Йов 18
1 Тогава шуахецът Валдад в отговор рече:
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 До кога още ще ловите думи? Първо разбирайте, и после ще говорим.
How long [will it be ere] ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
3 Защо сме считани като скотове, И станахме никакви пред вас?
Wherefore are we counted as beasts, [and] reputed vile in your sight?
4 О ти, който разкъсваш душата си в гнева си, За тебе ли ще бъде напусната земята, И скалите ще се преместят от мястото си?
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
5 Наистина светлината на нечестивия ще угасне, И пламъкът на огъня му няма да свети.
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
6 Светлината ще бъде мрак в шатъра му, И светилникът при него ще изгасне,
The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
7 Силното му стъпване ще се стесни. И собствените му намерения ще го повалят.
The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
8 Защото със своите си нозе той се хвърля в мрежа, И ходи върху примки.
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.
9 Клопка ще го улови за петата, Примка ще го хване.
The gin shall take [him] by the heel, [and] the robber shall prevail against him.
10 Въжето му е скрито в земята, И примката на пътя му.
The snare [is] laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
11 Ужаси ще го плашат отвред, И ще го гонят в петите.
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
12 Силата му ще чезне от глад, И бедствие ще бъде готово до хълбока му.
His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction [shall be] ready at his side.
13 Първородният на смъртта ще пояде членовете на тялото му. Да! ще пояде членовете му.
It shall devour the strength of his skin: [even] the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
14 Той ще бъде изкоренен от шатъра си, в който уповава, И ще бъде закаран при царя на ужасите.
His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
15 В шатъра му ще се засели това, което не е негово; Сяра ще се разпръсне върху жилището му.
It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because [it is] none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
16 Отдолу корените му ще изсъхнат, И отгоре клоните му ще се отсекат.
His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
17 Споменът му ще се изличи от земята, И името му не ще го има вече по улиците.
His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
18 Ще бъде изпъден от светлото в тъмното, И ще бъде изгонен от света.
He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19 Не ще има ни син, ни внук между людете си, Нито остатък в жилищата си.
He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
20 Идните поколения ще се смаят за деня му, Както и предишните се ужасиха.
They that come after [him] shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
21 Наистина такива са жилищата на нечестивия, И това е мястото на онзи, който не познава Бога.
Surely such [are] the dwellings of the wicked, and this [is] the place [of him that] knoweth not God.
