গীতসংহিতা 13

1 ১ প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। দায়ূদের একটি গীত। কতকাল, সদাপ্রভুু, তুমি আমাকে ভুলে থাকবে? তুমি আমার কাছ থেকে কতকাল তোমার মুখ লুকাবে?

For the end, a Psalm of David. How long, O Lord, wilt thou forget me? for ever? how long wilt thou turn away thy face from me?

2 ২ আমি কতকাল ধরে আমার প্রাণের মধ্যে চিন্তা করবো, সমস্ত দিন আমার হৃদয়ে মধ্যে দুঃখ রাখব? কতকাল আমার শত্রু আমার উপরে উন্নত হতে থাকবে?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrows in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

3 ৩ সদাপ্রভুু আমার ঈশ্বর! আমাকে দেখো এবং উত্তর দাও, আমার চোখ আলোকিত কর বা আমি মৃত্যুর মধ্যে ঘুমাবো।

Look on me, hearken to me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep in death;

4 ৪ আমার শত্রু না বলে, “আমি তাকে পরাজিত করেছি,” যাতে আমার শত্রু বলতে না পারে, “আমি আমার প্রতিপক্ষের উপর জয়লাভ করেছি,” অন্যভাবে, আমার শত্রুরা আনন্দিত হবে যখন আমি পরাস্ত হব।

lest at any time mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him: my persecutors will exult if ever I should be moved.

5 ৫ কিন্তু আমি তোমার নিয়মের বিশ্বস্ততায় বিশ্বাস করেছি; আমার হৃদয় তোমার পরিত্রানের মধ্যে উল্লাসিত।

But I have hoped in thy mercy; my heart shall exult in thy salvation.

6 ৬ আমি সদাপ্রভুুর উদ্দেশ্যে গান করব, কারণ তিনি আমার মঙ্গল করেছেন।

I will sing to the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me, and I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord most high.
