< Mateo 9 >

1 Orduan sarthuric vncira iragan cedin berce aldera, eta ethor cedin bere hirira.
And, entering into a boat, he crossed over, and came into his own city.
2 Eta huná, presenta cieçoten paralyticobat ohean cetzanic: eta ikussiric Iesusec hayén fedea, erran cieçón paralyticoari, Auc bihotz on, semé, barkatu çaizquic eure bekatuac.
And lo! they were bringing unto him a paralytic, on a couch, laid prostrate; and Jesus, seeing, their faith, said to the paralytic, —Take courage! child, forgiven are thy sins.
3 Eta huná, Scribetaric batzuc erraiten çuten bere baithan, Hunec blasphematzen du.
And lo! certain of the scribes, said within themselves, —This man, speaketh profanely!
4 Eta ikussiric Iesusec hayén pensamenduac, erran ceçan, Cergatic gaichtoqui pensatzen duçue çuen bihotzetan?
And Jesus, knowing, their inward thoughts, said, —To what end are ye cherishing evil thoughts within your hearts?
5 Ecen cein da erratchago, erraitea, Barkatu çaizquic eure bekatuac: ala erraitea, Iaiqui adi eta ebil adi?
For which is easier—To say, Forgiven are thy sins, —or to say, Rise and be walking!
6 Daquiçuençat bada ecen guiçonaren Semeac baduela authoritate lurrean bekatuén barkatzeco (orduan diotsó paralyticoari) Iaiqui adi, har eçac eure ohea, eta habil eure etcherát.
But, that ye may know, that the Son of Man hath, authority, upon the earth, to be forgiving sins, then, saith he to the paralytic, —Rise! take up thy couch, and withdraw unto thy house.
7 Orduan iaiquiric ioan cedin bere etcherát.
And, rising, he departed unto his house.
8 Eta gendetzéc hori ikussiric mirets ceçaten, eta glorifica ceçaten Iaincoa, ceinec eman vkan baitraue halaco authoritatea guiçoney.
Now the multitudes, seeing, were struck with fear, and glorified the God who had given authority, such as this, unto men.
9 Eta handic iragaiten cela Iesusec ikus ceçan guiçombat peage lekuan iarria Mattheu deitzen cenic, eta diotsó, Arreit niri. Eta iaiquiric iarreiqui cequión:
And Jesus, passing aside from thence, saw a man presiding over the tax-office, called, Matthew, and saith unto him, —Be following me. And, arising, he followed him.
10 Eta guertha cedin Iesus haren etchean mahainean iarriric cegoela, huná, anhitz publicano eta vicitze gaichtotacoric ethorriric, iar baitzitecen mahainean Iesusequin eta haren discipuluequin.
And it came to pass, as he was reclining in the house, that lo! many tax-collectors and sinners, came, and were reclining together with Jesus and his disciples.
11 Eta hori ikussiric Phariseuéc erran cieçén haren discipuluey, Cergatic publicanoequin eta vicitze gaichtotacoequin iaten du çuen magistruac?
And, the Pharisees, observing it, began to say unto his disciples, —Wherefore, with tax-collectors and sinners, doth your Teacher eat?
12 Orduan Iesusec hori ençunic erran ciecén, Osso diradenéc eztute medicuren beharric, baina eri diradenéc.
And, he, hearing it, said, —No need have the strong, of a physician, but they who are sick.
13 Baina çoazte, eta ikas eçaçue cer den, Misericordia nahi dut eta ez sacrificio. Ecen eznaiz ethorri iustoén deitzera, baina bekatorén, emendamendutara.
But go ye, and learn what this meaneth, —Mercy, I desire, and not, sacrifice; For I came, not to call the righteous, but sinners.
14 Orduan ethor citecen harengana Ioannesen discipuluac, cioitela, Cergatic guc eta Phariseuéc barur eguiten dugu maiz, eta hire discipuluéc ezpaitute baruric eguiten?
Then come near unto him the disciples of John, saying, —Wherefore do, we, and the Pharisees, fast, whereas, thy disciples, fast not?
15 Eta erran ciecen Iesusec, Ezconduaren gamberaco gendéc doluric ekar ahal dirote, ezcondua hequin deno? Baina ethorriren dirade egunac edequiren baitzaye ezcondua eta orduan barur eguinen baituqueite.
And Jesus said unto them, —Can, the sons of the bridechamber, mourn, so long as, the bridegroom, is, with them? But days will come, when the bridegroom, shall be taken from them, and, then, will they fast.
16 Halaber nehorc eztrauca eratchequiten oihal pedaçu latzbat abillamendu çar bati: ecen compligarri eratchequiac edequiten du abillamendutic, eta gaizquitzenago da ethendurá.
Howbeit, no one, layeth on a patch of unshrunk cloth, upon an old garment, —for the shrinking of it teareth away from the garment, and, a worse rent, is made.
17 Eta eztute eçarten mahatsarno berria çahagui çarretan: ezpere lehertzen dirade çahaguiac, eta mahatsarnoa issurten, eta çahaguiac galtzen: baina mahatsarno berria çahagui berrietan eçarten duté, eta biac beguiratzen dirade.
Neither pour they new wine into old skins: otherwise at least, the skins are burst, and, the wine, runneth out, and, the skins, are spoiled, —but they pour new wine into unused skins, and, both, are together preserved.
18 Gauça hauc hæy erraiten cerauztela, huná, iaun batec ethorriric adora ceçan hura, cioela, Ene alaba orain hil içan duc: baina ethorriric eçarrac eure escua haren gainean, eta vicico baita.
While, these things, he was speaking unto them, lo! a [certain] ruler, came, and began bowing down to him, saying, —My daughter, just now died! But come, and lay thy hand upon, her, and she shall live.
19 Eta iaiquiric Iesus iarreiqui cequión, eta haren discipuluac.
And Jesus, arising, was following him, also his disciples.
20 (Eta huná, hamabi vrthez odol iariatzez eri cen emazte batec guibeletic ethorriric hunqui ceçan haren abillamendu ezpaina.
And lo! a woman, having a flow of blood twelve years, coming near behind, touched the fringe of his mantle.
21 Ecen erraiten çuen bere baithan, Baldin solament hunqui badeçat haren abillamendua, sendaturen naiz.
For she kept saying within herself, —If only I touch his mantle, I shall be made well!
22 Orduan Iesusec itzuliric eta hura ikussiric erran ceçan, Aun bihotz on, alabá, eure fedeac saluatu au. Eta senda cedin emaztea ordu berean).
And, Jesus, turning and seeing her, said, —Take courage! daughter, Thy faith, hath made thee well. And the woman was made well, from that hour.
23 Eta Iesusec ethorriric iaun haren etchera eta ikussiric soinulariac, eta gendetzea tumultu ari cela,
And, Jesus, coming, into the house of the ruler, and seeing the flute-players and the multitude in confusion, was saying:
24 Dioste, Retira çaitezte, ecen ezta hil nescatchá: baina lo datza. Eta truffatzen ciraden harçaz.
Give place! for the maiden died not, but is sleeping. And they began to deride him.
25 Eta idoqui içan cenean gendetzea, sarthuric, har ceçan haren escua: eta iaiqui cedin nescatchá.
But, when the multitude had been put forth, he went in, and grasped her hand, —and the maiden arose.
26 Eta laster ceguian fama hunec lur hartan gucian.
And forth went this report, into the whole of that land.
27 Eta Iesus handic iragaiten cela, iarreiqui içan çaizcan bi itsu oihuz ceudela, eta cioitela, Auc pietate guçaz, Dauid-en semeá.
And, as Jesus, was passing aside from thence, there followed him, two blind men, crying aloud and saying, —Have mercy on us, O Son of David!
28 Eta ethorri cenean etchera, ethor citecen harengana itsuoc, eta dioste Iesusec, Sinhesten duçue hori ahal daididala? Diotsote, bay Iauna.
And, when he entered the house, the blind men came unto him, —and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye, that I can, do this? They say unto him, Yea, Lord!
29 Orduan hunqui citzan hayén beguiac, cioela, Çuen fedearen araura eguin bequiçue.
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith, be it done unto you.
30 Eta irequi citecen hayén beguiac, eta debeta citzan mehatchurequin Iesusec, cioela, Beguirauçue nehorc eztaquian.
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus, sternly charged them, saying, Mind! let no one know!
31 Baina hec ilkiric barreya ceçaten haren famá herri hartan gucian.
They, however, going forth, made him known throughout the whole of that land.
32 Eta hec ilkiten ciradela, huná, presenta cieçoten guiçon mutu demoniatubat.
And, as, they, were going forth, lo! there was brought to him, a dumb man, demonized.
33 Eta deabrua campora egotzi içan cenean, minça cedin mutua: eta mirets ceçaten gendetzéc, cioitela, Egundano ezta aguertu hunelaco gauçaric Israelen.
And, the demon being cast out, the dumb man spoke; and the multitudes marvelled, saying, —Never, was it seen thus, in Israel.
34 Baina Phariseuéc erraiten çuten, Deabruén princearen partez campora egoizten ditu deabruac.
[But, the Pharisees, beg to say, In the ruler of the demons, is he casting out the demons.]
35 Eta inguratzen cituen Iesusec hiri eta burgu guciac, iracasten ari cela hayén synagoguetan, eta predicatzen çuela resumaco Euangelioa eta sendatzen çuela eritassun mota gucia eta langore mota gucia populuan.
And Jesus was going round all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the glad-message of the kingdom, —and curing every disease, and every infirmity.
36 Eta ikussiric Iesusec gendetzeac, compassione har ceçan heçaz, ceren baitziraden errebelatuac eta barreyatuac ardi artzainic eztutenac beçala.
But, seeing the multitudes, he was moved with compassion concerning them, because they were torn and thrown down, like sheep hating no shepherd.
37 Orduan dioste bere discipuluey, Segur vztá handi da, baina languile guti.
Then, saith he unto his disciples, The harvest, indeed, is great, but, the labourers, few;
38 Othoitz eguioçue bada vzta Iabeari, irion ditzan languileac bere vztara.
Beg ye, therefore, of the Lord of the harvest, —That he would thrust forth labourers, into his harvest.
