw, ni moundang ang pagtubod sa lana sa imong tibod, hangtod sa adlaw nga paulanan na ni Yahweh ang yuta.”
Forsothe the Lord God of Israel seith thes thingis, The pot of mele schal not faile, and the vessel of oile schal not be abatid, til to the dai in which the Lord schal yyue reyn on the face of erthe.
15 Busa gihimo niya ang gisulti ni Elias kaniya. Siya ug si Elias, uban sa iyang panimalay, nakakaon sa daghang mga adlaw.
And sche yede, and dide bi the word of Elie; and he eet, and sche, and hir hows.
16 Ang tadyaw sa harina wala mahutdi, ni miundang ang pagtubod sa lana sa tibod, sumala sa pulong nga gisulti ni Yahweh, nga iyang gisulti pinaagi kang Elias.
And fro that dai the pot of mele failide not, and the vessel of oile was not abatid, bi the word of the Lord, which he hadde spoke in the hond of Elie.
17 Human nianang mga butanga nagsakit ang anak nga lalaki sa balo, nga mao ang tag-balay. Hilabihan kaayo ang iyang balatian nga wala na siya nagginhawa.
Forsothe it was doon aftir these wordis, the sone of a womman hosewijf was sijk, and the sijknesse was moost strong, so that breeth dwellide not in hym.
18 Busa ang iyang inahan miingon kang Elias, “Unsa man kining gidala mo batok kanako, tawo sa Dios? Mianhi ka ba kanako aron sa pagpahinumdom kanako sa akong sala ug pagpatay sa akong anak?”
Therfor sche seide to Elie, What to me and to thee, thou man of God? Entridist thou to me, that my wickidnessis schulden be remembrid, and that thou schuldist sle my sone?
19 Unya mitubag si Elias kaniya, “Ihatag kanako ang imong anak.” Gikuha niya ang batang lalaki gikan sa mga bukton sa babaye ug gidala niya sa taas ang batang lalaki sa lawak nga iyang gipuy-an, ug gipahigda niya ang bata sa iyang higdaanan.
And Elie seide to hir, Yyue thi sone to me. And he took `that sone fro hir bosum, and bar in to the soler, where he dwellide; and he puttide hym on his bed.
20 Mituaw siya kang Yahweh ug miingon, “Yahweh nga akong Dios, gipahamtang mo ba usab ang katalagman niining balo nga akong gipuy-an, pinaagi sa pagpatay sa iyang anak nga lalaki?”
And he criede to the Lord, and seide, My Lord God, whether thou hast turmentid also the widewe, at whom Y am susteyned in al maner, that thou killidist hir sone?
21 Unya gihap-an ni Elias ang bata sa makatulo ka higayon; nagtuaw siya kang Yahweh ug miingon, “Yahweh nga akong Dios, naghangyo ako kanimo, ibalik intawon ang kinabuhi niining bataa.”
He sprad abrood hym silf, and mat on the child bi thre tymes; and he cryede to the Lord, and seide, My Lord God, Y biseche, the soule of this child turne ayen in to the entrailis of hym.
22 Gidungog ni Yahweh ang pag-ampo ni Elias; ug nabuhi ang bata pag-usab.
The Lord herde the vois of Elie, and the soule of the child turnede ayen with ynne hym, and he lyuede ayen.
23 Gialsa ni Elias ang bata padulong sa silong sa balay gikan sa iyang lawak; gitunol niya ang bata ngadto sa iyang inahan ug miingon, “Tan-awa, nabuhi ang imong anak.”
And Elie took the child, and puttide hym doun of the soler in to the lower hows, and bitook him to his modir; and he seide to hir, Lo! thi sone lyueth.
24 Miingon ang babaye kang Elias, “Karon nasayod ako nga ikaw usa ka tawo sa Dios, ug tinuod ang pulong ni Yahweh sa imong baba.”
And the womman seide to Elie, Now in this Y haue knowe, that thou art the man of God, and the word of God is soth in thi mouth.
