< Apokalipsia 13 >

1 Orduan ikus neçan bestiabat itsassotic igaiten cela, çazpi buru eta hamar adar cituenic, eta bere adar gainetan hamar diadema: eta bere buru gainetan basphemiotaco icen-bat.
Then I saw rising up out of the sea a beast who had ten horns and seven heads. On his horns he had ten diadems, and on his heads blasphemous titles.
2 Eta nic ikussi vkan nuen bestiác Leoparta irudi çuen, eta haren oinac ciraden hartzarenac beçalaco: eta haren ahoa lehoinaren ahoa beçalaco: eta eman cieçon hari dragoinac bere puissançá, eta thronoa, eta bothere handi.
The beast I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were bear’s feet, and his mouth a lion’s mouth. The dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.
3 Eta ikus neçan haren buruetaric bat heriotara çauria beçala, baina haren heriotaraco çauria sendatu içan cen: eta miraculuz cegoela lur gucia iarreiqui cequión bestiari.
And I saw that one of his heads seemed to have been mortally wounded, but its deadly wound had been healed. The whole earth was following the beast, wondering.
4 Eta adora ceçaten, bestiari bothere eman ceraucan dragoina, eta adora ceçaten bestiá, cioitela, Nor da bestia irudi duenic? haren contra nor combati ahal daite?
Men worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying. "Who is like the beast? Who can fight with him?"
5 Eta eman cequión aho gauça handiac eta blasphemioac pronuntiatzen cituena, eta eman cequión bothere berroguey eta bi hilebetheren complitzeco.
And he was permitted to utter loud boasts and blasphemies; and there was given to him authority to continue forty-two months.
6 Eta irequi ceçan bere ahoa blasphematzera Iaincoaren contra, blasphema litzançát haren icena, eta haren tabernaclea, eta ceruän diradenac.
So he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle (those who live in his tabernacle in heaven).
7 Eta eman cequión sainduén contra-ere guerla eguitea, eta hæy garaitzea: eta eman cequión bothere leinu, eta mihi, eta natione ororen gainean.
The beast was allowed to wage war upon the saints, and to conquer them; and there was given him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation;
8 Eta adoratzen çutén hura lurreco habitant guciéc, ceinén icenac ezpaitirade scribatuac, munduaren fundationetic hil içan den Bildotsaren vicitzeco liburuän
and each one whose name has not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who has been slain from the foundation of the world. All who dwell on the earth shall worship him.
9 Baldin nehorc beharriric badu, ençun beça.
Let him who has ears to hear, listen.
10 Baldin nehorc captiuitatera eramaiten badu, captiuitatera eramanen da bera: baldin nehorc ezpataz hil badeça, behar da hura ezpataz hil dadin: hemen da sainduén patientiá eta fedea.
Whoever is destined to go into captivity, goes into captivity. Whoever shall kill with the sword, shall surely be killed by the sword. (Here is the endurance and faith of the saints.)
11 Guero ikus neçan, berce bestiabat igaiten cela lurretic, eta cituen bi adar Bildotsarenac irudi: baina dragoina beçala minço cen.
And I saw another beast ascending from the land; and he had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon;
12 Eta harc lehen bestiaren bothere gucia exercitzen çuen haren presentián: eta eguiten çuen, lurrac eta hartaco habitantéc adora leçaten leheneco bestia hura, ceinen heriotaraco çauria sendatu içan baitzén.
and he exerts the full authority of the first beast before him, and he makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast whose death-stroke was healed.
13 Eta signo handiac eguiten cituen, hambat non sua cerutic lurrera eraits eraciten baitzuen guiçonén aitzinean.
And he performs great miracles, so that he even causes fire to come down to the earth from the sky, before men’s eyes.
14 Eta seducitzen cituen lurreco habitantac signoén causaz, ceinén eguitea eman içan baitzayón bestiaren aitzinean: ciostela lurreco habitantey, eguin lieçoten imaginabat bestia hari, cein ezpataz çauri içan baitzén, baina viztu içan da.
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth, because of the miracles, which he is permitted to perform in the sight of the beast. He tells those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the sword-stroke, yet lived.
15 Eta hari eman cequión, bestiaren imaginari spiritu eman lieçón, eta bestiaren imaginá minça ledin, eta eguin leçan, bestiaren imaginá adoratzen ezluten guciac, hil litecen.
And he was permitted to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast should speak; and so that any one who would not worship the image of the beast should be put to death.
16 Eta eguiten çuen, guciéc, chippiéc eta handiéc, abratséc eta paubréc, libréc eta sclaboéc hartzen baitzuten mercabat bere escu escuinean, edo bere belarretan.
And he makes all men, low and high, rich and poor, freemen and slaves, to have a brand put upon their right hands or upon their brows,
17 Eta nehorc ecin eros leçan edo sal mercá luenec baicen, edo bestiaren icena, edo haren icenaren contua.
so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the brand of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Hemen da sapientiá: adimenduric duenac conta beça bestiaren icena: ecen contua guiçonarena da, eta haren contua, sey ehun eta hiruroguey eta sey.
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man; and his number is 666.
