1 সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো, আমাদের ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে প্রশংসা করা কত উত্তম, তাঁর প্রশংসা করা কত মনোরম ও যথাযোগ্য।

Alleluya. Herie ye the Lord, for the salm is good; heriyng be myrie, and fair to oure God.

2 সদাপ্রভু জেরুশালেমকে গড়ে তোলেন, তিনি নির্বাসিত ইস্রায়েলকে একত্র করেছেন।

The Lord schal bilde Jerusalem; and schal gadere togidere the scateryngis of Israel.

3 তিনি ভগ্নচিত্তদের সুস্থ করেন, এবং তাদের সব ক্ষতস্থান তিনি বেঁধে দেন।

Which Lord makith hool men contrit in herte; and byndith togidere the sorewes of hem.

4 আকাশের তারাদের সংখ্যা তিনি নির্ণয় করেন, এবং তাদের প্রত্যেককে তিনি নাম ধরে ডাকেন।

Which noumbrith the multitude of sterris; and clepith names to alle tho.

5 মহান আমাদের প্রভু ও অতিশয় শক্তিমান, তার বোধশক্তির কোনও সীমা নেই।

Oure Lord is greet, and his vertu is greet; and of his wisdom is no noumbre.

6 সদাপ্রভু নম্রচিত্তদের বাঁচিয়ে রাখেন কিন্তু দুষ্টদের ভূমিতে নিক্ষেপ করেন।

The Lord takith vp mylde men; forsothe he makith low synneris `til to the erthe.

7 স্তবসহ সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ধন্যবাদ করো; বীণার ঝঙ্কারে আমাদের ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে গান গাও।

Bifore synge ye to the Lord in knoulechyng; seye ye salm to oure God in an harpe.

8 তিনি মেঘরাশি দিয়ে আকাশকে আচ্ছন্ন করেন; তিনি পৃথিবীতে বৃষ্টি দেন, এবং তিনি পর্বতে ঘাস বৃদ্ধি করেন।

Which hilith heuene with cloudis; and makith redi reyn to the erthe. Which bryngith forth hei in hillis; and eerbe to the seruice of men.

9 তিনি পশুপালের জন্য খাবারের জোগান দেন এবং দাঁড়কাকের শাবকগুলিকে দেন, যখন তারা ডাকে।

Which yyueth mete to her werk beestis; and to the briddys of crowis clepinge hym.

10 তিনি ঘোড়ার শক্তিতে আনন্দ করেন না, যোদ্ধার বলে তিনি সন্তুষ্ট হন না;

He schal not haue wille in the strengthe of an hors; nether it schal be wel plesaunt to hym in the leggis of a man.

11 সদাপ্রভু তাদের উপর সন্তুষ্ট যারা তাঁকে সম্ভ্রম করে, যারা তাঁর অবিচল প্রেমে আস্থা রাখে।

It is wel plesaunt to the Lord on men that dreden hym; and in hem that hopen on his mercy.

12 হে জেরুশালেম, সদাপ্রভুর গুণকীর্তন করো; হে সিয়োন, তোমার ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা করো।

Jerusalem, herie thou the Lord; Syon, herie thou thi God.

13 কারণ তিনি তোমার দরজার খিল দৃঢ় করেন, এবং তিনি তোমার মধ্যে তোমার লোকেদের আশীর্বাদ করেন।

For he hath coumfortid the lockis of thi yatis; he hath blessid thi sones in thee.

14 তিনি তোমার সীমান্তে শান্তি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন, এবং সেরা গম দিয়ে তোমাকে পরিতৃপ্ত করেন।

Which hath set thi coostis pees; and fillith thee with the fatnesse of wheete.

15 তিনি তাঁর আদেশ পৃথিবীতে প্রেরণ করেন; এবং তার বাক্য দ্রুতবেগে ছুটে যায়।

Which sendith out his speche to the erthe; his word renneth swiftli.

16 তিনি সাদা পশমের মতো বরফ ছড়িয়ে দেন এবং ছাইয়ের মতো তুষার ছিটিয়ে দেন।

Which yyueth snow as wolle; spredith abrood a cloude as aische.

17 তিনি নুড়ি-পাথরের মতো শিলা নিক্ষিপ্ত করেন। তাঁর হাড় কাঁপানো শীত কে সহ্য করতে পারে?

He sendith his cristal as mussels; who schal suffre bifore the face of his cooldnesse?

18 তিনি তাঁর বাক্য পাঠিয়ে সেই সমস্ত গলিয়ে দেন; তিনি তাঁর বায়ু জাগিয়ে তোলেন আর জল প্রবাহিত হয়।

He schal sende out his word, and schal melte tho; his spirit schal blowe, and watris schulen flowe.

19 তিনি যাকোবের কাছে তাঁর বাক্য, ইস্রায়েলের কাছে তাঁর বিধি ও অনুশাসন প্রকাশ করেছেন।

Which tellith his word to Jacob; and hise riytfulnessis and domes to Israel.

20 তিনি অন্য কোনও জাতির জন্য এসব করেননি; কারণ তাঁর বিধিনিয়ম তারা জানে না। সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো।

He dide not so to ech nacioun; and he schewide not hise domes to hem.
