1 А в дванадесетия месец, който е месец Адар, на тринадесетия ден от същия, когато наближаваше времето да се изпълни царската заповед и указ, в деня когато неприятелите на юдеите се надяваха да им станат господари, (но напротив се обърна, че юдеите станаха господари, на ония, които ги мразеха),
So in the twelft moneth, which is the moneth Adar, vpon the thirteenth daye of the same, when the Kings commandement and his decree drew neere to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Iewes hoped to haue power ouer them (but it turned contrary: for the Iewes had rule ouer them that hated them)
2 юдеите се събраха в градовете си по всичките области на цар Асуира, за да турят ръка на ония, които биха искали злото им; и никой не можа да им противостои, защото страх от тях обзе всичките племена.
The Iewes gathered themselues together into their cities throughout all the prouinces of the King Ahashuerosh, to lay hande on such as sought their hurt, and no man coulde withstande them: for the feare of them fel vpon al people.
3 И всичките първенци на областите, и сатрапите, областните управители, и царските надзиратели помагаха на юдеите; защото страх от Мардохея ги обзе.
And all the rulers of the prouinces, and the princes and the captaines, and the officers of the King exalted the Iewes: for the feare of Mordecai fell vpon them.
4 Понеже Мардохей беше големец в царския дом, и славата му се разнесе по всичките области; защото човекът Мардохей ставаше все по-велик и по-велик.
For Mordecai was great in the kings house, and the report of him went through all the prouinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
5 И юдеите поразиха всичките си неприятели с удар от меч, с убиване, и с погубване, и сториха каквото искаха на ония, които ги мразеха.
Thus the Iewes smote all their enemies with strokes of the sworde and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they woulde vnto those that hated them.
6 И в столицата Суса юдеите, избиха и погубиха петстотин мъже.
And at Shushan the palace slewe the Iewes and destroyed fiue hundreth men,
7 Убиха и Фарсандата, Далфона, Аспата,
And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
8 Пората, Адалия, Аридата,
And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,
9 Фармаста, Арисая, Аридая и Ваезета,
And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vaiezatha,
10 десетте сина на неприятеля на юдеите Аман, Амедатаевия син; на имот обаче ръка не туриха.
The ten sonnes of Haman, ye sonne of Ammedatha, the aduersarie of the Iewes slewe they: but they layd not their hands on the spoyle.
11 На същия ден, като доложиха пред царя числото на избитите в столицата Суса,
On the same day came ye nomber of those that were slayne, vnto the palace of Shushan before the King.
12 царят рече на царица Естир: В столицата Суса юдеите са избили и погубили петстотин мъже и десетте Аманови сина; какво ли са направили и в другите царски области! Сега какво е прошението ти? и ще ти се удовлетвори; и каква е още молбата ти? и ще се изпълни.
And the King sayd vnto the Queene Ester, The Iewes haue slayne in Shushan the palace and destroyed fiue hundreth men, and the ten sonnes of Haman: what haue they done in the rest of the Kings prouinces? and what is thy petition, that it may be giuen thee? or what is thy request moreouer, that it may be performed?
13 И Естир каза: Ако е угодно на царя, нека се разреши на юдеите, които са в Суса, да направят и утре според указа за днес, и да обесят на бесилка десетте Аманови сина.
Then sayd Ester, If it please the King, let it be granted also to morow to the Iewes that are in Shushan, to do according vnto this daies decree, that they may hang vpon ye tree Hamans ten sonnes.
14 И царят заповяда да стане така; и издаде с указ в Суса, та обесиха десетте Аманови сина.
And the King charged to doe so, and the decree was giuen at Shushan, and they hanged Hamans ten sonnes.
15 И тъй, юдеите, които бяха в Суса, се събраха и на четиринадесетия ден от месец Адар, та избиха триста мъже в Суса; на имот, обаче, ръка не туриха.
So the Iewes that were in Shushan, assembled themselues vpon the fourteenth day of the moneth Adar, and slew three hundreth men in Shushan, but on the spoyle they layd not their hand.
16 А другите юдеи, които бяха по царските области, се събраха та стояха за живота си, и се успокоиха от неприятелите си, като избиха от ония, които ги мразеха, седемдесет и пет хиляди души; на имот, обаче, ръка не туриха.
And the rest of the Iewes that were in the Kings prouinces assembled themselues, and stood for their liues, and had rest from their enemies, and slewe of them that hated them, seuentie and fiue thousand: but they layd not their hand on the spoyle.
17 Това стана на тринадесетия ден от месец Адар; а на четиринадесетия ден от същия си почиваха, и го направиха ден за пируване и увеселение.
This they did on the thirteenth day of the moneth Adar, and rested the fourteenth day thereof, and kept it a day of feasting and ioy.
18 Но юдеите, които бяха в Суса, се събраха и на тринадесетия и на четиринадесетия му ден; а на петнадесетия от същия си почиваха, и го направиха ден за пируване и увеселение.
But the Iewes that were in Shushan assembled themselues on the thirteenth day, and on the fourteenth therof, and they rested on the fifteenth of the same, and kept it a day of feasting and ioy.
19 Ето защо юдеите селяни, които живееха в градове без стени, правят четиринадесетия ден от месец Адар, ден за увеселение и за пируване, и добър ден, и ден за пращане подаръци едни на други.
Therefore the Iewes of the villages that dwelt in the vnwalled townes, kept the foureteenth day of the moneth Adar with ioy and feasting, euen a ioyfull day, and euery one sent presents vnto his neighbour.
20 Тогава Мардохей, като описа тия събития, прати писма до всичките юдеи, които бяха по всичките области на цар Асуира, до ближните и до далечните,
And Mordecai wrote these words, and sent letters vnto all the Iewes that were through all the prouinces of the King Ahashuerosh, both neere and farre,
21 с които им заръча да пазят, всяка година, и четиринадесетия ден от месец Адар и петнадесетия от същия,
Inioyning them that they shoulde keepe the fourteenth day of the moneth Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, euery yeere.
22 като дните, в които юдеите се успокоиха от неприятелите си, и месеца, в който скръбта им се обърна на радост и плачът им в добър ден, та да ги правят дни за пируване и увеселение, и за пращане подаръци едни на други, и милостиня на сиромасите.
According to the dayes wherein the Iewes rested from their enemies, and the moneth which was turned vnto them from sorowe to ioy, and from mourning into a ioyfull day, to keepe them the dayes of feasting, and ioy, and to sende presents euery man to his neyghbour, and giftes to the poore.
23 И юдеите предприеха да правят както бяха почнали и както Мардохей им беше писал,
And the Iewes promised to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written vnto them,
24 по причина на агагецът Аман, син на Амедата, неприятелят на всичките юдеи, беше изхитрил против юдеите да ги погуби, и беше хвърлил пур (сиреч, жребие) да ги погуби и да ги изтреби;
Because Haman the sonne of Hammedatha the Agagite al the Iewes aduersarie, had imagined against the Iewes, to destroy them, and had cast Pur (that is a lot) to consume and destroy them.
25 когато обаче, Естир дойде пред царя, той с писма заповяда да се върне върху неговата глава замисленото зло, което беше наредил с хитрост против юдеите, и да се обесят на бесилката той и синовете му.
And when she came before the King, he commanded by letters, Let this wicked deuise (which he imagined against the Iewes) turne vpon his owne head, and let them hang him and his sonnes on the tree.
26 Затова, нарекоха ония дни Пурим, от името пур. За туй, поради всичките думи на това писмо, и поради онова, което бяха опитали в това събитие, и което им се бе случило,
Therfore they called these dayes Purim, by the name of Pur, and because of all the wordes of this letter, and of that which they had seene besides this, and of that which had come vnto them.
27 юдеите постановиха, и възприеха за себе си и за потомството си, и за всички, които биха се присъединили към тях, непрестанно да пазят тия два дни, според предписаното за тях и във времето им всяка година;
The Iewes also ordeined, and promised for them and for their seede, and for all that ioyned vnto them, that they would not faile to obserue those two dayes euery yeere, according to their writing, and according to their season,
28 и тия дни да са помнят и да се пазят във всеки век и във всеки род, във всяка области във всеки град; и тия дни Пурим да се не изоставят от юдеите, нито да изчезне споменът им между потомците им.
And that these dayes shoulde be remembred, and kept throughout euery generation and euery familie, and euery prouince, and euery citie: euen these daies of Purim should not faile among the Iewes, and the memoriall of them should not perish from their seede.
29 Тогава царица Естир, дъщеря на Авихаила, и юдеина Мардохей писаха втори път със силно наблягане за да утвърдят написаното за Пурима.
And the Queene Ester ye daughter of Abihail and Mordecai the Iew wrote with al authoritie (to cofirme this letter of Purim ye second time)
30 При това, Мардохей прати писма до всичките юдеи в сто и двадесет и седемте области на Асуировото царство, с думи на мир и искреност,
And he sent letters vnto al the Iewes to the hundreth and seuen and twentie prouinces of the kingdome of Ahashuerosh, with words of peace and trueth,
31 за да утвърди тия дни Пурим във времената им, според както юдеинът Мардохей и царица Естир им бяха заповядали, и както бяха постановили за себе си и за потомството си, в спомен на постите и плача си.
To confirme these dayes of Purim, according to their seasons, as Mordecai the Iewe and Ester the Queene had appointed them, and as they had promised for them selues and for their seede with fasting and prayer.
32 И тая наредба за Пурима се потвърди със заповедта на Естир; и записа се в книгата.
And the decree of Ester confirmed these words of Purim, and was written in the booke.
